It helped streamline patching compliance and gave us much-needed visibility into device health. The platform’s flexibility and automation capabilities were especially helpful during remote work when devices were off the corporate network. Support was responsive and product updates were frequent and useful. Pros Automox made patch management and endpoint configuration across a hybrid environment much more efficient. The cloud-native platform was easy to deploy and significantly reduced manual overhead. We were able to automate Windows patching, enforce security baselines, and even push scripts to remote laptops without relying on VPN. The UI was clean, intuitive, and responsive. The automation and policy scheduling options were extremely useful in an enterprise environment. Cons The scripting console could be more robust when managing large fleets—some logging and error output formatting could be improved for easier debugging. Cons Being a cloud native SAAS solution, Automox does not have the capability to provide a viable solution for patch management in on-premise devices which are not exposed to internet. Very simple to use and understand. Support is top notch and quick to respond. Makes vulnerability patching and risk assessment attainable to even tech level employees. I love being able to be away from the office and know that anyone on my team can spend just a few minutes to figure out all the data and info needed to complete tasks. Cons I think the worklet catalog could be larger. Also the remote desktop feature could be more robust with features to make it a true selling point. It has made patching our Windows environment much more reliable. Not only this, but we can push out software and scripts to computers with a high speed. We can schedule a deployment or push it on demand within seconds or minutes. Pros Automox is very easy to setup and work with. It is easy to set up groups, add devices to groups, and set up policies to patch your devices. Before Automox, I didn't have any experience with Patch Management software, but I was able to quickly jump into Automox and start creating policies to meet our needs. Automox's support is helpful and gets back to you very quickly. I've had to reach out to support a few times over the past year and they've been helpful. Also, they have a community that the developers and employees frequently monitor where you can ask questions and engage with other Automox users. Cons Automox has some limitations. Unfortunately, some output is limited. For example, when a computer is in process of updating you won't always see the exact percentage or updates it is currently working on. This can cause some confusion and can make it harder to see if theres a certain update getting stuck. I also would love to see a way to stop any sent instructions to an endpoint from our end. If I send a script that seems to error out or glitch out during testing, there is a chance that the device's status may get stuck in the "Pending Update" status until the next day when Automox automatically flushes it out. In Summary, Some of Automox's output or status visibility could be improved. The ability to stop a scan or script from finishing would also be ideal if possible. Review Source RN Rajesh N. We have a dedicated sales rep that is very attentive and always checks in with us. Deployment was a breeze and setup for machines was also a breeze. Auto install and deployment for large networks makes it so simple to use. Pros The ability to patch all PCs and servers in your fleet with ease of mind that it is all handled. The other major upside is the remote connection system that allows you to remote connect to machines. Cons Occasionally it is down for some reason or another since deploying our automox system we have have I think about 4 instances where it has been down in a matter of a 1 year period so honestly not bad at all. Also, i can export most of the activities as a CSV activity logs, devices list etc Cons There is no abort or stop button to forcefully stop a policy when run accidentally. It has a script catalog which has helped in creating policies and have 100+ scripts created. I am a apprentice learning this as I go but having even the remote option in case someone needs help working from home is so helpful. Cons We cannot see the install progress in the console, The status shown on device page just shows installing and we cannot see how much the installation has completed or its just stuck. I highly recommend this to people in IT. Pros I like how easy it is to manage all of the computers we have in the office all in one place. It makes it easy to keep track of updates or software that needs to be pushed out for end users.
