It is also easy to get users set up and any technical assistance is provided quickly. Cons You cannot have a user set up as a firm and a client. This means you can never use Suralink for inter-firm relations. Also, we cannot change the standard notification setting for clients. Review Source NP Namrata P. Client no longer tells us we emailed you documents and audit teams say we haven't received it. Suralink does great job of giving real time status of document request list of client! Pros Such an easy and secure portal to use. Timestamp management and collaboration is a plus. Notifications to your email of changes. Cons So far I have no complaints. Pros Software is really easy to use and easy for clients to figure out. There is no difficulty in training new people how to use the software. All features are simple and intuitive. Cons I've had several scenarios in which new engagements are hidden from a client and I don't think to update permissions when I upload a new engagement. This is something I should be more aware of; however, I think that permissions to client users can be an easy prompt to add when uploading a new engagement. Review Source RC Ryan C. I like that you an access uploads for multiple years to come and that it makes it easy on both parties. Cons I did not think that the interface was the most user-friendly. I work with many clients and it is hard to keep track of the documents received. This allows me to set up clients and have their documents all in a safe place until I'm ready to work on them. Cons I do not like the set-up requirements and publishing the binders. I also struggle with finding how to remove people from particular binders so they will not get notification in the mail. Download multiple files at once and download it in the same structure of folders into your systems!! This is the best part. The download will sit in exactly the same folders in your systems too. February 7, 2020 5.0 Pros I love how easy it is to plan out engagements with customers. It is really helpful when trying to coordinate what you need with what the client has prepared for you. It also gives the client a structure that makes things feel less overwhelming and easier for them to understand as well. Pros It makes it very easy to track and accumulate documents that we need from our clients. It is much easier to manage this way than having to ask each of your team members if they have a certain document before asking the client. Cons I do not like how when you add a new request to the middle of the software, it doesn't re-number them. I understand why it doesn't (as it would make things very confusing), but it kills the OCD in me. I think the reason why they don't renumber is definitely the best decision. February 7, 2020 5.0 Sometimes the clients are slow in adapting, and still try to email documents. I continually nudge them to use Suralink, and it's working well. Pros It allows both the clients and the audit team to track the status of the engagement. You can make comments, upload files, and watch as your audit goes from 100% outstanding to 100% complete! Cons That I cannot delete comments on the engagement once the area is fulfilled. This is great for simple audit or accounting functions, but not so for more complex audit (SOC, SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, etc) audits. Pros Clean layout. Speed of the site most of the time. Good for tracking of simple file requests from clients. Cons The ability to track dependencies or refer to other documentation (requests) is lacking. Can not put requests into a sequential order (require one before the next before another) and have that effect due dates or notifications. Security for engagements for the same client needs to be enhanced. Need ability to reuse categories/subcategories and requests between engagements. Review Source PA Paul A. Pros I most appreciate its flexibility to what either we or the client need/want it to be. Cons The menus in the client interface boarder on being too complex.
