### "Teachable U is a great way to learn to create a course"

October 23, 2018

5.0

Everyone involved is helpful and positive, and that's important when I'm starting a new project like this!

Pros

The support is very good, with a lot of instructional videos.

Cons

The dashboard isn't very detailed, and it takes some time to get to know where to find the elements I need to work on.

### "Suprise, Shock & Terror"

September 14, 2023

3.0

At first...steady. Until all work, time and design disappeared with no "save draft," or return to last edit, etc.

Pros

Ease-of functionality at first...it appeared to address our marketing plan

Cons

Were not able to save work-in-progress...then, the surprise! Lost hours of work.

### "Great teaching platform"

February 23, 2020

4.0

I use Teachable to create lessons and quizzes to test our clients on the knowledge of financial services

Pros

What I like the most about this product is the ease of adding new chapters, creating quizzes and editing content.

Cons

What I like the least is that I have two accounts with Teachable and when I log in, it always tries to connect my other login in with the wrong account

### "Best video course platform! "

June 20, 2021

5.0

The price is very reasonable, it's a great platform to build amazing video courses!

Pros

The platform looks super professional, it's very easy to create professional and high-quality video courses for online clients.

Cons

I would add an option to create a video course you don't really want to sell, just to send to registered customers. Also, the navigation on the website is pretty difficult.

### "Everything I need to create my own online course"

January 26, 2021

4.0

Teachable is giving me a platform and way to translate my knowledge into a monetized online offering.

Pros

The courses and ideas available on Teachable cover everything I need to create my own online course. I wasn't sure where to start, but Teachable makes it much more achievable.

Cons

While there weren't exact examples for my industry, there's enough overlap from their general advice to help me out.

October 14, 2021

5.0

Pros

\- very very easy to learn and use - a free plan to try - letterally in minutes you can create a course and sell it - i guess is the best way to publish a course for a non-tech people

Cons

\- high commission for the transactions - the best features for business only in the most expensive plan

Reason for choosing Teachable

Is the most simple and have a free plan

### "Teachable makes becoming a online course creator easy!"

April 11, 2019

5.0

I have been using Teachable for at least the last 2 years. It has allowed me to share many of my courses with a wider audience. I love getting new students when I am asleep!!!

Cons

There isn't anything that I would say that I don't like about Teachable

### "Good features; Limited support"

August 26, 2020

4.0

I'll continue using Teachable, now that I've gone up the learning curve. I wish creating a course were a little more intuitive.

Pros

After watching some tutorials and spending a bit of time, I was able to get the hang of creating online course through Teachable. They have good features like affiliate marketer enabling, adding a coaching service, and a backoffice bookkeeping option. They also offer a 30-day money back guarantee.

Cons

It's difficult to get live support, and the website offers no help in marketing your materials. It's nearly impossible to find your class in a google search.

### "Made the Switch from Self-hosting!"

February 23, 2017

5.0

I recently made the switch to Teachable from self-hosting my courses because of the professional looking layout of the course & curriculum, and the opportunity to add affiliates with easy tracking. Uploading the course content has been easy (bulk uploading is convenient), it has been user friendly, and I have since launched and hosted multiple courses with no problems. The only suggestion I'd have is to make the account creation and payment on the same page.

### "Payments always late"

July 8, 2017

2.0

Pros

It is easy to use, and easy to share and sell content. Unfortunately ease of use is useless if they do not pay you your money!

Cons

The timing of payments is in the USA which means users in other countries need to wait for USA opening hours to get support. In a company such as this you would expect 24/7 international support online at least. Money is not paid regularly and you can be waiting months to receive the money from your courses. Not worth it at all of this income is important to you!

### "Ok for what it is"

September 1, 2019

4.0

While at the beginning I liked that people weren't able to search for courses on Teachable, I have found it difficult to gain traction- and think this might be a benefit for new users (but perhaps something that could be turned off for veteran users).

Pros

For basic text uploading, graphics, etc, Teachable is a quick and easy solution to get a course up quickly.

Cons

I dislike that the free option is going away for users with more than 10 students. I also dislike that Teachable still takes a cut of sales, even with paid options. It's not the most user-friendly for more than basic options.

### "Teachable is Convenient to Use"

March 30, 2021

5.0

As a student, I like the dashboard that gives me quick access to my courses. I'm thinking of using Teachable when I create a course later this year.

Pros

I've mostly used Teachable as the student, not the teacher. It seems to integrate with websites nicely and is easy to enroll in the courses.

Cons

As a student, my interaction with Teachable courses has been very good. No problems to date. Good job!

### "Teachable is fantastic if you need to get a course up and running without the technical know-how"

October 3, 2017

5.0

Pros

The two LMS platforms I recommend to entrepreneurs are Teachable/Thinkific. Everything around a online course can be built on Teachable. That way, you can focus on making course content and teaching your students.

Cons

The lack of mobile responsiveness, and embedded content is hit or miss. I had trouble embedding a online form for quiz taking, and the workaround didn't work.

### "Best Platform I Found"

August 22, 2019

5.0

There is only a small learning curve. It is possible to be up and running quickly. The platform seems to be very stable.

Pros

Flexibility and ease of use is excellent. The pricing model works best for our purposes.

Cons

Lack of graded quizzes with out moving into a more costly plan.

### "Very eye pleasing and easy to use as a user and a teacher"

January 19, 2018

5.0

Pros

It is soooo easy to use and fluid between different parts. Love the app that's available, too. Makes it convenient as a student to complete courses. Has a premium feel to it.

Cons

There's not much to not like, except the pricing, which can be quite high when you add in their fees.

### "My second recommend course hosting platform, but not my favourite"

October 4, 2019

5.0

It's a good platform overall and would be my second recommendation for people who want feature rich platform. But I have a different preference.

Pros

I liked the way the courses are laid out the sectioning, the structure of the course outline and the feature rich

Cons

The pricing and the fact they take a transaction fees on the smaller plans. That was a turn off. The sign in process as a USER, I dislike. I have signed up to a few teachable courses of other people and I do not find it simple enough.

### "Intuitive and great value"

December 3, 2019

4.0

I was investigating learning platforms and this one had great reviews, reasonable pricing, and really stood out.

Pros

It is easy to use, and a really great value. I like how the certificates of completion are built right into the platform.

Cons

Not much bad I can say about it. The pricing structure is so much better than something like Kajabi (although I believe Kajabi has better marketing features). It's a great platform to get started with.

### "Good as a starter platform"

July 16, 2019

4.0

Pros

For someone who just wants to create content and have a place to store it, this. could be for you. It's not costly, you can create courses and store them free (cost is paid upon enrollments). For a starter or simple course platform it gets the job done.

Cons

For one who wants to create professional courses online, build up your budget and use a higher end platform that has more features and gives you more functionality.

### "Share your knowledge!"

March 13, 2022

5.0

Pros

The things that I like about this software are; People can share their knowledge/skills to other people who are interested while getting paid at the same time. They are their own boss. People have options to customize/personalize their content.

Cons

I don't think I have any least like about this software.

### "One of the premier options for creating courses"

June 11, 2020

5.0

So far, impressive product, but still has me evaluating open-source LMSes for now

Pros

I am currently evaluating many LMS/Course creators and Teachable is one of the easiest to deploy on. I was recommended by an influencer who swears by it.

Cons

I wish there was some way for all of these course creators to not cost $30+ a month. It makes getting started a bit harder when you have to pay for a lot of other software alongside.
