Pros L'analyse automatique de la structure de la page qui permet d'obtenir plusieurs propositions d'extractions en un seul clic. Les nombreuses possibilités d'export automatique et notamment vers mySQL. Les mises à jour régulières avec, à chaque fois, de nouvelles fonctionnalités. Cons Pas grand chose. Octoparse est en constante évolution et répond à mes besoins. Quelques fonctionnalités me manquent mais je suis certain qu'elles seront développées dans un futur proche, comme par exemple la possibilité de récupérer une source CSV contenant des urls ou des ids et d'autres champs et de les récupérer dans le fichier de sortie. Even though I'm quite experienced in Python, I don't ever use it for building web scraping tool. Octoparse truly a game changer because you don't need to write lines of code to solve a web scraping problem. Instead, the tool will do it for you from start until the end. I tried the tool to scrape Google Map reviews from scratch, and the tool is able to retrieve the specific elements like the review rating, text, and coordinates easier thanks to its AI feature. Also, because there's no code involved, all you need to do is to click and drag the desired element for your needs. Pros What I like about the Octoparse is you don't need to code to build the scraping flow. Octoparse would do everything from start until the end. Thanks to its AI technology, you even don't need to select elements that you want to retrieve. The tool would do everything with just few clicks from you! Cons Probably the AI sometimes not able to retrieve the desired element. But that's not problem because Octoparse has a huge resource to solve problems you have with the tools. September 25, 2024 5.0 Overall great, sometimes there are some limitations to the whole parsing thing, but they are always trying to add ways to make it easier. Pros I like how responsive and intuitive (to me at least) the tool is overall. Can't do much about the websites themselves but the tool itself when everything is aligned is excellent and does the job consistently and accurately. All this without needing much more than installing one app and not having to do many things and libraries and code. The support is always available and helpful too, which is a major plus. Cons There are some features that are still missing, like maybe a "production-chain" type where a task finishing triggers another task using that data, but I guess they are planning on adding many more features in the future. Pros I appreciate how easy the application is to get basic scraping, but the standout is the support staff. They will help you or even just fix it themselves. I recently had a job need changes. I was out of the country and did not have a reliable internet connection. A quick email to support and less than a day later, I was back getting data. Cons Octoparse includes many default templates, but they are "black boxes". I would really like to be able to open them and see how they are working. It would to better understand how to make my own scripts work better. The directions are straight forward. It's been a game changer for me. I have been able import data from web to a spreadsheet in minutes, and that has decreased the manual work I had to do when retrieving data. We'd also love more detailed tutorials on how to customize our own templates. Cons It's can be extremely difficult to configure correctly. This may just be the nature of the beast, but for some sites it's definitely a task to get the right configuration set up.
