Solid shipping platform that handles order management and shipping automation really well. Great value for money once you master the interface, though the learning curve is challenging at first. Perfect for businesses serious about optimizing their shipping and shipments process.

Pros

Amazing value for money with the rate shopping feature that actually saves on every shipment. The user interface is clean and order management flows are intuitive once you get past the initial learning curve.

Cons

Steep learning curve for advanced shipping features and the sales management integration could be smoother. Ease of use suffers when setting up complex shipping rules initially.

ShipWise just works. We never have to worry about it making errors or going down. The DSX app is a great option for pick and pack shipping.

Pros

The outstanding support. Whenever we reach out with an issue or question the chat or phone assistant speaks English and quickly solves our problem.

Cons

Occasionally features that I think are missing or not functioning well. For example, I would love to utilize the "Check Weight" feature of DSX more, but most of our products ship with void fill making exact weights hard. I wish that had more flexibility to configure weight rules.

I have found them to be very responsive and patient with my questions. They walk me through API updates using visual displays and written directions which I find to be very useful.

Pros

Easy of use & support. They have a great tech staff that has a quick response time. They are very patient with non-tech saavy people like myself!

Cons

Noting comes to mind but like most vendors I will say price. They are very competitive but we are always wanted more for less

### "Inefficient, Terrible UI, Costly, Lots of Errors"

DesktopShipper is a nightmare of a software experience. If you operate a business that involves shipping, do yourself a favor and stay far away from Desktopshipper. There are MUCH BETTER and CHEAPER alternatives out there like Shipstation, Shippo, Shipworks, easyship, and shippingeasy. Why do you see so many positive reviews from other users? My guess is that they've only used Desktopshipper and don't know how much cleaner, simpler, and more efficient other shipping software is when compared to Desktopshipper.

Pros

What I did I like most about this software? Saying goodbye to it.

Cons

\- It's slow and inefficient! So many unnecessary steps and mouse clicks to ship. Even batch-printing, which is supposed to save time, is bogged down by an excessive number of steps. Desktopshipper is a time-suck and not built for high-volume sellers. -No ability to save preferences so you're always having to set certain things every time you refresh the page. This adds extra mouse clicks and inefficiency. -Can't adjust column width or column placement. Unless you're working on a 32" monitor, you're going to be scrolling left and right a lot. This introduces additional inefficiency in the shipping process. - The UI is awful. It looks like it was built in 2005 and hasn't been updated since. -Headers don't stay static, so you lose the action icons in the header any time you scroll down or right. More inefficiency! -Setup takes weeks and costs you $125/hour. You can't do anything yourself because the software is so convoluted. Setup took my company roughly 10 hours only to continue experiencing problems after setup. -Errors are abundant. Worse yet, the errors give no explanation as to why they're happening and/or how to prevent them. -Support is pretty useless. Most of our support calls would end in one of two ways: 1. Support has no idea what the error/problem is and needs to submit it to the development team, or 2. Support instructs you to submit a feature request because the software is lacking basic features. -Search function is broken

We switched so that we could test Pitney Bowes as our primary carrier. Pitney Bowes doesn't integrate with Shipstation so we had no choice but to also use a new shipping software. Long story short, Desktopshipper sucks and Pitney Bowes is even worse. Needless to say, we quickly went back to USPS/UPS and Shipstation.

Overall, I think ShipWise has many pros and has been very helpful in the success of our site, and I would highly recommend.

Pros

ShipWise is easy to use, easy to train others to use, and very reliable. Customer Service is easily reachable and always helpful and kind.

Cons

When updates take place on Mondays which are the busiest shipping day of the week. This has caused us in the past to be dead in water for a few hours. Also, the delay to manifest a label could be sped up.

Shipwise was there for us when we were end need of a dependable solution. They have exceeded our expections and we very much look forward to building our partnership.

Pros

Shipwise handles volume shipping with ease. They are easy to use and respond quickly to my customer service needs. They are a great innovative partner and have proven to be a great value. They helped us get out of a sticky sittuation with our last partner that failed us.

Cons

I have not found any cons with using ShipWise yet. Any issue I have ever run into has been resolved and if it could not be resolved, that was communicated to me.

Great experience and I feel like I have a whole team behind me. They have helped us with integrations and have been able to solve most of my issues.

Pros

The support is unmatched, great response times and knowledge by all support associates. Support will call and follow up to ensure that the issue is taken care of

Cons

I wish I could save export preferences for reporting preferences. For example it's a pain to click/unclick all the fields I need for routine exports.

so far been a good experience and easy to use. Usually there are no issues and if so, one of the two shipping options usually helps.

Pros

able to ship efficiently and quickly and assistance when problems arise. having th DSX version and the app make problem orders easier to get out the door.

Cons

seems like extra steps to do some simple things. Been on chat to figure out how to print a return label to us, shouldnt involve multiple steps.

I've had a wonderful experience, particularly appreciating the customer service, which has been both pleasant and remarkably fast. The speed and quality of their support have truly stood out. Furthermore, the efficiency gained when shipping a high volume of items, specifically over 60 items each day, is substantial. This streamlined process significantly saves both valuable time and physical energy, making daily operations far more manageable and less taxing on resources.

Pros

The user interface is truly excellent; I find it remarkably simple to find my way around and access all the features I need. The design is very intuitive and straightforward, making navigation a breeze and contributing to a really positive user experience overall.

Cons

"Nothing to note shipwise" is truly a great product, offering a solid and reliable experience, and I am genuinely impressed with its current capabilities. Very content with the application. It's easy to use and is frequently receiving updates to make the user experience better.

Pros

This is a very user friendly software. It comes with a very good support team that is always available when an issue rises. They constantly keep checking till the issue is resolved.

Cons

The least i like so far is tracking packages via shipwise sometimes. It is definitely easy to track them, but sometimes the tracking statuses arent up to date and it can innaccurate when you try to get a report.

Excellent. I’ve recommended DS to everyone I know with a small business. Their team seems to actually understand the nuisances of shipping and what the customer requires. Also love that the team is small enough that I often get the same support person. Very cool.

Pros

Best customer support team EVER. DS has an amazing team of dedicated \*real humans\* that truly help you get to the bottom of whatever you’re having trouble with. This has made the experience of working with DS so incredible.

Cons

Wish there were customization options. As a small business we don’t use a lot of the options available to customers so it would be cool to remove the stuff that’s not relevant to us. Also would love photos/icons of the products being shipped so it’s easier when you’re picking/packing.

### "Desktop Shipper"

This is about the most bullet-proof software we use. If we ever need to make a tech call, it's usually about a problem beyond their control.

Pros

Tech support is outstanding. Always available, always thorough.

Cons

Can't think of anything. We installed it several years ago and have no issues with it at all.

### "Great Cloud Based Shipping Software"

We are able to get more orders out the door because of the ease to batch print like shipments. We are currently shipping 5,000-10,000 orders daily through desktop shipper.

Pros

Pros: Ability to batch print 500+ orders relatively with ease, rate shop feature is excellent, the support team is great and very helpful with customizing certain features

Cons

The shipment search functions are a bit wonky and wish it was easier to use.

We have been using this service for 7 years and they have always been reliable, friendly, and knowledgeable -- working with us at every given turn to meet the needs of our growing small business. Would absolutely recommend to any small or large business with nuanced shipping needs.

Pros

The integration team understands our needs and the software works perfectly with our order management system. It makes comparing all rates as simple as can be and with all the new functionalities that have been incorporated, I would be hard pressed to find a situation that is not covered or isn't currently being worked out.

Cons

The way the amazon shipping services are shopped is a little convoluted and they don't always return the the rates/methods that would work best.. but, 85% of the time it's fine and I know the team is currently working on this with Amazon. (As I understand it, the majority of the issue comes from the Amazon side of things.)

Very positive overall experience. Over the past 8 years, we have shipped over 600,000 parcels using this software. For a large shipping operation I would highly recommend desktop shipper. If you are not going to customize the rate shopping feature and tie in with a digital scale this software is definitely overkill for you.

Pros

The rate shopping feature saves a lot of time and money. It is also a compact interface that is very easy to use. It is easy to get new employee up to speed, and ensures items are shipped with the correct postage class.

Cons

It connects to most scales instantly, but we had the misfortune of buying scales which were not as common, and it took some time to get the hardware working. But the Desktop Shipper staff was professional and able to get our scales working eventually.

Pros

The software is really helping our customers to ship huge amount of order everyday. So of them are shipping around 2000 orders everyday.Customers really love the feature where they can compare the rates and other things from multiple shipping vendors and really helpful in cost management.Cost is also very justifiable according to the services.Very helpful in printing labels.

Our experience has been great. Like any software, issues pop up here and there. but they are great with communication and quick to fix it. I'd recommend them to anyone over their competitors!

Pros

We have been using Desktop Shipper for almost 10 years and there is a reason we are still with them. No one can print labels faster! We have shipped as many as 3000 packages with just 6 ship stations in a day - no other software could do that! Because of their auto rate shop feature, we are able to ship over 80% of our orders without even touching anything on the computer. You place the item and package on the scale, scan the packing slip barcode, and within 5 seconds the label is printed! BOOM.

### "All-In-One Shipping Program"

Everything just works with Desktop Shipper as long as you ship with standard ship services like USPS. If it's a more uncommon ship service like Donnelly, I'm very quick to call customer support to help fix it which they are always super helpful and energetic to help.

Pros

Being able to include every shipping account you ship with whether it be USPS, Donnelly, FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc Once you learn how the program works, it's all pretty self explanatory, pick a service code, enter dims and it automatically reads the weight off the scale plugged into the computer (and it only reads the weight when you tell it too, unlike UPS Worldship)

Cons

Changing prices on international shipments. Would be easier if it was like UPS Worldship where all the lines were editable from the get go instead of having to edit, save, repeat until all line items are changed

Single pain of glass for all our shipping labels. Very open API and easy to integrate with. Very reliable.

Cons

There are different label formats (Images, ZPL, etc.) returned from shipping vendors. It would be nice if Desktop Shipper offered an option to standardize output.

DesktopShipper has enabled us to save money by knowing exactly how much a shipment will cost, and by immediately being able to see what is the cheapest shipping method based on the shipping rules we have implemented in the software. It makes shipping a very easy process for new employees. DesktopShipper has a team of wonderful staff that are willing to help us overcome any obstacles we face with shipping. Highly recommended.
