Pros The platform is easy to use but lacks customer support. Cons Teachable doesn't help customers. They refer you to the course creators. I bought a course created by \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and asked for a refund since the course didn't deliver on its promise. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] was very hard to get a reach of and didn't care at all of what I had to say. It offers so much flexibility with content types and the structure of courses is gorgeous and functional for users (speaking as a student in a Teachable course and a creator myself). Pros I really like Teachable. I think it's awesome they have a free option and the paid options have helpful features at a decent price point. I like that it's easy to use. Cons It was overpriced for what you get. We used a few plugins on Wordpress and ended up with a much better system without paying Teachable. Also, the design controls are limited, and we found the UI kind of ugly. So the choice to build a small LMS on Wordpress was easy. Review Source KG Kim G. It has everything I wanted and has been so easy to use. Cons I do not like the new sales page update. That’s probably because I’ve only used it once and am just unfamiliar with it. Pros It's simple to sign up for an account and either take a course, or build your own course that can be monetised. Pros I think Teachable has a very modern interface and the student dashboard looks great. Cons I didn't like that they take a % of income, didn't have the ability to upload docs in the discussion area and I find it harder to use than other platforms. The user experience is beautiful and intuitive. Cons The "one-click" upsell feature is actually a two-click upsell which is suboptimal for marketing purposes. Once it's saved, it's there for years to come. I can have as many students and courses as I want...and I can sell them if I am able to do so (maybe a project for later) Cons The pricing of this program makes it lack feasibility for my school or classroom. To have five owners, we would pay a month. If I am able to sell my courses, then this might be offset by the income...I'm unsure since that's not my purpose in use. For classroom instruction, this program probably isn't the best. But, if you have great courses you can sell (private industry), you may make good money with this. It just wasn't a fit for my purposes. Pros Personally I like the reliability of Teachable, it is very stable and seamless. I should say Teachable might be the most advanced LMS platform on the market. Cons The downside is as a user when you are at the start-up stage it is quite hard to choose which tier should choose. Teachable also provides tuns of resources to help course creators get started producing high-quality courses. Cons Sometimes the text editor can be buggy, requiring me to refresh the page.
