My overall experience with Alayacare has been a great one, it is a big reason why I chose to apply and become a team member of Bayada Home Health

Pros

What I like most about AlayaCare is the ease of choosing shifts and the duties listed for each client for each home health aide.

Cons

I have not used the software long enough to have any dislikes, I'm still in a trial period. I do recommend it for any Home Health agency to train their employees on picking shifts and knowing their duties at each client's house.

Fair, there are/were some very strange UI issues early on that I have never seen on a platform this size and otherwise fairly modern (at least compared to the decrepit EMR or CRM software that I am used to). These issues being things like, not being able to search clients/employees with apostrophes in their name or hyphens for the first few months of our company using this platform. From a UI side, even though there were workarounds, this is an issue that I know is fairly trivial to fix (making sure search items are being read as strings instead of plaintext). The strong reporting tools are very useful for my role, and while I do wish they were streamlined, I know that direct integration with SQL is preferable to the systems I'm used to using.

Pros

strong reporting tools, overall sensible layout, responsive UI for client/employee search, fair amount of ability to restrict access based on roles.

Cons

SQL reporting needs clearer links to form context fields (in name), there are many pieces of data you can pull from a client/employee profile that would not be immediately evident from the profile, which is good, but there should be clearer indications that those abilities exist. Reduce redundant language in DE 2.0 that would pull multiple results if you are looking to make a report with (for example) client contact information. There should not be a "Client Contact Type" and "Client Contact Type (form context field)", especially when in many cases only one of the two would ever pull data at all.

I did not make this decision but my understanding is that the per-client/employee maintenance costs for our former program were exorbitant in comparison to it's unique market benefits.

The customization capability to our business. They also have alot of partnerships that enable to us streamline our business.

The follow through with training sessions regarding getting slide decks and follow up questions answered. Emailed several times with no luck.

My experience has been moderate. The support staff has been wonderful, however they also don't know the workflows of a children's treatment centre and so there has been a LOT of rework and stress

Pros

I like the ease of using the interface, and that multiple windows can be open.

Cons

I have really struggled as a Children's treatment Centre because the software is not designed for our usage. We have had to re-invent entire workflows to fit within this model, rather than having the software work for us in the most efficient way.

Overall fair, we are currently revamping our entire system with their help to customize branches as we expand.

Pros

Improved functionality with recent improvements, user friendly reporting through Data Exploration 2.0. Also excited about Layla (new AI)

Cons

Difficulty receiving assistance through zendesk. We have had several tickets opened that remain open for quite some time with no feedback or follow up. Wish there was a simpler way to track overtime and see a client's first and last date of service accurately.

Very complex and can sometimes be confusing how complex it is. Sometimes when an issue arises, it can be something so small that breaks alot of workflows.

Overall, AlayaCare has provided a seamless and convenient experience for our staff when it comes to client files and documentation. It allows for a clear method of identifying goals amongst the variety of disciplines, tracking schedules and client visits and generating the necessary reports that are utilized within our operations for quality improvement processes. Additionally, our staff love the feature of instant messaging. This feature gives a safe, confidential method of discussing amongst the care team issues they may be experiencing with a client, the advice they need from a group or specific individual, and any other need for communication they may have. We adopted this feature in February and it has come with great feedback. I would highly recommend AlayaCare to other home care agencies looking for a quick, convenient, and comprehensive take on documentation through a secure system that can be accessed in the office, at home, and on the road.

Pros

I enjoy the ability to filter and view documentation throughout each of our client files. As a clinical service manager, this makes it easy to identify items of interest and monitor for quality improvement of the different individuals on the client's file.

Cons

My least favourite item about AlayaCare is the piece about different prompts - our therapists require inputting into their schedule the visits they are conducting and activity codes to code for payroll. They are not prompted about doing this; thus, many individuals forget, creating a backlog of work for our office administrative staff to go back over to correct.

I enjoyed using AlayaCare and it allows us to schedule for our clients and also see the careplan clearly. I like the feature of DE 2.0 for data to share to the team.

Pros

I like that it is easy to use and fairly straight forward.

Cons

I wish there is a button that allows us to click multiple days to schedule. Yes it odes allow it but if we need to make changes for one day sue to sick calls or client cancellation, it does not work.

Overall I still love AlayaCare and would choose it again!

Pros

AlayaCare makes scheduling a breeze! Its simple and quick. We don't have to make those pesky phone calls to staff and get the feeling were inconveniencing them instead, we just send the offers through AlayaCare and wait for their response.

Cons

AlayaCare tends to be difficult for caregivers to log into at times. We're constantly having to tell them to delete the app and redownload it. More so with iphone uses than Android.

There seems to be odd glitches that happens in the system that does not hve any reasons and its one offs. I.e. password changes and why getting signed out after just signing in about ten minutes ago.

Connector has been quite difficult to manage and learn, would love more support articles on navigating the platform.

I like the efficiency and the organization of Alayacare and now it is broken down into sections, that it is User-friendly, and compiles all patient information in one place.

Cons

Sometimes the nurse experiences glitches in the app while filling out their forms and the note is unable to be recovered in the failed uploads section, causing the nurse to do double work.

Overall system is easy to navigate. I really like the reporting capabilities as they save me a lot of time.

Pros

Data Explorer 2.0 reporting is easy to use and comprehensive. I like the dashboard display options. The ability to add custom fields in some of the areas like demographics for both employees and clients, client contacts and service to name a few is great! The means to report on those custom fields makes all the difference. The capability to build custom forms help us with our customized workflows.

Cons

Reporting on Forms is very cumbersome and in many cases not possible. It would be great to have Data Explorer updated to the studio version for more calculation options. Our staff use the field portal role for privacy reasons and are self scheduling. It would be nice if they had the ability to add the facility on the mobile app and be able to modify the facility on the web version.

the ability to click on several visits to batch and drag and drop. Not knowing the other options to improve environment that are in the backend. The amount of case manager's that we have gone through in the last 5 years.
