This is a great tool to use with clients to keep the audit on track and organized in terms of what is needed from them before, during, and after the audit. Pros MY experience has been good as the clients and i enjoy it of use ,and I appreciate how easy it is to import lists and drag and drop items into categories Cons Some of the features lack logic. I don't have to open each file now wondering what request it is related to. It has saved the company a LOT of time. Cons On the commentary box it shows a complete log of all downloads, even if I am re-downloading a file that I already downloaded a little while ago. It is an audit trail, but I believe it can all be captured in single dialog box instead of each dialog box for everytime I download the same file. Review Source JB Joshua B. February 17, 2020 5.0 Pros I like the most that you can roll forward engagement requests. It is easy to organize and update requests. In addition, I like the ability to send reminders to the client. Cons I least like that there is not option to set requests for a one-time basis. For example, the option to not roll forward certain requests that only pertained to a year. Review Source SM Steve M. We have had great buy-in from our Audit clients because it simplifies the process. Our Audit staff has been able to streamline the process of getting information from clients. Cons Not being able to support more than one host entity per email address. We have a CFO Advisory arm that could benefit from having the ability to be a user on multiple firms rather have to have either multiple email addresses or add/remove as a user. Also, we can always obtain a real-time status update about the data received and data sent. And it provides information as to the date and time when the data was uploaded/downloaded, thus everyone being accountable for their job. Cons The data confidentiality should be maintained within a particular request. For eg. For payroll, if a request has been assigned to a particular person, only that person should be able to download/veiw the data. The problem we face is, all persons who have been assigned any task in one particular engagement can view/access or the data for all requests within a particular engagement. Thus confidentiality of the data is compromised and as an alternative we have to use email as an option to obtain data, which we don't want. Review Source AJ Aaron J. Pros I like how easy it is to see what has been uploaded and that it acts as a go-between between me and my clients. It keeps my inbox from being cluttered with documents and provides where my whole team can access the same information. Cons I don't know if it does already this, but I think Suralink could send the client emails asking them for items that are still open at lease once a week. February 17, 2020 5.0 It is a secure portal, allowing two users to share information and communication about specific documents. Pros It is easy to organize a lot of information, it serves as a great communication tool between client and administrator. I am able to show my clients documents they sent before and they can send me the same information for the year I need it. Also, the ease and flexibility as the number of users increase, we can all receive information on a high note. Cons I dislike the exporting function of the software. The report is generated however you would like, but there are some features like editing that should be allowed to happen in the report. Also, if you want to export the file, you have to ensure everything is up to date, which can be a hassle for a large team. Review Source WB William B. It makes organizing and tracking client information much easier. Cons Sometimes when I import requests from an excel file, the software will have trouble recognizing the file but that rarely happens and it's an easy fix once you transfer the data to a new excel file. Cons One important feature is missing (a field to provide a unique ID for integration with external GRC), which was requested and promised months ago. Unfortunately there has been no progress updates, so it is unclear when or whether this feature will become available.
