Cons

Overall, we had an unpleasant implementation and dealing with the after affects. We have a good team of people that we work with now that have made the process better. I work with the team daily to make sure our suppliers are getting compliant. I also work wit h the team to make Avetta better for everyone.

Pros

We gather all information in one place, provide many reports for all of our departments, Senior Executive Management and our Board of Directors. We also provide our safety department the information they are looking for on our suppliers. The notification process that gives our suppliers sufficient time to upload documents that are about to expire, insurance, WCB, safety manuals, COR, etc.

Cons

Cost has been a struggle and will be an ongoing one. The cost to our suppliers is very high as this is a requirement to work with our company, the cost is significantly higher than other platforms.

Then customer support, if you can successfully reach them, are helpful for the most part. There has been several occasions - including today, that took more than 20 minutes on hold or for a call back to reach someone. If you own a business, don’t use it. If you’re an employee plead the case for your employer to avoid it. There are far better more functional systems out there.

Pros

Nothing. Not a single function works intuitively.

Cons

There are too many to list, the system barely functions at the best of times. Adding employees is a painstaking process with back and forth responses with people that review document submissions that dispute every document for a simple inability to read the information on the document it seems. None of the functions work in a logical or intuitive workflow. The system essentially crashes if there is a minor unknown function.

### "A Lot of Work"

I'm not happy but I do what my customer wants. Even though I still get the business compliant or not. I still don't see the purpose. Seems to me evryone is paying big bucks for all these companies that grade you compliant or non-compliant.

Pros

The features seem easy to use. Not that there isn't any confusuion just not as much as some

Cons

I am used to paying based on the number of employees. This program is based on number of companies and how many sites and insurance. Frankly its too expensive even when they don't find you compliant you still have to pay when you are non-compliant.

### "Worst compliance company ever. "

The only reason we use Avetta is because some of our clients that used PICS and BROWZ were consumed when Avetta bought them. When you have to call them, which is unfortunately often, there's an option to deactivate the account, which is a mean temptation. I actively try to convince clients to use other systems. Our small service contractor company should not be so much for an actively detrimental system. The insurance sections gives me literal nightmares.

Pros

I liked PICS and Browz more, they were ancient for software but at least work got done and in a somewhat reasonable timeframe. Avetta is a sham, lots of bright colors to distract from the waste of time and money.

Cons

They let client companies connect with your account even though you will never ever work for that company, and then you get charged $2400 for them connecting and you can't get them removed. I've called and written a couple hundred times about the same companies, and they will not remove them. They tell you 5-7 business days to fix it, it's been 2 yrs now.

Reason for choosing Avetta

No one should ever willingly chose Avetta, huge corporations that own multiple facilities all over the world have accepted it because Avetta bought the systems they were using before it was Avetta and didn't want to waste time changing. Which is unfortunate for the little contractors that have to work at these places to survive.

From vague emails and phone calls (if you can get them on the phone)... to disconnected clients, and outrageous bills... I have found absolutely NOTHING beneficial from using avetta to pre-qualify for my clients. It's the biggest scam of the contracting century.

Pros

The website works most of the time. It isn't helpful, but it at least works.

Cons

It's extremely expensive for a service provider. I cannot imagine the cost to the facility owner clients. They do not assist you in crafting good policy to mitigate risk to their actual clients, they simply force language into your policy that their document scrubbers will pass. It takes half dozen guesses how to get that language in the first place. Prepare to circle your tail for weeks as avetta empties your wallet and halts work on your client's facility for you.

Reason for choosing Avetta

I did not. My clients choose Avetta, and mandate pre-qualification, which does not actually mitigate any risk. If anything, increases such, and increases costs, time, and oversight required to ensure good contractors get to do quality work.

I dislike maintaining the avetta sites...by far the least user friendly compliance site I use...and by far the most expensive. I would not recommend and business to use this platform. I wish that companies would understand the cost that is passed on to small businesses for very little value.

Pros

Avetta is my least favorite compliance site I use..

Cons

1\. You have to upload multiple document for each client. Other sites only make you upload your documents once...on Avetta you have to upload for every client...its a waste of time. 2. The cost is double of what we pay for Comply Works and $800 dollars more that ISN. Avetta we only have 3 clients and pay $4116 for an annual subscription.3. When you want to speak with someone in person it is not easy to get someone on the phone. I put in a request for a phone call and they said the do not phone service providers. I had to wait on hold for too long.

Reason for choosing Avetta

I did not choose it and would not recommend it to anyone. The cost is high and the product is very poor compared to ISN and Comply Workds

### "Double the price, 10% of the service VS. ISN"

Our business is engaging our sales teams and exploring customer incentives for customers that do not use Avetta. They are so poor to work with, we are literally changing our business to guide our customers to a better solution for everyone. Other services function 100% better (including for the hiring client) and are much more efficient at completing that task, with much better customer service.

Pros

There are no features at Avetta that are not significantly worse than ISN.

Cons

The software requires contractors to upload redundant documents (same document many times for multiple customers), requires documents for areas of exposure that we in no way handle as a business, and the customer service is beyond terrible. Submitted documents and audits often wait days or weeks before they are initially reviewed. Then Avetta will often flag items by their inexperienced staff that know nothing about health and safety or government regulations. All of these things lead to customers waiting significantly longer than necessary to get the services they need. These issues are related to their incompetence, not due diligence.

### "Worst Customer Service Ever"

I can never get customer service. When you call they circle you around and then tell you that they have no customer service available and this is for month after month not just one time. This is always. I have never been able to speak to a person when I have tried to call. They take 2-3 days to review paperwork then decline it and do not even know what they are talking about when declining it. I do not think their employees know English or how to read basic forms. This company is the biggest SCAM.

Pros

Nothing. I hate this company. I wish I could cancel.

Cons

Everything. It is very expensive and we are forced to use it because they bait our customers into joining it and mandating it.

Pros

The excessive loading screen animation entertains by cat. Nothing good about Avetta.

Cons

The product is inherently broken for worker management. It takes 5 minutes to make a worker profile change and the application breaks when assigning more than a few workers at a time. The support team runs you in circles and tech support is needed for any data changes more than editing 1 or 2 workers.

### "AWFUL COMPANY"

I have had to seek help from them on many occasions due to the way they manage things, constantly having to duplicate documents, constantly having to get clarification on things. I did not want to join this and was made to by client. They will not be an honest and open organisation and let you have a pricing structure, my costs doubled for each of my clients for a year. They ignore safe contractor protocol meaning increasing work load.

Website looks ok and thats it I can not see any pros for this organisation

Cons

No one will supply direct answers. They refuse to supply a pricing structure, you have to wait until you get your bill. Uncooperative Will not give clear guidlines Duplicate work

### "Fraudulent company and practices"

Scam company. Seriously consider doing business with any company who uses Avetta as their compliance management. This place is bogus.

Pros

This company is the worst. I was forced to use them to work for another company. They overcomplicated the compliance process and held up a contract because of their terrible customer service. Now the company that did use them, stopped using them in under a year (I wonder why...). So I contacted them last week to shut my account down and they have not complied. In fact they have now charged me for the year of service that I don't want or need

Cons

It is impossible to speak with anyone on the deactivation team. I have called, emailed, sent chat requests multiple times over the past week and they refuse to honor my request. I now have to contact my bank to start a fraud case. There is no way to remove my bank account information, I tried last week, which is fraud!

### "They have us over a barrel. "

Frustrating, expensive, time consuming (especially when you have an issue). If you have a billing grievance, the only way to get just resolution is to involve your clients. Avetta has suppliers over a barrel and knows it. The inclusions in our "membership" are of no benefit to us. In fact "membership" is totally misleading. It is not through choice. Not once have we made a change to our WHS management system based on feedback from Avetta, or any other platform for that matter.

Pros

The only benefit we get is complying with client requirements.You can turn-off auto-pay. It should actually be illegal to charge a company for an action made by another one (e.g. if a potential client "connects" with you). Even when you get a notification about proceeding with a connection its says something like a fee "maybe" incurred. Not what the fee will actually be.

Cons

Expensive. No transparency regarding "membership" structure or fees charged. Avetta will not provide a fee structure on request. We have no say over what type of "membership" we have. Time consuming - annual review.

### "do nothing bit pass on costs to the contractor"

so far ive only signed up because an end client wants to use them. but now i will consider if i even want to business with the end client. this is a service for businesses who cant manage business themselves. who want to pay a middle man to pass on costs to the contractor. total scam and totally unecessary. maybe it works for large contracting firms but for anything like an sme its no good at all

nothing at all, literally nothing, its clunky, poorly designed and offers nothing for the £847 i had to pay to join and have so far seen no benifit at all.

Cons

the 10 day delay in response time. the lack of clear negotitating. the lack of ability to discuss with clients. the CHARGE they issue for every business connection you want to make. if business operated like business they wouldnt use this abhorently expensive middle man. what a toal scam and waste of money

I will never work with this company. I strongly recommend anybody read this post do considerable due diligence before signing up.

Pros

Not one single thing. I personally believe there’s a good chance this company is a scam and just does this to receive upfront money and add on fees down the road. Honestly I cannot say one good thing about this company.

Cons

I started the process of subscribing to the service. The on boarding process takes way too long and I decided not to move forward. I never formally subscribed for this service but this does not stop them from sending me invoices. I’ve had multiple conversations with the customer support group along with countless emails for them to stop contacting me for past due invoices since I never signed up for their services. This is not stop them at all and I find this very unprofessional. I also find the customer support group to be embarrassingly bad and rude.

My overall experience with Avetta has been painful to say the least. From sending emails to an employee that has not worked for us for 8 years numerous times, even after being notified that this person is not employed by us 5 times. Consistently (daily) telling us our yearly fee is overdue and we are at risk of non compliance. This was paid on the 15 March 2021. No amount of emails or phone calls can rectify this simple (one would think) situation. When looking for support all emails and communication comes from the states and I am advised of American phone numbers to call (I am in Australia). I get no response from any emails I send.

Pros

Once everything is uploaded it is easy to see if there is anything that needs to be actioned

Cons

There is basically no support for users.

Avetta seems like a racket to me. If no one can answer questions, that says to me they are hiding something. I suspect it is over pricing for a service that is of little benefit.

Pros

The system is easy to use, but it gives you no recourse for questions.

Cons

Cannot get anyone on chat, by email, or by phone to answer questions. I have been trying for over a week.

Absolutley nothing, no help, refuse to answer questions, takes weeks for a reply and its the standard have we resolved this.

Cons

The whole process is awful, redflagged because we have not answered questions or information they never asked for in the first place. An example how many hours have your employees is worked in the year. We told them, they came back with but the average employee is 40 so your total hours do not add up. SO THEY RED FLAGGED ME FIRST, then asked me to explain why, when clearly the issue is we have part time employees as well. It lacks common sense.

Terrible. Their auto response system is terrible. It doesn't hear responses correctly so it will hang up on you. There always seems to be some glitch in the system and getting to a representative is time intensive and frustrating Unfortunately, I agree with every negative thing said on these reviews. The operator for whom we work even admitted they only use Avetta because it is cheaper.

Pros

Nothing, other than it complies with client requirements. We have to subscribe to Avetta because of the operator; we get no say in the matter.

Cons

They are always always always "experiencing a higher than normal call volume" so it takes forever to get any issue resolved.

Very poor business practices! Clients can add you at will and you are charged around $600 for each one!! There is not even a way to avoid it, they just charge the card on file and send you an invoice!!! What other company can get away with that?!?!? The bad part is, we need to be a member in order to do business with some of our own clients! It's a total racket!!!! AVOID THEM IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING HIRING THEM AS A VENDOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM!!!! YOUR VENDORS WILL HATE YOU FOR IT!!! I may consider contacting the state AG and filing a complaint on this predatory company!

I do not have anything positive to say. Their customer service takes forever to respond and they charge exorbitant fees for everything.

Cons

Very predatory company. They allow potential clients to connect, and then charge $600 each to the credit card on file. We are very selective on who we connect with, and reserve membership for our regular clients. We have no choice but to dispute each one. How is this legal?

God awful. standard big platform nonsense with a captured market where they don't have to bother offering any value.

Pros

Nothing. It's terrible. Typical captured market where they don't need to offer anything of value but we're forced to use them when they sell their magical powers to big clients.

Cons

Everything. Buttons don't work, so you lose two hours calling support, getting bounced between different call centres, no one can fix your issue and when they find someone who can, your call gets dropped on multiple occasions
