I was also able to easily navigate my son's application and profile. It was very easy to upload documents and keep track of what else was needed. Pros FACTS is very simple to use when managing scholarships and filling out applications. Customer support is super helpful if there is any issues. FACTS constantly strives to update their systems as needs evolve. I love it! Pros FACTS is simple to learn and use. They have amazing and available training and support. FACTS systems handle all of the needs of our school, but if you decide to only use a portion of what is available, it still works seamlessly. If there is a bug or an issue, they take the information and work to correct the problem Cons Because it is so broad and has so many areas of service, learning all of the functions can take time to become completely at ease. Office Administrator Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Works, but needs major improvement" February 11, 2026 3.0 It has worked for the most part for our needs, but it has way too many issues and glitches to be worth the money for a new school. Unfortunately, since this is the only program we have, and it would be way too much work to transfer all information and relearn a new program, we are stuck with it. We would actually enjoy the program if they listened to their customers and made changes quickly to improve the experience vs shoving the issue into a drawer to revisit in 2 years. Pros It has a lot of areas to store information, and options to hide information from certain staff. The admissions feature is very helpful to use to gather information about returning/new students. Cons There are frequent, almost daily, glitches and bugs in the system. Many times staff and families cannot log in to see information, which causes a safety issue when we rely on the information. Also, certain poor designs are greeted with a "maybe one day, or never" responses when we bring up concerns. Some concerns only require a simple or quick fix, but FACTS is unwilling to make any updated without months to years of deliberation. Review Source MK Melissa K. February 11, 2026 4.0 FACTS has been a win for our parents and staff, but as they've grown rapidly in the past few years some problems of capacity are difficult. I love their responsiveness to ideas and concerns, and hope to see a better understanding of the way schools actually use the product so that new features hit the mark and rollout becomes less challenging for users. Pros Ease of use for parents and teachers; customizable fields; multiple grade scales to accommodate advanced and honors courses; easy report card process; allows different gradebook types for different grade levels; Premier Integration gives our families one place to go. I feel heard by FACTS when requesting important product changes and have seen great progress on a number of important fronts. Cons In the past several years they have struggled with downtime, with poor implementation of new features, and with somewhat regular bugs in critical features (eg, attendance). It has been less consistent than my expectations, and my users (teachers/staff) are very often frustrated. The platform effectively manages tuition, including Grant & Aid, while conveniently housing medical and classroom information all in one place. Pros The customer service is outstanding—staff are consistently friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. The teaching videos make it easy to refresh my memory on tasks I don’t perform daily but revisit each year. FACTS has truly set us up for success and streamlined many of our school processes. I highly recommend FACTS for both your SIS and Tuition Management system. Cons While the FACTS Giving portion could benefit from additional features to support easier donor management, we do appreciate the convenience of having all our information in one centralized platform. I found it easy enough to learn. I will say that the chat and HubHelp need work. Pros It is pretty user friendly. Layout and whatnot is easy, parents/students seem to like the Family Portal. Cons Some of the functions could improve, especially reporting. Also, Chat users don't really know the system they are "helping" us with. And Hub Help is very hard to find specific things. The Reports are my only real complaint, that and not having two-way communication with students and parents as an option. These are not issues anywhere near big enough to sway me to try something else. As far as Student Information systems go, FACTS is a fantastic option. Pros I enjoy all of the student and family information it collects and how user-friendly it is once everything is entered and set up. Managing records for the school is easy because it is all kept in one place. Customer support has always been very helpful when needed. Cons I think my least favorite aspect is the Reports. While some of them are excellent, there are a number that feel a bit clunky and difficult to extract meaningful information from. For example, I have not been able to find a simple attendance report that shows an overall number of each attendance code for a particular student, class, or the school as a whole. Generally, I can only extract raw data, with no ability to export to Excel or anything to try and drill it down. Additionally, the Graduation Plan Audit format is cumbersome to read. It has been built well for office, administration, and advisors to build what they need and mostly supports easy use for teachers. I would love to see new permissions and report/viewing options to better support those whose role is to provide support in addition to what classroom teachers can provide. If this gap can be filled, I would easily say this is the most effective SIS available and would be quick to recommend it to any school. Pros The system has improved greatly in support for school management on the whole. Attendance, family information, individual grades, and emailing have become simpler, although email can still be confusing. The gradebook is fairly clear and easy for students and families to access quickly, connecting parents, teachers, and students. Cons As an academic coach/academic support teacher, I have to pull grades repeatedly to see trends for individuals and for each grade-level overall. There are currently very few ways to pull this information quickly in one place, adding numerous steps and utilization of data recording outside of Renweb, which is not ideal for security or efficient access to data that is needed to build better support for students. Even though the kids I work with in my role are not considered sped students, these issues would also create barriers for schools trying to support those students as well. I would love to see better viewing security rights built, and easier access to gradebook scores and trends across multiple grade-levels through reports. Review Source JB Jenny B. There are shortcomings in a few areas but for the price I have not found a comparable one-stop solution. Pros FACTS is a comprehensive school management system that has overall functioned well to meet the needs of our preschool-12th grade school. From housing our SIS, facilitating our admissions and enrollment, managing our tuition plans and assistance awards, and serving as a communication hub with an outstanding custom family app, FACTS is the go-to solution for many ACSI schools. Many features are intuitive for the user, and the support we receive from our account manager is outstanding. I’ve seen it grow and improve in meaningful ways, and it’s become an essential part of our daily operations. Customer support has always been great, and overall, I’ve had a very positive experience. Pros There is so much built into the FACTS system. It can feel like a lot at first, but if you really take the time to learn it, it can be a tremendous addition to a school. There are so many tools available, and once you understand how they work together, it really helps streamline daily tasks. Customer support is always available and ready to help when something comes up. I also appreciate that they regularly ask for feedback from the people who actually use the system. They’re constantly adding new and useful features, which shows they’re trying to improve and meet schools’ needs. Cons The communications/email system still feels a little antiquated. It can be challenging to create polished emails, especially when adding documents with graphics or logos. It has definitely improved over the years, but it’s still not quite where I feel it should be compared to other communication platforms. Review Source Mariam R. June 23, 2017 5.0 Our parents do not need to call our office as often, they can go straight to RenWeb and FACTS to see what is going on with their student and their account. It is transparent and user friendly to them. Pros Since this software is so comprehensive it is great to be able to call the customer service number any time during the day. The customer service team is courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable. Using this software in addition to FACTS has also allowed us to pass on the same level of customer service to our students and families. Cons The transition has been difficult and it would have been helpful to have more integration, import export capability with Excel and have templates provided for this transition. I am impressed with the visual aides and the ability that the system has to come up with the stuff to make the courses be effective. Cons There is a lot of buttons needed for clicking and moving on. I also was a parent at a school using FACTS for lunch. Both schools experienced minor issues but were happy with FACTS compared to alternative options that exist. Pros As a teacher, I liked that I could find everything that I needed. It made it easy to send emails (with reporting/tracking - I could prove when I sent an email and to whom I sent it), download rosters and other reports (like a birthday list, which I used to make sure every student turning 18 got their birthday present - a copy of their state's voter registration form), and manage grading. Customer support was accessible both to my site admin and to me as a teacher. Cons It seemed like there were often issues & quirks that my site admin had to work out or that I had to work out as a teacher. The gradebook had to be set up JUST RIGHT or your grades would break something. If a student got switched to a different section of a course, I usually had to manually transfer their grades. I don't know if these issues were user error on my site admin's part or errors within the app, but it wasn't as straightforward as it should be or as flexible as a small private school needs. The customer support is very good and immediately accessible. Product development is ongoing. With the new FACTSSPACE user voice, the feedback from the support staff is very good. Pros Very comprehensive, it performs all of the functions we require from an SIS without the need for external third-party services. Cons The reports are very comprehensive. However, the ability to cross-reference different sections of FACTS SIS is very limited. As an example, you cannot cross-reference an Admissions report with a Student Data report. " April 25, 2025 1.0 Setting up the grade book is a tedious task, and it has to be done over and over. Grading is mouse-heavy and miserable. It's only better than a paper grade book. I would choose my own spreadsheet over this rubbish. I hope it's better for the administrators/decision-makers. Pros FACTS allows the school to use one system for management. That has to be good for the administration. It calculates grades. Cons I've used this software for ten years, and teacher experience is absolutely horrible. You must visit several screens and mouse around to add assignments or grades/comments. And after all that work, you can't copy assignments or even categories year to year, so each year you must spend hours recreating your grade book, even though only the dates need to be changed. Miserable. And they don't seem to even think about user experience. Case in point, they just changed the login page so that you must visit TWO pages to log in rather than one. Cons There are sometimes bugs that need to be worked out with users getting error messages. Several updates/changes which is a good thing but can also be a new learning curve. I have watched the tutorials and have been able to use this site as a one stop shop. Pros I absolutely love FACTS! It is so easy as a teacher to take attendance, contact my students' families, add grades, and do my classroom planning all in one place! I have had nothing but the best customer service anytime I have been stuck and needed a little help. What a great product.
