Most of my experience with Tai has been frustrating. Frequent bugs, unannounced changes, lack of compliance awareness and quality control. I don't recommend.

Pros

Good core features for small-mid sized brokers handling FTL shipments. Active development with frequent updates. EDI automation team is great.

Cons

Too many bugs with slow support resolution. API/webhook specs change without notice, breaking integrations. Most concerning: Poor compliance consciousness and modify/delete their customers' transactions without authorization, creating serious compliance risks.

I love the staff, capabilities and ease of use. It is ideal for LTL and TL freight. If it was easier to work with Partners in the Tai software rather than more barriers, I'd like to be able to refer more customers.

Pros

Responsiveness to capability needs as the supply chain industry changes. Certain features (ex: hyperlinked pro #s) set us apart from other very capable TMS when selling the software. Chatbot feature gives us quick/helpful information and connects us if we need further clarification.

Cons

No updates on system features prior to changing or being removed. There are more limitations in working with our Partners if we refer them to use Tai as their TMS. Higher cost (Marketplace Fee) and more overhead for our company. This also reduces the support and help they are used to.

Tai TMS is flexible and supports different operational models. Customers use the system in different ways, and Tai allows teams to work in a way that fits their business instead of forcing a single process. The platform adapts well to both simple and complex workflows, which makes it effective for a wide range of operations.

Cons

The flexibility of the platform requires thoughtful setup and user training. New users may need time to understand how to best configure the system to match their specific workflows and operational requirements. That said, Tai is involved in helping customers work through best practices and guiding them toward the right setup for their operations.

Pros

Very user-friendly and keeps all our operations organized. It makes us more efficient and reduces the time wasted booking shipments.

Cons

There is currently no parcel shipping option, and a currency selection feature is needed. would be nice to show USD or CAD

Overall we are pleased with the offerings of TAI TMS. In a market flooded with competition, TAI TMS outshines the rest.

Pros

TAI offers a one-stop-shop TMS suite to support small businesses like ours. Their software is user friendly and works well for our business needs.

Cons

Although their 3rd party provided tariffs offers some of the strongest pricing in the market, tariff holders can oftentimes lack the response or call-to-action required to fully support customers.

Very good. I'm happy with the overall decision and imagine being a Tai customer for a long time to come.

Pros

It's very functional for everything a broker needs in a TMS. It's also incredibly easy to learn and navigate through. Client support is also quick.

Cons

The price increase since we've joined. They allowed us to stay at our price but as we grow we're subject to their new model. To their credit, they have worked with me on pricing but it's still more expensive then anticipated.

very good. We have not had any experience with other TMS systems but at this point we are very happy with TAI and would not make a change.

Pros

we are very happy with the overall performance from beginning quotes to ending invoicing. the downloading or our carriers rates took a few different times to get them loaded. We also needed some help in having them become more accurate and TAI was able to help with that.

Cons

Seems a little expensive, some of the carrier rates are off just a little with the margins. Some of the accessorials fees do not always calculate.

Im happy with Tai. I like that they are always evolving. I would love Tai if they would make a few simple design changes to make the system more user friendly and efficient for its users.

Pros

Tai is a great value for the money. You get a lot of features compared to their competition of equal and higher cost.

Cons

I think the system isn't laid out the best. It feels like the designers aren't familiar with the broker role and how they function or they are only taking suggestions from one type of broker. This system could be so much better if they just tweaked a few things to make operation more efficient. I suggest sitting with a few seasoned Brokers that actually move freight all day and see how they operate and what would benefit their productivity.

I've liked that TAI TMS has a clean, easy-to-navigate interface and helps streamline load management. It makes quoting, booking, and tracking more efficient, and I like how it integrates with tools like Highway and load boards. The automation features also cut down on some of the repetitive tasks, which frees up time to focus on customers and carriers.

Pros

TAI TMS is clean and easy to use, streamlining quoting, booking, and tracking while automation saves time and lets us focus on customers and carriers.

Cons

A few hiccups with commissions and how emails are being picked up into the system, at times delayed or not popping up at all.

This TMS has several good things that previous TMS we have used doesn't, but just like all others still has some flaws that you have to figure out are they worth living with for the things Tai does good with.

Pros

LTL portal and customer facing portals. Ease of use for LTL tracking and FTL tracking. Some of the accounting features are good as well

Cons

Supplier management doesn't work great for large agents for drayage carriers. No real way to keep tabs for performance if carrier isn't on a load (IE falls off the load for some reason) No real way to prepare 1099s for carriers at end of year. A lot of "Knowledge base" requires a degree in computers to understand (if you can at that time), yet we are put towards this as an answer so many times.
