I appreciated not having to fumble with the written guide schedule my meeting and session management. I also found it particularly helpful when looking for a vendor and being able to click on their booth space and having the map show their location. Pros As an attendee, Whova was very user friendly and I was able to tailor make my agenda from the overall agenda. The event management was so helpful. It made my scheduling of speaker sessions I wanted to see and meet up meetings very efficient. Cons I had a little bit of learning curve but not much. After I clicked on all of the options and looked at them things got a lot easier. Also, not everyone was using this tool as it was new. I was able to connect with other attendees, RSVP to meet-ups I was interested in attending and also connect with those who were staying at the same hotel. I also really liked that there was a place in our event area to find all the pre-orders for the authors attending and the official bookseller for the event. There were so many ways to keep in touch through the app and I hope more of the book conferences I attend decide to use it. It was a smooth and painless process to navigate. I highly recommend. Pros I liked the ease of the app and the ability to connect with other attendees both before, during and after the event. Everything for my event was contained in my event details: seating chart, books for sale from the official bookseller, pre-orders from the authors, the ticketed authors and their numbers during the event, photos we wanted to share (pre-event, during and after the event), polls, listing of the authors/narrators attending and the community feature where we could connect and set up meet-ups. Cons It took me a little bit of time to find my QR code for the event. It was a training issue for me. I should have realized that the QR code wasn't event specific, but person specific and found in my profile. Review Source Resthy P. It provides a good experience and make the events more organized and helps the participants updated to announcements. Pros Great connection with the participants of the conference. It shows the trade, meet ups and well organized. It's best known for the agenda planning , allowing participants to brows session in advanced made me amazed. I could get lost in conversations without fear of being late because my calendar would alert me to go to the next class when it was time. Cons Honestly, I did not explore the entire app. It's a lot of information. They went the extra mile when I had questions and were conversational which was refreshing. Cons I had no interest in the Vendor sessions, because I had no authority / voice to purchase anything. " May 28, 2025 5.0 Simple, effective with good communication capability with the attendees. I loved the Hi and Message area where I could have 2 attempts are reaching out - one simple the other more targeted to my "Why" - got a lot of responses yay! Pros Love it! Its THE most usable app I have used during a 15 year event attendance as a vendor. Like having another pair of hands to help rather than the normal apps where you have lots of work to do outwith - Whova does it all - 2 areas for intro - one simple Hi to intro with a message to push a broader view of what you offer. IT'S HELPFUL TO HAVE EVERYTHING RIGHT IN ONE PLACE. I LOVE THE ABILITY TO MESSAGE OTHERS ATTENDING. Pros I LIKE HAVING THE SCHEDULE/AGENDA IN THE FORMAT IT'S IN WHERE I CAN SEE THE ENTIRE THING, BUT THEN ALSO SEE THE SPECIFIC SESSIONS I SELECTED AND HAVE MY OWN SCHEDULE AS WELL. Cons HONESTLY, THE ONLY THING THAT IS KIND OF ANNOYING IS THE AT THE BOTTOM WHERE IT HAS THE COMMUNITY BUBBLES AND IT KEEPS ALL OF THOSE WITH NOTIFICATIONS. I think it is very inovative and creative. I was pleasantly surprized by the idea and thought it was a great communication tool to stay in board with what was happening as it was happening. Having such a big relief to just know where you going by looking at your phone. I love the ease of navigating the app and website Pros It is a simple platform which is great. Who wants or needs a complicated expereince right? I also loved how you could create your agenda based on interest and topic. Another great aspect is the ability to interact with other conference goers. The chance to create questions and engage others is a cool idea! Cons I dont think there is anything I dislike about it. Pros I liked that Whova was easy to access and easy to use. I liked that Whova provided up-to-date information. I also liked the ability to view the other participants who were attending the conference. Cons I had no least likes about Whova. Whova has been a great service for the last three District Court Conferences that I have attended. I find it super-useful for intentional networking, setting up Meet-Ups ahead of time and exchanging information since many people no longer travel with business cards. Pros Allowed me to connect with people ahead of the conference, set-up a focused Meet-Up and follow-up with people I met in passing. Cons I would like to be able to sort by type of attendee (corporate) and also ignore meet-ups I'm not interested in attending so I can keep up with the ones I am interested in following. The follow feature does not eliminate the notifications. The LinkedIn connection did not work so well for me -- it kept directing me to update my LinkedIn app, which was fully up-to-date. Loved that I did not have to have a packet to carry around all day and keep track of. It was easy to download to my outlook calendar which helped my office know when I was available, if needed. Pros I was able to actively work my vendor booth and participate in the conference. It was easy to save my agenda. But what I liked most was the conference was recorded and I was able to go back on the platforms that I needed the most. Cons App was a little hard to down load at first. Once down loaded it was easy to use and very beneficial in keeping track of my agenda. Loved that it was recorded and could go back and watch the presenter of choice on my own time. It covers everything you need in terms of information at large events. Pros The application is very clear and intuitive. If the event organizer is capable, the user has all the information they need and program updates are quick. Cons Point system - competition - people come up with too many topics unnecessarily and the application becomes overloaded unnecessarily.
