I've overall had a positive experience and constantly recommend the platform to other marketing professionals. Pros I like that the platform isn't overly complicated and the features it offers are really dialed in to help with digital marketing and SEO. Cons The platform appears to have some glitches or lack of data, especially when it comes to mobile data. I wish they improved certain aspects of the product and had a more generous entry tier, but all in all it's a good solution. Pros Solid software for both SEO and paid search. I use it for all sorts of things from backlink analysis and discovery to keyword research. Cons Pricing on additional seats have you pay for empty slots, unless you request your team to remove them, so you might have one user but pay for two. Also the usability of the software is not always the best, switching across different modules requires you to re-enter the domain you were analyzing. In general I would pick Ahrefs over Semrush, but Semrush has the advantage of being a bit cheaper, and more people are used to it, so I don't need to train my team on a new tool. I think it's great for most use cases, not a product I'm in love with, but definitely a solid solution. Review Source ST Srujana T. Keyword tracking is a great features that works very good, backlinks monitor helps in managing backlinks and suggest where you need others to more. Is an app packet with the best SEO resources for any website. Cons Is a little costly for a small business. July 22, 2024 3.0 I demoed the tool and advised whether it should be adopted by my team (it was adopted in the end.) I found the tool both thorough and easy to use in terms of competitive intelligence and keyword tracking, but found significant issues with its accuracy in reporting investment figures. It did an inconsistent job of reporting competitive spend data but was more than competent at just about everything else. Pros Excellent at tracking keywords and competitive SEM activity at a high level. If you want to know the when and where of competitors' activity on search and digital SEMrush is easy to recommend. Very easy to use while being thorough at the same time. Cons My only complaint was the poor accuracy of the competitive data. We ran some internal studies and found that the tool, while excellent at tracking keywords and the when and where of competitors' activity on search and digital, its accuracy was all over the place in terms of the actual dollars spent. If you aren't looking for hard $$ of \*how much\* your competitors are investing in search, this is still a good tool in terms of general keyword tracking, site tracking, and high level competitive intelligence. The most important feathers of this is keyword research. From high volume to mid volume keyword, you can relay on this tool. I like it most. Cons I think its free plan is very limited.
