My experience with Later is positive in general. I would even recommend this platform to other administrators.

Pros

I really like Later because I can create, schedule and publish content for all my clients' social networks. I can do everything on a single platform. It is easy to import and export data, that makes every task easy. I can organize the whole week or the whole month on the calendar. I don't need to be in the office to access the platform, that gives a lot of freedom. It is easy to integrate social networks. It is possible to schedule multiple posts for different days. The reports are very complete and I can show my clients the results of the campaigns. Also, the hashtags are very good, it doesn't just offer generic hashtags.Technical support is very good, customer service is good in general. If you have any questions or problems, they will solve it. There are multiple prices depending on the needs of your company or project. They also offer a free trial.My experience with Later has been positive, it is a useful and practical platform. There are many tutorials that can help you if you don't know how to configure an option. As a community manager it made my job a lot easier.

Cons

I don't have much to complain about. But the free version has limits. The number of posts you can schedule per month is limited. In addition, there are functions such as statistics that are also limited. The mobile app is not very good.

We've been using later organically for almost two years for both ourselves and clients to publish didn't content across different platforms. Very helpful in terms of mapping out content in advance.

Pros

Later is super user-friendly and it is very easy to schedule organic content out to multiple platforms at one time. The overview also is nice so you can see a birds eye view of where things are at.

Cons

At what point you were able to leave comments - this feature going away felt like a loss. Our QA specialist used to leave comments as edits for our team. Removing this feature made things more manual.

Pros

Later is so easy to use and the visual grid is excellent - it’s also super easy to manage multiple profiles and multiple client social accounts. There are so many features from drafts to analytics to the linkin bio

It’s missing LinkedIn analytics which would make it perfect and I’d love to be able to auto post stories on Instagram but otherwise all good.

We all love later. Unfortunately due to the lack of ability to schedule more advanced post types like reels and the inability to post to google business, we've had to start using a different service (which is not as foundationally good) but does offer those features. All in all however, if you're looking for a solid, reliable, industry standard for social media publishing, this is your software.

Pros

Auto hashtags, basic image editing, the ability to select different times for different channels in one post, the post feed preview feature; and a solid, reliable performance 90% of the time. They also have a decent free plan with basic features and 10 free posts per month.

Cons

The post types you can schedule are ULTRA limited (no reels), the media center is a mess to find your content in, the analytics are limited (but that doesn't really matter) and more often than they should, the connections to social platforms need refreshing (which also doesn't really matter). Also, you can't schedule to all the platforms, google business being left out is especially unfortunate.

I've been using Later for nearly 3 years and it's been a great platform to use. Customer support is good too. Prices are increasing in 2021 (I guess everything is going up in price) so will have to take a look around to see if it's still the best to use. The only platform missing for me is LinkedIn.

Pros

Analytics for Instagram have been extremely useful with hugely detailed pictorial charts covering demographics, optimum posting times, best hashtag use. I also like the drag and drop feature of uploading new images and videos.

Cons

If you forget a channel or select too many, mid-point of writing a post, then you have to start over, which is a tad annoying.

Overall I enjoy using it better than most social media schedulers. It's reliable, it autoposts to IG as long as you have an IG business account. It's super easy to use and sort of has a built in content calendar.

Pros

I like that you can house your unused photos and that it lets you know how many posts you've used a certain photo in. So if I post it to say Pinterest, FB, and Twitter it will say it's been used 3 times. This helps me manage a huge bucket of content. I really enjoy being able to see the whole upcoming week's posts at a glance and move them around easily if needed.

Cons

Sometimes uploading photos glitch out. You are limited by file size so often times I have to go to the internet to edit them using Pixlr etc. Also you can't see further back than a few weeks on the calendar on the free plan. That is tough.

Overall I would recommend later for most small/medium businesses as it is easy to use and most functionalities needed are in place.

Pros

The content scheduler works great and is easy in use. It makes your social media marketing less time consuming. Later has most important social media accounts in house which is a big plus compared to some other competitors. Price is oke

Almost none analytics in the lower tiers. And to expensive to just upgrade for that aspect.

Overall my experience with Later has been positive! It makes planning and scheduling content straightforward and visual, however some features like analytics and multi-account management can feel a bit limited...

Pros

What I like most about Later is how visual and intuitive it is. I can plan my feed, schedule posts easily, and drag and drop content, which makes managing social media so much simpler.

Cons

What I don’t like about Later is that some features (like analytics and hashtag suggestions) they feel limited compared to other tools, and it can be a bit clunky when managing multiple accounts.

Overall, it was good to start out with (much better than Hootsuite), but the issues we ran into created a greater need for a tool that allowed us to be more efficient with our social media scheduling and posting.

Pros

I loved this tool when we first got it because of the interface. The calendar view in which you're able to schedule your social posts by dragging and dropping them on your desired dates was very helpful and allowed me to quickly schedule posts for my clients. It's also pretty user friendly in that it's intuitive and it feels like you know where to click and what to do in order to get from A to B when scheduling your social media posts.

Cons

We ended up moving away from Later for a few reasons. First, we spent so much time resizing and adjusting image sizes to fit the specifications that Later required. It got to the point where we were spending hours doing this and it took away from the time we were able to spend doing impactful work for our clients. Second, some posts had horrible, pixelated image quality that we would have to catch while reviewing already published social posts in order to delete and repost. Lastly, we needed to ability to post to more platforms that Later had integrations with. I'm not sure whether it's been added since we left, but there wasn't a connection with Google My Business at that time.

I'm a big fan of Later just from an ease of use point of view. Whilst it's not as feature-packed as other, more complicated platforms I think if you're a creator or small business with a single set of accounts it's probably one of the best value schedulers on the market.

Pros

I recommend Later to all of my social media clients who don't have a lot of time or money because it makes publishing to Instagram really easy. Add in all of your content, drag it into the time of the week you want it to be published and voila you're done. You can save groups of hashtags there and if you pay for premium Later will help you find good hashtags to use for your content. My personal favourite feature is the grid view for posts. It's also a platform that looks really good which is always a bonus.

Cons

It can get expensive really quickly if you're a social media manager with a lot of clients. It doesn't publish to LinkedIn and its publishing to Twitter and Facebook isn't great, so if you're a business that isn't focussed around Instagram, Pinterest or TikTok then you'll struggle with Later.

Later is a mostly simple way to schedule posts across a variety of platforms. It offers helpful insights to users seeking to increase their social media engagement rates. However, the interface is quite busy and cluttered, and certain posts require a little more time to figure out.

Pros

I like Later's calendar layout, it makes it easy to see where your posts are scheduled, see what you have scheduled when, and editing your posts is relatively simple on Later's interface. I also like the feature that suggests the best time/day to post to get the most engagement, it has been pretty accurate!

Cons

Later's interface is pretty cluttered and a bit overwhelming to navigate on a desktop. I have not tried a mobile version if they offer one. The icons and buttons can be very small and it's not very intuitive if you want to post multiple pieces of media in a single post (such as an Instagram carousel).

Our social media team uses Later to schedule and publish social content to Instagram and Facebook. Later streamlines this process and makes it easy to reference content as it can be accessed in one place. On a higher level, managers can view the schedule and ensure all content is scheduled out as needed.

Pros

Later is an extremely user-friendly social media platform that helps with scheduling and publishing content. The visual scheduling view makes scheduling content easy, and it's helpful to be able to visualize what your Instagram feed will look like with those posts. When working on posts, Later packages image(s) with a caption and link. Everything is ready to go for publishing content. Later is able to assist with all of the social accounts for our multiple brands.

Cons

Later's automated publishing doesn't support Instagram carousel posts or Stories. This makes the work of our team difficult as we always publish content on the weekends. Someone from our team is always on weekend publishing duty to manually post this content.

The linkin.bio feature has become indispensable for my clients. It has even helped me get new clients for and online magazine.

Pros

The feature that I like the most about Later is the linkin.bio, I use it everyday. One of my accounts is a online magazine, so when users want to read the article featured on a post, they can click the link in bio and it will take them directly to the article, this is a very important feature and has helped me get new clients.

Cons

The "post block" dynamic for scheduling is very confusing.

Was quite excited when I saw it recommended as a tool which is easy to use yet offers a lot more functions than e.g. meta business suite or canva. I was however dissappointed as it didn't allow for quite a few things and a lot of the things only work on the higher premium plans, and a lot of glitches. So in the end I didn't really save as much time as I had hoped. If I were to continue with social media managament I would move to a paid plan, which is affordable, as the free plan in the end did not give me much convenience and time-saving over other tools. But they should then definitely integrate Canva for media creation.

easy to use , allows to schedule insta, Facebook AND LinkedIn in one tool. integrated hashtag tool, can save captions for later use.

it's still not a one-in-all solution I was hoping for. Still have do use multyiple tools to manage linkedIn, FB and Insta for one account. No proposed scheduling times for LinkedIn, no canva integration. no proposed scheduling times for linkedIn, scheduled posts repeatedly didn't show up on the calendar, a saved draft is only accessible after a couple of days , an automatic post didn't show the uploaded media when it appeared on linkedIn, the analytics were non-existent/only available for higher paid plans, etc. I was doing my head in to figure out what is going wring, so I didn't really dave time,

​Customer service is terrible. The platform is full of bugs - had to report them every other week. After sending them several emails reporting the bugs, I suggested an improvement to the app (a fix to posting time - every time you edit a future post, the posting time automatically sets to current time which is very annoying because most of the time I want to move it a few days/hours/minutes, but then I forget when I originally scheduled it, so I have to cancel and to check original post time to go back again and edit it - I suggested not to move the time to current time because there's a button to post "NOW" so the time automatically moving to current was very annoying) They just brushed me off and told me to go write that suggestion on a forum and "let the people decide" if it was worth the fix. I mean I already report your bugs every other week, don't ask me to take more of my time to go to a different forum to suggest it. It was a legit improvement. I'm not even going to go and explain the countless of emails I have to send to upgrade my account because apparently, you can only do it the SECOND you are ready not even a day before, but the SECOND you are ready. So, I did so (after already a few emails telling them I would need it in a few days) well, they take a day and a half (I'm still waiting) to upgrade, while I have a deadline tomorrow. But they couldn't upgrade the account when I asked a few days ago.

I like Later, but I just don't "love" it. There's some really good options in the service, but like I mentioned, I was disappointed I couldn't fully auto publish everything on every platform. Trying to keep up with social media is difficult and it seems pretty much no one can make auto publishing for every single post on every platform a reality so we still have to sub contract marketing and media managers on top of paying for the Later service. It's just a merry go round of fees and charges to keep paying for and keep track of for any business.

Pros

I like that Later has a ton of helpful tips and information to help my business stay up to date with trends and changes/updates in social media.

Cons

I can't seem to auto publish evvvvery post on evvvery platform, I would like to be able to auto publish literally everything from stories to reels to permanent posts, and on every platform from the usual Facebook and Instagram to YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok and LinkedIn

Later is by far the most reliable social media scheduler we have ever used. We had it running for years before making a switch to a competing scheduler, but for any organization that is just starting out or has fewer accounts, this is by far the best option out there. From the calendar view to seamless posting on various platforms at the users most active time, make it a valuable investment for anyone who is serious about their social media game.

I have used Later for several different social media clients, all with great results. I even recommended Later for the Communications Team for a local non-profit, and they are using it with ease.

Pros

I love the features Later has implemented in the past 6 months. Every new update addresses an issue I had, or honestly didn't know I had. This is by far my favorite tool for scheduling client's social media.

Cons

I would love to be able to post multiple photos to Instagram instead of having the push notification to publish manually. Other than, I really have no complaints.

NONE, they will scam you at the end with their refund policy, it's when you ask to get a refund that you see the thru value of a company.

Cons

Worst company ever, be carefull with their "refund policy" they will scam you ! This is their policy "In Later, each of our paid plans is set to renew automatically at the end of the billing cycle unless it is cancelled. we consider refunds within the first 7 days of your first invoice" Company that do automatic renewal are scammy, they just hope you will forget about it or not read the fine print where it is writen that it will automaticly renew your membership.

I absolutely love the whole experience of using Later, from start to finish. I've tried other tools and have ended up circling back to Later every single time. Working with Later is seamless from the app on my iPhone to the web interface. It makes it really easy to plan my Instagram feed, and I know I'm not even using it to the absolute max it could be! I feel like I've just scratched the surface and know there's so much more I could be using this tool for. :)

Cons

I find it a lot harder to plan my feed from the app on my phone - it's not quite as intuitive as I feel that it could be. That said, I prefer to do most of the planning from the web interface anyway and use the phone app for reminders to post, and to also add more media to my Later media library.
