It’s intuitive — you can include and move around shapes, adjust layouts quickly, and it feels smooth. Plus, working with others is easily done since everyone can jump into the same diagram and make edits together live. Cons One downside is that the visuals can get cluttered fast if you're building a complex diagram. It can be hard to handle large layouts as cleanly as I'd like. Some of the tools (like spacing and alignment tools) help, but managing big diagrams still can take a fair amount of manual effort to keep things readable and useful. Review Source CH Chloe H. The collaboration and ability to visually work together on projects helps organizations take their business to the next level. Cons Lucidchart sometimes feels a bit "clunky" and has an older feeling than other products like Miro. Sometimes I felt limited by the way the shapes are able to be edited and there are issues with requiring guest users to create accounts... slowing down the process to collaborate with clients. I don't see a simple Align option while using online version. Documentation is not clear whether why this option is available only in an installable app, but I don't see where I can download and install it. Pros I like the sample templates and the video tutorials. SSO Integration is useful as well. Help content seems to be decent. Cons I don't see a way to align shapes. There is no Align option in lucid.app. I should be able to move shapes horizontally or vertically so that connectors stay straight. It unnecessarily puts bends in the connectors. Very annoying. Pros The ability to create very visually interesting and useful charts to convey ideas and present decision trees. It is far easier for the specific goal of flow charts and decision trees, especially compared to powerpoint which I previously used. Also easy to export diagrams to PDF or as images Cons The control isnt always very intuitive, like I wish there was a style method to make the entire chart or diagram in a consistent design. Or maybe enforcing a grid structure if desired. Sometimes rigidity could be good. This may have existed but I did not see it intuitively. Simplifying the layout and making key features more accessible could enhance the overall user experience. It allows you to always have a whiteboard that never has to be erased and can be kept and referenced long after meeting times end! Cons Some times the templates are too confusing and have a hard time formatting them in the manner I want. Cons I'm not sure this is really a con, but it seems like there are a lot of capabilities that it will take me some time to learn like pulling from other data sets and automation.
