I know longer do anything manually and it is a great automation tool that fits in well with othert automation tools that I use to supper my marketing journey with the company. Pros The ability to use multiple social media accounts representin the company. The scheduler is super easy with a quick upload and drag and drop interface with multiple customizable posts. Cons I think the integration on other social media platforms has been slow but they are getting there. Sometimes the failed posting isn't the most forgiving and doesn't warn you about posts that may have issues. I think its definitely worth the price, but would like if they allowed a few more users per pricing plan. It is simple, easy, and convenient to use. It really allows you to be in control over your social. Pros I like the flexibility it has to post and schedule different types of content for Instagram. I really like that you get a preview of your posts and you can plan them out so far ahead.. You actually get a link you can share of your planned posts so other people can see it. My favorite part of later is that you can post directly to Instagram, it allows you to tag people and tag locations. This software also gives you analytics, allows you to pull content from others via hashtags and searches, and it allows you to add other users as contributors. Cons I currently don't like that you can't auto publish carousel photos but I think that's more of an Instagram API issue than anything else. It's reliable, it autoposts to IG as long as you have an IG business account. It's super easy to use and sort of has a built in content calendar. Pros I like that you can house your unused photos and that it lets you know how many posts you've used a certain photo in. So if I post it to say Pinterest, FB, and Twitter it will say it's been used 3 times. This helps me manage a huge bucket of content. I really enjoy being able to see the whole upcoming week's posts at a glance and move them around easily if needed. Cons Sometimes uploading photos glitch out. You are limited by file size so often times I have to go to the internet to edit them using Pixlr etc. Also you can't see further back than a few weeks on the calendar on the free plan. " September 11, 2018 2.0 Terrible. Pros Easy to use and easy to stay organized. Cons ​Customer service is terrible. The platform is full of bugs - had to report them every other week. After sending them several emails reporting the bugs, I suggested an improvement to the app (a fix to posting time - every time you edit a future post, the posting time automatically sets to current time which is very annoying because most of the time I want to move it a few days/hours/minutes, but then I forget when I originally scheduled it, so I have to cancel and to check original post time to go back again and edit it - I suggested not to move the time to current time because there's a button to post "NOW" so the time automatically moving to current was very annoying) They just brushed me off and told me to go write that suggestion on a forum and "let the people decide" if it was worth the fix. I mean I already report your bugs every other week, don't ask me to take more of my time to go to a different forum to suggest it. It was a legit improvement. I'm not even going to go and explain the countless of emails I have to send to upgrade my account because apparently, you can only do it the SECOND you are ready not even a day before, but the SECOND you are ready. So, I did so (after already a few emails telling them I would need it in a few days) well, they take a day and a half (I'm still waiting) to upgrade, while I have a deadline tomorrow. I think the best feature is the visual aspect. Being able to see what your feed is going to look like is really important and a feature missing from any other program I've tried. The scheduler is also great to be used across Tiktok, IG and FB. Cons The mobile app can be a little wonky. It will send me a push notification saying it's time to publish a post and then there won't be any posts available for me to publish. It also will say it's copied my caption to the clipboard and then there sometimes won't be anything to paste. There's some really good options in the service, but like I mentioned, I was disappointed I couldn't fully auto publish everything on every platform. Trying to keep up with social media is difficult and it seems pretty much no one can make auto publishing for every single post on every platform a reality so we still have to sub contract marketing and media managers on top of paying for the Later service. It's just a merry go round of fees and charges to keep paying for and keep track of for any business. Pros I like that Later has a ton of helpful tips and information to help my business stay up to date with trends and changes/updates in social media. Cons I can't seem to auto publish evvvvery post on evvvery platform, I would like to be able to auto publish literally everything from stories to reels to permanent posts, and on every platform from the usual Facebook and Instagram to YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok and LinkedIn Reason for choosing Later Social Because we wanted to find an option that would cover more social media scheduling and insight along with the auto publishing etc. so we tried Later since it has lots of tips and info provided to help you be more successful with your social media usage. Pros I loved this tool when we first got it because of the interface. The calendar view in which you're able to schedule your social posts by dragging and dropping them on your desired dates was very helpful and allowed me to quickly schedule posts for my clients. It's also pretty user friendly in that it's intuitive and it feels like you know where to click and what to do in order to get from A to B when scheduling your social media posts. Cons We ended up moving away from Later for a few reasons. First, we spent so much time resizing and adjusting image sizes to fit the specifications that Later required. It got to the point where we were spending hours doing this and it took away from the time we were able to spend doing impactful work for our clients. Second, some posts had horrible, pixelated image quality that we would have to catch while reviewing already published social posts in order to delete and repost. Lastly, we needed to ability to post to more platforms that Later had integrations with. I'm not sure whether it's been added since we left, but there wasn't a connection with Google My Business at that time. Of course now there is different tiers and features etc etc. There was enough on the platform to get the job done, but other platforms just offered more for less when it got down to it. The Monthly fee trend seems to ruin the overall vibe of these platforms. You're limited in how often and what you can post. Cons Limitations with tier subscriptions. Unless you plan to fork out a lot of money for what you are doing then there are better options out there. Pros I love the easy set up when you sign up for an account and the fact that it saves you so much time scheduling posts for Instagram! The basic account is also FREE which is amazing! Also, they have a great blog full of valuable content! Cons I wish it had a way to integrate with more apps, like google drive, canva or adobe. It would just make it easier to create posts and send them over through some sort of integration. I would also like to be able to post to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest etc. with Later, For now they are just and Instagram platform. And my Team Members have access to the social media admin side, so they can delete or edit anything that is posted while I'm unreachable. Pros I love later because I can schedule social media posts for times of the day when I am not in the office and when I am on vacation. It is easy to upload content to the site, and you can see which items have been used and which haven't. You can schedule multiple posts with the same content for different days. You can schedule posts for a variety of social media programs. Cons Using the free version, you are limited in the number of posts that you can schedule per month. And you can't see the statistics on which posts were viewed the most to know the best time of day to schedule. It is annoying to have to refresh the connections to your social media sites. It provides easy to use tools to store and edit photos, create captions, and calendar future posts.
