It worked best as a system of record for accomplishments, feedback, and recognition. When used consistently, it made work more visible, encouraged accountability, and supported growth conversations. Like most tools, its effectiveness depended on how intentionally it was used by managers and teams. Pros It was nice having a clear system to regularly share what I was working on and what I had accomplished each week. Posting updates helped me make my work visible and track progress over time, and that directly helped when it came to promotions and performance conversations. I also really liked that Lattice was connected to Slack. Being able to give teammates praise publicly and receive praise in return made recognition feel natural and timely instead of forced or delayed. Cons At times, parts of Lattice felt a bit rigid and process-heavy. Some workflows seemed more about checking a box than having a meaningful conversation, especially if the team was already aligned. I think it is a good way to organize your 1:1 meetings, and keep any feedback made my team members that is visible to both yourself and your manager. It is a really organized way to handed yearly reviews and archive the reviews previously received so you can continue to track your goals and your growth. Pros I like that peer reviews & self reviews are very organized and simple to navigate on this system .We are also able to ask our peers for feedback throughout the year so we can work on improving our team relations. We are also able to fill out a bi-weekly form saying how we are feeling and what we are working on that week so our supervisor knows if they should reach out to check in. Cons A con about Lattice is that it is difficult to attach your calendar on Lattice to your teams calendar. My current job is the first time I've used Lattice and first time I've been introduced to it. Like I mentioned above, I like the prompts it gives you as talking points for your meetings. I also like how it's easy to write notes and comments as your discussing your meeting in real time, so that you can see your notes and your reviewer can also give you feedback. Lattice is good for review meetings and check-ins which is how I primarily use this ap. Pros What I like the most about Lattice is the layout of the website. It has a very clean, easy-to-read setup and makes it easy to maneuver. I use Lattice for my 1-on-1 reviews and check-ins and I enjoy the prompt questions they list out so you have talking points to discuss. Cons My only dislike about Lattice is setting up meetings. Since I am used to using Microsoft Outlook's calendar for all my meeting set-ups, I sometimes get confused when I am unable to link my meeting in Outlook with my meeting in Lattice. The user experience and interface are really easy to follow, and their recent AI phone functionality for review writing and search bar questions is a big time-saver. Cons We integrate Lattice with Rippling (our HRIS), and there are some limitations with custom fields for demographic data that will sync between the two systems. Pros I'm gonna be honest and say that the best feature offered by Lattice by far is the feedback that you can provide and receive. Depending on your team and your own performance, you can end up having a library of impressive feedbacks showing your commitment to your work or to your team. It is a great way of building up morale and also it is easier to get a pay rise when you have literally hundreds of good feedbacks about your work ethics. Cons Lattice tries to do a little bit of everything and sometimes it comes short. For instance, after a review with my manager, the platform try to create a checklist of everything that has been discussed and prepares that for the next week. The tool improves tremendously over time while maintaining the same look and no major learning curve with each "version" released. I'm also lucky to benefit from the Resources For Humans website and Slack channel they've created for HR professionals. I'm able to see reviews for things outside of Lattice like HRIS, ATS, and other opinions we look for. Having ~20k HR professionals at your fingertips even for non-Lattice users is so rare. The investment into HR resources really sets Lattice apart and shows they care about their customers (and non-customers too)! Lattice has worked hard to be a leader in HR tooling and it shows. As we demoed competitors, we continuously returned to Lattice as our preferred tool. We were eager to sign and begin our journey. We're now a year in and thriving with it. Pros I like the ease of use of Lattice and the UI/UX. I feel like it's a product everyone can easily navigate and learn. We can see more insights into how our team feels, performs, and functions. It's been a great tool for us. Our marketing team has stated that Lattice is a brand they look to as a leader in overall branding strategy, the look of the tool, and subsequent marketing collateral. Cons I don't think I like anything "least" but there's always room for improvement and new features. I think at times the product roadmap leans heavily into areas we aren't currently using or that fit us. That's the only small con I can call out, it's pretty smooth sailing. When there is a release on tools we're using, it's usually so beneficial and is exciting. We found ourselves comparing all other tools vs Lattice and Lattice continued to be our front-runner.
