### "Straightforward SMS marketing"

September 8, 2025

4.0

Does what you need on the base level. Helpful for businesses but complex funnels are a little trickier.

Pros

Extremely easy to set up. Campaigns are easy to do and in compliance with SMS regulations. Bulk messaging, scheduling texts, auto responders and keyword opt ins are super easy.

Cons

Pricing gets way more expensive as your contact list grows. The analytics are basic and don't give very good insights.

Best for: Real estate agents who want an easy-to-use SMS tool for lead follow-ups, open house alerts, and listing promotions. Not ideal for: Those who need a full CRM or email marketing suite.

Pros

Easy-to-Use Interface and Mass Texting ability

Cons

Pricing is based on the number of texts sent, which may get expensive for large campaigns.

### "Please consider other options"

March 31, 2023

1.0

My most recent experience has been terrible. Customer service has not answered my questions or provided me sufficient alternatives. They do not listen to me as a customer nor want to help solve my issues.

Pros

When I initially started using Textedly, it served my purpose. I can schedule text messages and receive messages back. This is what I was looking for.

Cons

I have used Textedly for several years. But recently, their commitment to customers and customer service has dramatically declined. They made recent updates to their platform and dramatically increased prices without contacting existing customers. The price of my existing plan increased a significant amount. I have requested that the messages I have purchased be made available to my business and they will not release them until a certain date. When I contacted customer support and ask for resolution, the staff do not answer my questions or offer alternative solutions. I have requested that my account be closed and a refund of the 11 months that I have not used. They will not work with me and only offer that I pay for a higher priced plan or purchase additional messages at a very, very high rate. Please do not use this company. They are no longer considering the needs of customers that have been with them for several years.

### "It's the one I chose for a reason "

December 5, 2019

4.0

Quite good. They were very helpful early on. Since then, it's been an easy platform to use.

Pros

The customer support was great during my research. They promptly answered my questions, even anticipating future considerations.

Cons

There's really not much I don't like. I suppose the layout of the platform itself could be a little better, but that's just personal preference.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Textedly

The customer support answered all of my questions quickly.

Textedley provides a great product to be able to quickly mass communicate with a large number of individuals.

Cons

Some aspects of Textedley's platform like their "key word" functionality can be frustrating and limited.

### "Giving 2 stars for lack of flexibility for customers. "

April 23, 2022

2.0

Good price for messages, but not good service for companies who sending SMS to new monthly, fresh and updated lists of customers.

Pros

I like the price for the service and i\`m impressed with a delivery rate. Good job!

Cons

\-Problem is you need to pay for keywords that you are not going to use in the next month. For example: I have a fresh list of customers every month and i need to create new keywords with new lists attached to them, but.....as per Textedly advise if "i remove a subscriber from a keyword, there is no way to resubscribe them on your end, even if you create a new keyword" and "We do not recommend deleting your keyword as it will delete all of your message data. It is best to keep your data in the event you are involved in a Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) legal matter. Penalties are $500 to $1,500 for each text message violation that you sent". So, why customer needs to pay for keywords he will never use in the future?. -Another difficulty for me was a lack of simplicity of platform usage and i need to communicate with a customer service and wait for the answer in order to solve technical issues or receive answers on my questions which i couldn\`t find in QA section of Textedly.

Switched from

[EZ Texting](https://www.capterra.com/p/145848/Ez-Texting/)

Because of delivery rate of EZ Texting lowered to 50% and i had almost every time 50% bounced messages. Very sad-it was my favorite platform and i\`ve been in EZ Texting for a long time.

### "Regret Using"

August 16, 2022

3.0

Pros

The interface looks good. It's fairly easy to use.

Cons

I signed up for an Annual plan, but I did not realize text messages do not roll over to the next month. So it's use it or lose it. I thought that I'd just build up more messages for when I need them. I only need to send out text messages a few times a year, so it's not a good value for me. I wish that important point was made more clear before I switched from Mozeo. I was just looking at the cost per text, and for Textedly it was really low. Also, I don't appreciate that you can't change a Keyword. Once you use a Keyword, you have to keep it active (even if you aren't using it) and buy additional Keywords from Textedly. So now I have a plan that I'm over paying for, and I have to spend more money for additional keywords. There is also a $6 a month fee that goes to the FCC. Didn't know about that. There is no support phone to call. You have to message them. They may see your message right away, but maybe not. When you are in the middle of a task and you can't do something, like delete a Keyword, or change your company name, it really sucks to have to message them and stop what you're doing and just wait.

### "Poor support model"

May 5, 2020

2.0

Pros

You get alot of text messages in each bundle. It is a cost effective solution for a small organization like ours.

Cons

Horrible customer service. Not only did we have a problem with double billing. It is virtually impossible to cancel the service. You can never talk to anyone you are limited to the chat or email only for support. There have been instances when none of my text messages reached my subscribers for unknown reasons or there were significant delays in scheduled texts. My new service is far superior and even offers an app. While it cost a little more. The trade-off is excellent customer support.

Alternatives considered

[SlickText](https://www.capterra.com/p/155430/SlickText-com/)

Reason for choosing Textedly

The user interface was far better and they offered roll-over text. So on the months of lower usage, we can roll over any unused texts to the next month.

### "Fantastic tool for the value!"

September 6, 2018

5.0

I can use Textedly to communicate quickly and effectively with my customer base. The texts are read at a superior rate compared to email or social media notifications.

Pros

I've used other text messaging services in the past and Textedly is by far the best. The pricing is excellent and the features of the tool is effective for my needs. I highly recommend Textedly to any small or big business looking to communicate with customers.

Cons

I don't have a con at this time to discuss.

### "One of the best sms texting and marketing services"

February 13, 2019

5.0

We’ve had an excellent experience with textedly and have come to trust them over the years we’ve used them for our important group communications.

Pros

I love how reliable and easy to use Textedly’s web dashboard is. Things are well though out and easy to find. The feature set has everything we need including the ability to bulk import, schedule messages, and even attach photos. It doesn’t require any of our end users to instal anything like WhatsApp and requires no special training for those receiving messages. We use it for group messaging large numbers of volunteers. The pricing is super fair and the customer service is excellent. I’ve compared textedly with a lot of other services in its range and by far I prefer and trust it for needs.

Cons

In order to bulk import textedly has to approve your account and it’s best you sign up with a domain email if you want to import via csv a list of contacts. However they do this in order to reduce the likelihood of getting their short code flagged as spam and this helps to ensure the reliability of sms messages getting delivered reliably. So in truth this is a positive thing. Just requires some manual verification to get approved for it. But customer service is fast to get it done. I’d suggest that maybe they could have someone available via email on the weekends who could enable this feature in case a user signs up late in the week and needs to enable the feature asap. But not a huge deal.

### "Unusable, Even After Paying $456"

January 15, 2024

1.0

After researching many bulk texting services, Textedly appeared to be the best fit and value for our company to send a text "blasts" to all 60 employees at one time. I signed up, chose the "bronze" plan, paid for an annual subscription, verified my identity by both text and email, and was excited to get started. I went to add contacts, but found bulk upload was not authorized without approval from Textedly. I sent the request via the AI chat bot as directed and got no reply. I then decided to manually enter my 60 employees' info. After 10 contacts I was halted by a "maximum 10 manual entries allowed" message. I had to search on-line to find a support phone number, and when I called I was basically told at some point they would get around to approving my access to bulk upload contacts. It's irritating because had I known the service was going to be useless until whenever they decide to approve my access, I would have chosen a competitor. I have time today to spend on this, but probably will not tomorrow or following days.

Pros

It's unusable at this point, so no way to know.

Cons

Even after paying for an annual subscription, it's impossible to use. There is an approval process that takes an unspecified length of time before you can bulk upload contacts and can only manually add ten contacts.

### "All in one place..."

September 7, 2023

5.0

I'm trying to solve the problem of texting customers without seeming spammy. Sometimes people think it's spammy, sometimes they don't. If more people knew about the service I think I would get less declines/opt outs from customers.

Pros

The benefit of textedly is that everything you need to text customers is in one place, and that they also provide a cell phone number (essentially a virtual number) so that you're not texting from your own phone.

Cons

They have a free trial function but you can only text yourself. It's okay to not have a free trial, but it seems a little bat and switch-ish.

### "Textedly is incredibly helpful in my industry."

February 10, 2023

5.0

One of Textedly's best features is its affordability, which is ideal for small businesses looking for an inexpensive marketing strategy. The customer support/client success manager! She's incredibly helpful and amiable. We love how practical a marketing tool it is that also has a good UI and is simple to use. We appreciate how straightforward this solution is and how simple it is to communicate with multiple clients with a single message. It's incredibly helpful!!

Pros

Its ability to mass text to multiple clients is one of my favorites cause most CRMs don't do that so it's really helpful to have a third-party platform that can do that.

Cons

None so far. But probably the feature that we would want to have is to ability to create a smartlist and be able to group the contacts accordingly. Although tags do that too, but smartlist can be great as well.

### "Growth Pains"

March 28, 2019

2.0

Pros

Ease of use simple to keep subscribers apprised but technical foundation of the platform and accompanying customer support is suspect

Cons

Upon contacting customer support to discuss why messages were stuck in the quu and not being delivered , the company proesse there were no technical issues on their side. After requesting a constructive escalating I was told I that due to issue severity that by rule I would be contacted within the hour ( BTW asked for a method to contact a tech support manager directly and I was refused). It is now 1 hr and 40 min later and the support magt did not reach out because they were overwhelmed by other delivery escalations - meaning there actually was in fact a a platform issue that was being swept under the rug. As a long time customer support professional and a platform user I find this deplorable.

### "Textedly has an easy to use format, friendly tools, and incredible support GREAT for you too..."

July 31, 2018

5.0

Daily, weekly monthly updates. KEEP up the great job!

Pros

The fast and easy to use web interface makes short work of sending 100's of text messages. Managing the users is simple, quick, and intuitive. Each text can be unique or use the self created auto messages to send quick to the point instructions. We have used Textedly to announce our down systems, system maintenance, special HR programs events, and those time pertinent reminders. With no minimum to use and no max, you pay for what you need and what you use. Change plans when ever and how often you need. Simply put there is not a more reliable and more friendly tool on the market to send SMS messages, freeing you up to focus on the more important things like your product, people or customers. We have only had to use Support one time, the response time was super fast, the agent was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The actual issue had nothing to do with Textedly, it was a CO issue, but I still got updates and information as the issue progressed and was resolved.

Cons

Nobody is perfect, and no company is perfect, but I honestly do not have anything to list as a con for Textedly.

### "Great for churches! The possibilities are endless!"

August 21, 2018

5.0

This is opening up new possibilities for our church. People are better able to access information and we can communicate more effectively with Textedly. There are many opportunities we haven't even explored yet utilizing this new way of communicating.

Pros

The ability to reach people in the fastest easiest way. EVERYBODY at least glances at a text message if not read it completely. You can't say that about voicemails, emails, physical mail, etc...

Cons

The software itself is awesome. Took a little while to figure out how to use it. There were not useful videos or articles to help me with what I wanted. I use Textedly for two purposes. 1. For ongoing communication. People subscribe to a keyword (an all church keyword, or youth ministry keyword) and I can periodically send messages to inform, advertise, or communicate information. 2. I use a keyword for single use, or special uses. (To register for an event online, they text the keyword to get a link to online registration. Or to interact with the Sunday sermon, text a keyword to get a link to an article referenced, or for a survey, or poll.) There were no articles that explained I needed to delete subscribers if I wanted them to receive the automated predetermined message again. If they aren't removed and they text the same keyword again, they get a message saying they are already subscribed rather than getting the message I made. Also, you CAN change an existing keyword to a different keyword (the help articles don't say this). But you have to delete everyone that has subscribed to that first keyword before you can change it.

### "Text message marketing tool at its best"

November 27, 2019

4.0

We are using this tool mainly for SMS marketing services. This tool have worked really well for us.

Pros

Pay only for what you send, incoming is always free. I see this is one of the really good feature as my customers can send how much messages to me. Seamless integration with Slack Customer support is really good.

Cons

It would be really nice if textedly had more 3rd party integrations. I am actually looking for Google Apps Integration.

### "Customer support is nonexistent"

November 26, 2019

3.0

Read above.... would love for someone to get back to me.

Pros

While the software was overall fine (had a few setbacks and inefficiencies), I reached out to their customer support team over 3 weeks ago via their chat, email and calling and no one has gotten back to me. I work in a customer-service industry and know how important it is to take care of your customers. With so many software options out there, what sets companies apart is their customer service, which was shockingly disappointing from Textedly.

### "The functionality of Textedly makes it one of the best programs on the market. Textedly is #1!"

March 20, 2018

5.0

With Textedly, I'm able to login, setup a text message distribution literally within five minutes. It's amazing how easy Textedly is to learn and executive. Great product!

Pros

Besides the fact that Textedly is an awesome tool, the one thing that I like most about Textedly is that I get to keep my unused text messages. Some months we're heavy users than the next month may not be as busy. The rollover text messages helps our organization in times when we are using more messages. I absolutely love the idea of sending photos and URL's with the text message. Sometimes the photo will grab a person's attention before the actual text. Overall, Textedly is an awesome product for the price. It may not be as fancy as some its competitors but Textedly gets RESULTS! And, that's what matters to use the most.

Cons

I would like to have more KEYWORDS. Perhaps, Textedly could offer a subscription for KEYWORDS. For example, purchase 10 keywords for X number of dollars. Although the option to purchase keywords is already available, I think having a option with a subscription fee would be an improvement.

### "The proof is in the process"

May 25, 2022

3.0

I was searching for texting platform that would allow my client to message their list. I read (some of) the documentation and chatted with support and it seemed like it was a viable option. They were offering bonus credits and before the deadline I opted in for the annual subscription. Took a few weeks to get started but within an hour of set-up and a couple of chat sessions, I was told I could NOT give contacts an option to select message categories. It was something I had to manage on my end. With 15K in our Constant Contact list, this was not viable. So, I requested a refund of the remaining 11 months (I was willing to forfeit the first month at the monthly rate). They said NO. After some "why not" questions, the CHAT rep charged $26 on my card (without my permission) so she could switch the account to monthly and then cancel the annual subscription. They credited me the annual less about $50. When I asked for a refund of the $26 I was pretty bluntly told that they did me the courtesy of the first refund and another refund was "not going to happen". I sent an email the next day outlining the above and was surprised to receive a refund within 5 minutes. Huh... So the software didn't do what I needed (that's OK, I found another solution) but the customer service experience really turned me off. Since I got the refund I requested in the first place, the bad experience came from all the interactions afterwards.

Pros

On the surface, it seems liked a viable option. Integration with Constant Contact.

Cons

Inability for a customer to self-segment (select the topics they wished to receive messages about)

Reason for choosing Textedly

Didn't research (or test) enough before purchase.

### "Worst customer service ever"

May 23, 2022

1.0

Terrible, Just terrible.

Pros

Nothing There is absolutely nothing good about using this companies platform. Stay away

Cons

Company has the worst customer service. I have tried to cancel on multiple occasions but they NEVER get back with the customer. I have tried to cancel but since my account was on an annual contract, could not do it through the website. Spoke with multiple people over chat since their phone service is terrible, and been told that "someone" will reach out to you regarding this issue. I hardly receive replies on the chat site on the web page, and they ignore your requests. Do not use this service unless you want some major stress in your life. Terrible company.

### "It has been very good. User friendly, cost effective, great features for simplistic usage"

July 10, 2018

5.0

Increased ability to communicate more effectively with my leaders, teams, and members. Great tool for getting information out efficiently, quickly, and people don't feel spammed.

Pros

I love that I can schedule a group text message to be sent out ahead of time. It is super helpful administratively for me to accomplish this task earlier in the week whereas with other free texting services you have to hit the send button exactly when you want it sent - the send later option is amazing and worth every penny! Super affordable as well too.

Cons

Uploading the contacts can be a little difficult at times - chimp mail is a little bit more interactive and helpful to upload contacts/emails whereas Textedly format of their CSV doc needs to be exact or will reject uploading contacts; however, once you have it formatted properly it works amazingly!
