I like ver much that we can build the forms from scratch without coding knowledge. It’s easy to use even for someone without experience. Cons AQEM still is very limited in functionality and features, which is almost impossible to build the forms/workflows that work for my company. I was handed a system that was in use for 2 years without a sysadmin as well. The software was very intuitive and easy for me to grasp immediately with minimal training. Pros It consolidates all of our companies information into one location and everything is neatly tied together. Cons The fact that the use of most symbols can cause unwanted defects. Pros User friendly system with easy tracking features regarding different processes used in our industry. Cons There is nothing i could complain about the system. Pros It is set up to facilitate the quality process for you. If team members go into the program (or click on a link from their email) and complete the tasks, the system takes care of itself. Cons It is built for the most robust quality system. For some industries/customers that may be too much, but they are addressing it now through their new "lite" forms. Cons There is a pretty solid initial learning curve. This is the first eQMS I have used so it is taking some time for it to be automatic. I am able to open and closed a quality event with full audit trail and traceability seamlessly. Pros I like the seamless integration of core quality processes like NCRs, OOTs, MOCs. We are able to follow through on a Quality Event from beginning to end with this product. Cons What I like the least is the rigidity of the product. As I get more experience, I get more out of the suite of products. And with more use of the products my job tasks get easier and more organized. My team is reaping the benefit of this experience in that their jobs are streamlining and the workload feels lighter. Pros The documents module is the best piece of the suite. It allows you to create any kind of document needed from your work environment. The workflows are customizable to your type of work. I don't work in a pharmaceutical regulated area but I can create the quality management system that works for me with this product. Cons The Jreports portion of this product does not live up to the expectations and performance level of the rest of the suite. The reports are clunky and difficult to create and personalize. Alternatives considered [TrackWise](https://www.capterra.com/p/39788/TrackWise/) Reason for choosing MasterControl Quality Excellence Mainly because our sister company had used it and recommended it. There are several avenues to get helpful when issues arise Pros Document management - being able to configure Qx workflows so that the documents can automatically be routed to correct departments for approval Cons There is currently no ability to mass replace roles assigned to users. For the process module, our company has only implemented CAPAs and Management of Change (MOC). It took a long time and much assistance from MC to implement. We will be implementing future modules in the ADAPT platform once all functionality is available due to it being more easy to customize and implement. Pros Documents and Training is very heavily used at our organization and saves a ton of time and money. Our company also uses the process module for CAPAs and Change Control. Once it's implemented, it's easy to use and train users. Cons The process module is not very customizable, and the time and cost associated with implementation is very high. Review Source EC Erin C. It is a tool we can grow into. Pros Master Control is an excellent quality tool. The reliability is phenomenal. We have implemented document and training, and it always works the way it is supposed to. Cons There is a definite learning curve when learning to use Master Control. Pros Document management is simple and effective. Cons I don't have many other eQMS to compare to, but I would say that the system is not as intuitive as it maybe could be. We have a lot of users who do find navigation of the system overall to be difficult. Switched from [AssurX](https://www.capterra.com/p/10010604/AssurX/) I was hired after the decision to switch to MasterControl, so I am unaware of the reasoning behind making the switch. We are able to extract data needed for process improvement. Pros The system / processes can be configured by Sys admin level personnel so that the business / quality own the processes. Cons The lack of audit trail information available to us. Penumbra needs this information to better troubleshoot issues noted.
