March 2, 2026 5.0 I am able to instantly push product data and to Shopify and our WMS has saved me hours in time and also virtually eliminates inconsistancies in the data between systems. I am able to create Brand Portals in seconds which can be shared with the wider business without compromising on protected data - they only see what I want them to see. Pros Plytix has a familiar, spreadsheet-like interface and being able to instantly push product data and to Shopify and our WMS has saved me hours in time and also virtually eliminates inconsistancies in the data between systems. We have had terrific customer support from the team who have been ready and able to help us whenever needed. I use this tool every day and it's been so easy from the get-go. When we implemented, I was only the data custodian, however as the team has changed I've also been looking after the techical side which has been very easy to learn and integrate with our existing systems. Cons There are not enough checks and balances for my liking. I'd like to be able to make some fields mandetory for upload. Now Plytix is the 'point of truth' for our website, ERP and CRM systems. Plytix was a great solution to help us manage our products and ultimately provide the knowledge and information that our customers have requested from us. Pros The layout and ease of use - everything just makes sense. I find this platform to be very intuitive, and whenever I was stumped, I would check the Help Center for guidance. Cons Implementing a new system forced us to really look at the integrity of our data - it was a challenge to gather and sort and check our product information. The one area that I wish had a bit more depth was the structure - we have products that come in different sizes, materials and colours and had to choose which was the dominant field when establishing the relationships between products. But it's not a big deal - the Plytix team was able to advise how best to make that happen. I have to call out the support and the very good responsiveness from the Plytix team. The solution is evolving all the team with improvements and new features. Pros Having worked with numerous PIM and DAM solutions, I appreciate the User Interface of the platform as well as the ease of usability and configuration of the platform. Cons Some features are still in the roadmap which I have seen in other solutions, however, the Plytix team are very proactive in adding features to the roadmap and taking on board customer feedback. Managing Director Information Technology and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Amazing Value for the Price" March 2, 2021 5.0 The ability to add thousands of products onto a website quickly Pros It allows us to use a PIM without having to pay tens of thousands of pounds a year and get all of the benefits associated with scaling up the business. It was very easy to set up and we had our first connection with our website within a few days. Cons There are many little features that could be improved but the main one is the inability to change imported values in a spread sheet (such as appending text to a column) and all work must be done in the spread sheet first. They have computed attributes for their exports, but would be good to have something similar for their imports too. We’re very happy with it and honestly, we can’t imagine running our business without it anymore. Pros Plytix has significantly improved our workflow thanks to its flexibility and speed of development. It's extremely user-friendly, making it easy to find and manage our data. One major advantage is the cost—it’s more affordable than its main competitors, offering great value. Uploading and managing assets like product images is seamless. We can easily link files without having to upload them multiple times, which saves us a lot of time and effort. Each team can define their own completeness criteria for filling in product data, which is incredibly helpful. It ensures that everyone focuses on what matters most to their responsibilities, while still maintaining consistency across the board. Most importantly, Plytix has become our single source of truth for product information—something we never had in the past. This centralized, reliable access to data has made a real difference in how we operate. Cons That said, we see room for improvement. A direct integration with Microsoft Business Central would be highly valuable, enabling us to sync data between our PIM and ERP systems more efficiently. Pros What I liked most was how easy Plytix is to navigate and use. This simplicity is a huge plus for our team's collaboration and helps us manage our data much more effectively. Cons The biggest challenge for us involves image uploads. We handle a high volume of images, and they all need uniform filenames. Our contact at Plytix, \[sensitive content hidden\], has a great workaround for renaming set up for our company, but I hope to see a more automated solution for this in the future. Many of the products have lots of variants. When we first tried to open our Shopify store, getting all those products live, complete, and updated, was impossible. Plytix has made product management systematic. Pros I tried a few PIMs before we settled on Plytix. Plytix Just Works. Integration with Shopify, our most important platform, is complete and bug-free. Also, support is fast, and the support folks really know their stuff. Cons I haven't learned how to use Plytix Asset manager. We use it, but I'm sure we could use it better. Reason for choosing Plytix Plytix worked. Other products I tried didn't. Plytix provides great customer support, and many, many great videos explaining how to use the features. Pros The value of their product and services is absolutely the best! Plytix is the first PIM database we have purchased but before, we tried all the top PIM solutions in the market and we could not meet their prices. The Plytix gave us the best offer for implementing the PIM system. Once we went through the onboard process which was a breeze thanks to their support group, there was some learning curve of about one week to get things rolling. Once understanding the way Plytix operates, it was very easy to use. We took about two weeks of tweaking the data columns as how we wanted it and from then on, it's been well used. We work with close to 2,000 skus. We have uploaded all the data we can imagine onto Plytix. And exporting the data was very easy too but it would require some setting up and tweaking involved. We are using plytix to upload our product database, images, files, and custom prices for customers that established a unique pricing structure. Plytix also has catalog feature which can export certain products or all the products as a pdf. This can be used for catalog or individual tech sheets. It is still in need of updating some of this feature. They are constantly working on improving the programs and features which is why we will stay with them long term. We are most satisfied with their products and services. Cons Cons about the Plytix is when creating an export job, we had to add each data column one by one instead of "add all data columns". The exporting requires choosing which data columns to export. The PDF catalog feature is limited as we cannot choose the size of the product image. Cannot generate a PDF price list with small thumbnail image of the product because it will usually show one item per one page. Once an attribute is created, it cannot change type. If an attribute is number type, you cannot change to text type after it's been created. You will have to find alternate way. By duplicating, recreating attribute with new type, and then deleting old attribute. There is no "undo last import". It would be great feature to have. When browsing all products, the thumbnail view of images are too small. When selecting what items to put in the catalog, you can select the entire page but the page is limited to 100 items. So there are 2,000 sku, you have to flip through 200 pages and make selections per page instead of selecting by filter, or have select all and then unchecking items not to show. We run mulitple websites and supply feeds for numerous resellers. We constantly found updating information painful with everything disconnected. Pros The one thing about Plytix Index I like is the Ease of use of the software - unlike alot of other PIM's I dont have to be a programmer to get it to work, Its quick and efficient and will form the base of our continuing development for our e-commerce business. The support guys are amazing and will do almost anything to help. Cons Unfortunatley I have personally tried to run before I can walk, I want the features of a $30000 p/year PIM for Almost free and the cost per SKU can work out expensive if you have a lot of products like us - The developers are continuing to work on new features which in time will make Pytix Index something to be rivaled. Pros Plytix is very user friendly -- and the support they offer is fantastic. We opted to pay for 10 hours of onboarding support as part of our package and found it has greatly accelerated our onboarding process. Our set up team is very happy with the support they are receiving and the knowledge they are gaining. Cons At this point, the software has met or exceeded our expectations.
