" February 9, 2022 5.0 Pros I love that we are able to connect with both our Facebook and Instagram profiles and schedule content from one platform. Before finding Later, I was signing into two social media accounts and creating the same content on both. This software allows me to create one post that is sent to multiple channels, all from one interface. This eliminates having to login to multiple account and also eliminates the potential of get lost in the endless news and image feeds! Cons I wish they offered a desktop app instead of needing to be in a web browser. This is a minor inconvenience, but would be a huge plus if they added this as a feature. This makes it easier to curate the feeds of businesses. It also allows you to schedule the first comment, and this is useful for whenever you want to use hashtags and don't want to mess up the caption. It is also easy to collaborate with clients because you can send them a link to the calendar and they do not need a Later account to collaborate with you. Cons The only downside to this software is the necessity to refresh your connection tokens way too often. Also, there is no option to save posts as drafts. This is a luxury I love having since I don't like posting on social media but it's critical for my business. Definitely worth the cost and set up in my opinion! Pros The thing I like most about this software is this basic idea of being able to front load your content, which I thought was great when I first heard of it, and the execution on the software is great as well. You can have multiple social media accounts and platforms connected so once you set yourself up, you don't have to think about it again. The platform itself is thorough, as you can also edit pictures and manage all your posts and content, which is also a great feature! Cons The thing I like least about this software is the cost. While it's not over priced I wouldn't say, it's not the cheapest software out there, so you'll definitely want to be sure it's worth having before committing. Pros This has saved my team a lot of time in planning our content ahead of time. It's relatively easy to use. Cons You have to manually go in and post carousel posts as well as stories. Pros The main reason I use Later for Instagram publishing (we use another publishing tool for our other social sites) is for the ability to easily use the linkin.bio feature right as you make the post. It's so convenient for us so that our followers are able to easily find the topic or article we are posting about. Cons We use the free version since we are only publishing to one account, so this may be available to the paid users, but I do wish we could publish short videos from here or add the linkin.bio to videos (after the fact). CEO Arts and Crafts Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Useful features not found in most other tools" June 28, 2022 5.0 If I could only pick one social media scheduling tool, I'd pick Later due to some of the unique feature sets as I have mentioned above. However because it is definitely pricier than other tools out there (especially if you need to post a lot or add teammates), it won't be the best fit for everyone out there. Pros There's a lot I like about Later, but two features make it stand out from the competition. One of it is being able to choose the thumbnail I want displayed for a video. A lot of tools do not have this feature, but if they do, they ask you to upload a separate image for the thumbnail. Later, however, allows you to choose from within the video which cuts down a step for me in my content creation process. Another feature that makes Later probably one of the best tools for social media is the ability to use User Generated Content (UGC) for your own posts right inside of tool. You can save posts that others have made by searching through hashtags or posts that you've been mentioned in. You can then use these saved posts to schedule them for your own feed. This is an extremely useful feature that only Later seems to have. Cons What I like least about Later is of course the pricing. It is more expensive compared to some other tools out there and omit some useful features from their lower tier plans while other tools include them in their lower priced plans. Pros What I like most about this software is it’s visual planner for Instagram feeds which allows you visually organize your posts before they are published as opposed to other tools that don’t allow you to see how a group of automated posts will look on your brands page. Another Instagram feature that I like the most is it’s newest add-on which allows you to create and automate Instagram stories from within the software itself. Cons What I like least about this software is it lack of features for other social media platforms like Facebook compared to its multitude of features for Instagram. Once You Figure It Out" September 24, 2020 4.0 Later gets the job done, but some people on our team prefer to post directly in Instagram and schedule Facebook posts using Facebook's own post-scheduling function, particularly with multi-image posts that require manual action for the post to go live. Pros Our team has been able to schedule image-based posts to Instagram and Facebook as far in advance as we're able. They've recently added the ability to schedule a post across multiple accounts, which is much easier now that you don't have to copy/paste from one to the other. We can upload all the images we want to use at once and then schedule them out as needed. Cons You must start with an image, rather than writing content and adding an image later. Multi-image posts can be created and scheduled in Later on the computer but must be manually posted via the mobile app when the time comes. To use Later well for Instagram and Facebook, you MUST have an Instagram business account and it MUST be linked to a Facebook page. My workflow is so much better for this app. Pros The visual calendar is my absolute favorite feature of Later. I can easily visually layout my weeks and months' worth of posts visually without having to make a calendar or rely just on dates. I also love the image filter so you can see what images are unused. Cons There isn't much I dislike about Later that is specifically a software issue. Pros I really like Later's easy to use features. It's very good for visually scheduling Instagram posts. Cons I have been emailing them for over 72 hours trying to add two new Instagram profiles to my account. I've sent multiple emails & chats with no response. It's extremely upsetting that they're are causing turmoil in my on-boarding process especially when I am trying to pay them more money. If they're going to take 48-72 hours to get back to paying customers, please just allow us to automatically add new accounts on our end. Such a great tool. Pros The best part of using Later is being able to schedule an entire month of posts ahead of time to multiple platforms! Its a game changer for me. As a full time fundraiser / nonprofit leader, I really need to prioritize my time. I can't be worrying every day about if I posted or didn't post to social media. Thanks to Later, I'm able to do it all at once and forget about it. Cons The only bad part about Later is that you can't post multiple photos to Instagram in one post, but that is not later's fault. October 10, 2018 5.0 I've used the free version of the app at an old job where I scheduled content for clients as well as for a non-profit university organization. The results from the nonprofit have been very helpful. The Later app helps keep current and potential volunteers well-informed and easy to reach. Pros The easy ability to schedule posts to Instagram was the biggest appeal of this software to me. Not many scheduling apps offer this feature, let alone for free. I love that it features the ability to create a social calendar for multiple social channels, all of which can be accessed both on a mobile phone and on a desktop computer. I have used both mediums for scheduling and I am very happy with the results. Cons Despite the ability to post for free, a user must have their mobile device out for the right day and time a post was scheduled. The reason being you have to open the app and then manually post your saved content. For a fee (which I'm sure many brands can afford), the post will publish to Instagram automatically. Although it posts to FB and Twitter automatically, it can be stressful to remember when you need to have your phone near you for the notification to manually post the saved Instagram post. Later is a useful and easy-to-use schedule tool for Instagram, allowing to create a special link that can be added in the bio and which contains all our posts with redirect links. The Linkin.bio feature also work for the content that were already published. Cons We unfortunately cannot publish directly on Instagram by using Later. November 26, 2019 4.0 Was looking for an IG scheduling app and this is the first I tried -- and I love it. So handy and easy to use. Love that I can use my computer and not a phone to post. But it is also accessible via phone so a win-win. I feel much more organized using Later. Pros I just started using later about 6 months ago to schedule my IG posts. It's so much easier using my laptop to compose and post IG posts than a phone! I love how I can upload a bunch of posts into the library and have them ready, and schedule them out for days. Also love that I can post to IG and FB at the same time! Keep tags in a little library, too, and can paste them in as needed. So handy! Cons I know I can't complain about a free version but I do with I could schedule videos and multiple images. That's about the only shortfall for me so far. But that's on me.
