I would never recommend Raklet to other associations looking. Pros Creating an event is simple. I don't have anything beyond that. Cons We've had Raklet for a few years and the primary reason we joined is to help us monitor membership data. This tool is far from helpful. Membership information wasn't accurate. Members could join without submitting a payment method so we would need to take extra time to follow up. Members who needed to renew would sometimes get reminder emails and some would not. Some would get reminders when no balance due. It caused a lot of frustration from our members resulting in a lot of extra time on our end. The member experience caused a poor reflection on us. The text messaging system is worthless. I would pay to be able to do this and they would never reach our members. Additionally, the customer support is horrible. Members of my team would reach out and never hear back. It wasn't until I said we were canceling our account that we received regular responses. It was a bad experience and we've since found a better solution. Review Source Response from Raklet May 5, 2025 This review was posted after the reviewer forgot to cancel their annual subscription and was asked to reactivate for one month to export their data. As the founder, I personally supported them throughout. We voided the final invoice, enforced no annual contract, and provided multiple options to help. Though on a discounted nonprofit plan, they received priority-level support with replies under 24 hours. The issues mentioned were due to configuration, not bugs, and we helped resolve each one. For SMS, we explained Twilio’s new U.S. delivery requirement, which was never completed. After cancellation, we suggested a short-term reactivation to safely recover data — including contacts, emails, and payment records. I followed up several times over the next few weeks offering help and encouraging them to update this review. It remained unchanged, and unfortunately, feels more intended to harm than to reflect the full experience. Don’t be like Shana. Life is too short. JK Jordan K. Learning curve has been pretty smooth and customer service is always super helpful. Pros Raklet is a platform that offers great value for the money. we have been able to automate some of the most tedious work we do and we are more than happy for this. We are now able to put membership management in the hands of our members. We just started using the events function but so far so good. We think this lsst part will help us a lot. Cons There 's some small stuff that needs a bit of tinkering and we would love to have more payments methods other that stripe and bank transfers but hopefully this comes in the future. We wanted to avoid the complexity of a larger AMS, which would have had 70% functionality we never would have utilized. Raklet is the right size, definitely the right price, and we got >90% of the functionality we needed. Pros Value for investment, Membership functionality, reporting that gets improved regularly, and an AMS that's open to suggested functionality and report improvements Cons API usage only available on top tier. Recently, we've overhauled how we use discount cards, and run offers through our customers and it has really been transformational. Pros The system is well built, clearly reflects deep experience and understanding of most use cases, can flexibly adapt to unusual needs, and has superb support from the Raklet team. Cons I haven't yet found anything I don't like. Reason for choosing Raklet My key criteria were a branded mobile app, flexible user directory with map based search, multi-category and multi-tier users, and an in-app member ID card with scannable QR code.
