### "Clear Visualization for Complex Data and System Workflows"

January 31, 2026

5.0

Overall, our experience with has been very positive. It has become a key tool for visualizing complex processes, system integrations, and data architectures in a clear and structured way. From an Anaplan and Data Operations standpoint, it helps bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams by making workflows and dependencies easy to understand. The collaboration features, ease of use, and clean visuals support faster alignment, better documentation, and more effective stakeholder communication. While there are minor limitations around performance and licensing, the value it provides in improving clarity, efficiency, and cross-team collaboration outweighs those challenges.

Pros

What we liked most about is how easily it allows us to visualize complex systems and processes. From an Anaplan and Data Operations perspective, it’s extremely helpful for mapping account hierarchies, data flows between systems (Salesforce, enrichment tools, GTM stack), and end-to-end process documentation. It enables clear collaboration across teams by making workflows, ownership, and dependencies easy to understand at a glance. This has been especially valuable when aligning with stakeholders, onboarding new team members, and explaining technical concepts to non-technical partners. The real-time collaboration and clean visuals help us move faster and reduce back-and-forth during reviews and planning discussions.

Cons

What we liked least is that some advanced features and integrations are locked behind higher-tier licenses, which can limit access for broader teams. For larger or more complex diagrams (such as detailed data flows or multi-system architectures), performance can occasionally slow down, making edits slightly less smooth. Additionally, managing permissions and version control across multiple collaborators can sometimes be a bit manual, especially when diagrams are frequently updated.

### "Seamless cloud collaboration"

July 29, 2025

5.0

Seamless cloud collaboration that I can now automate with customer transcripts of requirements converted and imported into , a real timesaver!

Pros

is a standout tool thanks to its seamless cross-platform accessibility—no installation required. It delivers all the features I need, from intuitive diagramming to real-time collaboration, without compromising performance. Whether I'm working on a Mac, PC, or tablet, it just works. The interface is clean, responsive, and packed with powerful capabilities that make complex visualisations simple to build and share. It’s the perfect solution for professionals who value flexibility and functionality.

Cons

Licensing can be a bit hard to understand—especially the differences between Chart and Spark plans. It’s not always clear what features are included in each tier, which can lead to confusion when trying to choose the right one for your needs. A more transparent breakdown would help users make informed decisions without needing to dig through documentation or contact support. Once you're set up, the tool works great, but getting there could be smoother.

### "PP app loves Lucid Chart"

January 20, 2026

5.0

We replaced diagrams.co with Lucid chart because of it's greater range of features and team collab was superior. Overall its super helpful for us to build journeys and architecture flows.

Pros

Lucid has one of the best library of user flow templates it's super easy to use and I also found it to be quite affordable for our organisation

Cons

I think the initial set up is a bit tedious but other than that all seemed fine. Some controls are a little fiddly and some of the UI is a bit dated.

### "Wonderful to use, but expensive"

December 16, 2025

4.0

is undoubtedly the leader in its field. The UI is so well polished that it just feels much more comfortable to use. Unfortunately, this comes at a price, and when deciding upon your software stack, this will end up being one of the more expensive purchases if this is needed.

Pros

has a diverse array of icons that can be used. The arrows to join sections of a flow together are really intuitive to create and to move. Charts are very easy to share, and very easy to collaborate on.

Cons

The product is a little bit expensive, given that draw.io has a free version. It is also tricky to export the graphs from this and use them in other projects.

### "Lucidchart Visualizing our complex grammar structures."

March 26, 2026

4.0

It is in the best interests of our learning and teaching to exhibit the complex Scandinavian grammar graphically, as a Language Instructor. I employ it to plot linguistic ideas and develop interesting resources of study. An extremely strong diagramming tool, the limits placed on simple shapes by the paywall pricing structure can be annoyed by a non-profit making or small school.

Pros

The user friendliness in relation to the template library is superb and our instructors are able to quickly create beautiful sentence structure trees and vocabulary mind maps in our project design without knowing how to use graphics.

Cons

The higher price groups provide bad value to money to use certain education templates and tracing the changes and versions of the collaborative diagrams becomes extremely confusing and the customer support simply refers to the articles on forums.

### "Lucidchart could be a verb: Lucidcharting. It's that good."

August 7, 2025

4.0

I enjoyed the use of . As mentioned, it was easy to use and very helpful. Even the free version is sufficient to get the point across.

Pros

It's a good alternative to other charting tools. It's easy to use and understandable. The product becomes colorful and helpful upon completion. Worth anyone's look for use.

Cons

Probably the least appreciated is the layers of use. You can use the free version but it is limited. So, to get access to the exceptional tools, you have to move to either of the paid versions. I understand the need for payment. It makes sense. But, it is limiting unless you have a budget for this kind of use, which means Lucid may be limiting its own adoption. I don't have an answer for this except that they need to become a leader in charting to be able to compete against bigger names.

### "Diagramming a complex workflow of events."

February 14, 2026

5.0

Visual clarity is needed in planning events. I find this to be a strategy mapping tool. It is necessary in project design but the cost is built up fast.

Pros

The template library is rich and it can be used to visualize complicated event processes fast so that the whole team can easily interpret the plan.

Cons

The updates and versions are frequent and sometimes change the location of important tools without notifying the customer, and the customer service is usually not responsive to billing mistakes.

has made it possible to map end-to-end visa cases. I take clients through step by step explanation, minimize confusion and my team manages the project status with reduced efforts.

Pros

I like the way enables me to draw process flow of visas in a fast manner. The templates in-built, linkable diagrams and the comment option ensure that the lawyers, clients and operational staff are always on track without having to write long and explanatory emails.

Cons

I do not like the clutter of the interface when working with complex diagrams. I occasionally choose the wrong choice and lose some steam as deadlines come closer.

### "Easy to use and full-featured."

August 24, 2025

4.0

Overall, Lucid is a very easy to use tool and provide so much capability to create both simple and complex charts and diagrams.

Pros

Lucid has a lot of flexibility, offers a wide variety of shapes to use, and makes it easy to quickly create a variety of charts and diagrams.

Cons

It provides so much, but the one thing that kind of bothers me is that when switching to an already open chart that I haven't visited for a few days results in a delay of displaying the chart. Again, just a slight annoyance.

### "My Take on Lucidchart: Really Not Bad!"

July 28, 2025

5.0

I've been using frequently over the past year, and it's become my go-to diagramming and collaboration tool—far better than other default options we had at work. It's incredibly intuitive, easy to use, and makes sharing with teammates seamless. I started using it on my own, but over time, more and more of my team members opted in as well because of how efficient it made our workflow. Beyond just my team, I’ve seen growing adoption across different departments. Recently, our company signed a corporate contract with Lucidchart, which will make collaboration even smoother. I highly recommend it to any team looking for a reliable, user-friendly platform for visual collaboration and process mapping.

Pros

Very user-friendly interface, even for non-designers for project design Easy to collaborate in real-time and share across teams Flexible templates and shape libraries save a ton of time Works well for both technical and non-technical diagrams Monthly cost is as little as a hamburger and a drink

Cons

Limited features on the free plan. But as mentioned, it's not expensive at all Sometimes the format changes when downloaded as in another design software format

### "Not worth the costs."

January 27, 2026

1.0

Pretty awful, totally not worth their value proposition. Their customer retention people are aggravating to deal with while trying to close the account and be reimbursed for services not used.

Pros

It was web based and simple to use. That's about it. You can have multiple users access the files from the web.

Cons

The pricing is ridiculous for what amounts to a flow chart software. It can be easily replaced by a variety of FOSS self-hostable software. Something any small business should be able to set up in an afternoon.

has become a vital part of our work tools and we have had an incredibly amazing experience working with it. We use it to create various diagrams especially process mapping diagrams and flowcharts. It has very powerful editing tools that has proved very worthy in creating outstanding diagrams that are impressive visually and very useful.

Pros

### "Good software. Unethical practices. "

May 15, 2025

2.0

I was happy to use them for 6 years. However, the unethical practices and inability to cancel drove me to change the provider. I cannot rely on the company that rips its customers.

Pros

It is a good diagramming tool with nice data features. Their integration is good, their visualization is dated, but ok. They have very lowlearing curve if you just want to use it for diagramming. Overall, feature-wize, it was just enough for me.

Cons

they blatantly lie about the price on their services and they are impossible to cancel. I needed an additional data capabilities for a client. They suggested to use Enterprise plan and gave me a quote (about $25 per month). They charged the difference and i though i was all set. However, 2 days later they charged me $70! . I tired to contact them. I tried to cancel the plan. There is no phone, no email, no possibility of canceling online.

I loved using Lucid and plan to continue using it for various aspects of my work. I would recommend this platform to anyone. It was the best platform to combine creative and analytical thinking into organized and structured templates that make my work easier to manage and present! I used it for focus groups and participants were able to add sticky notes to boards I created which made my data from this research more organized, qualitative focused, and interactive ensuring everyone in the focus group was able to participate equally.

Pros

I love how easy Lucid was to use! The learning curve was very easy due to the user friendly layout of the home page and document features! I also loved the various templates provided. This made it easy for me to set up documents!

Cons

I wish I could categorize my documents into folders to keep it more organized. This would make it easier and faster for me to access documents.

Pros

The flexibility and ease of use. I appreciate all the easy to use templates, and especially the SFDC ERD import.

Cons

I don't love the auto-included conditional rules that come in on the templates. I also don't love certain aspects of the ERD importer for SFDC. There should be more flexibility with what we do or don't include on the imported ERD. The tables are also not easy to work with.
