has been an overall positive addition to our fundraising toolkit. They provide immediate support when needed.

Pros

provides the tools including a knowledge base and customer success managers to ensure your event goes off without a hitch.

Cons

The software is split between BidPal and P2P. The P2P is a lot more modern and has a sleek design. The BidPal software could greatly benefit from an upgrade with a more intuitive and user-friendly backend.

Pros

Utilizing the event management feature is critical to the success of our annual fundraiser. It allows for even a small nonprofit like ours to make a big splash and look very professional.

Cons

The software doesn't exactly work hand in hand with our established donor software.

My experience has been great over the four events in which the software has been used. I feel it simplifies the entire fundraising process and allows us to make more money to support our non-profit!

Pros

The support for is it's strongest feature in my opinion. There are tutorials and step-by-step guides on the product and event management. There are also assigned event and success managers that partner with you and guide you from the planning and execution stages to the actual event. Our organization has had a OneCause event manager on site the evening of the event, which is valuable to ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Cons

I do wish there were some more easily customizable options in the giving center for those that are not skilled in HTML and coding.

It is a bit challenging to identify which charges are for which deposits to turn into accounting. It would be easier if there were batched weekly deposits vs individual deposits.

Pros

The online auction was really great! It was easy for people to use and access! Check In was smooth and self explanatory. The reports are very helpful as well.

Cons

I wish that you could use the credit card swiper's outside of using the app. Our situation required us to use hot spots and I was told that the app pulls a lot of data so it was risky to use on a hot spot. Having to manually type in every bidders credit card information, really slowed down check-in.

I have been very happy with the response from our representative. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] (new position) responded when I needed help. Also, I can't tell you how nice and helpful the tech support people have been for me. I could not have completed our auction without their support. Awesome job!

Pros

It is so nice to have registration, donations, and auction all at the same place and using the same platform. Seems that our users are pretty comfortable with it's use.

Cons

I wish you could just upload a document from your computer for custom pages. It's a bit cumbersome going to drop box. I'm not sure why that is especially since we're able to load auction photos from our own computer. I also think that the check boxes for auction featuring, etc. are a bit confusing. Not always intuitive with the enabling, etc. check boxes.

Actually, we have years of history, so I'm not sure whether other platforms would offer the same or even better support.

My experience has been great! I would definitely recommend this product.

Pros

The customer service is incredible. Any time I had an issue, it was easy to get someone to help. If they could not find the answer to my question, they were quick to find an answer and respond. It was extremely easy to use and get my auction items in the system.

Cons

I did not like the method that I had to use to input the tables. I also wish they had a way to email item donors a thank you note.

This software was invaluable in providing the timely access to bidding on our fundraiser. We had over 500 packages available and over 5000 total bids. The scoreboards were easily integrated into the video displays and AV equipment. This software assisted in a volunteer group pulling off a very professional silent auction and live auction.

Pros

I appreciate the checklist and the tutorial videos. The tools to build an engaging fundraising interface are intuitive and capable.

Cons

The import tools are very handy but they do not yet contain full functionality. A second import of updated supporters actually creates a second entry rather than an update to an existing entry.

Overall, we're very happy with . It's got the features we want, it's reliable, and customer service is second to none.

Pros

This year, I'd say what I like most is that it allows us to hold silent auctions despite COVID but in general the software works like it's supposed to and offers all the features we want. Additionally, I can't say enough about their customer support -- they are knowledgeable, prompt, and cheerful while they help you. This replaced some older auction software that didn't allow for mobile bidding. For the most part our guests love the mobile bidding. It's fun and keeps everyone interested until the last minute of the auction.

Cons

The cost makes us stop and consider alternative products every once in a while. Also, there are MANY reports to choose from, which is great, but I spend a lot of time finding the one I want. It'd be nice if they were organized differently.

Pros

I find it difficult to use computer programs until I am very familiar with them. The support team at is invaluable regardless of the individual who is assisting me. They have always been patient, helped me through my questions and have done so in an encouraging way regardless of the number of times I call. Thank you Thank you

Cons

I still struggle with setting up sponsorship pages. I don't think it is the site.

### "An Honest Review from a First Year Advancement Coordinator"

As a first year Advancement Coordinator at a private school, I was given the task to produce a live and silent auction to raise funds for my campus. I was told to check out BidPal and I'm glad that I did. The software system was relatively user-friendly with many helpful features. These features were readily available on each category page on my BidPal account. Also, the call help desk feature was great too. Creating our BidPal giving center, which is your school's own website, was easy and important to our event. I could post all the auction items and share the link on Facebook, Twitter, email, and our school website. Using the mobile app for the night of the auction was amazing. Our guests had only the best compliments on how easy it was to bid on each item we had available. One of the only complaints that I have about one of the features was the scoreboard feature. The scoreboard is a slide show feature that displays the running numbers of the auction, currently raised funds for the silent auction, and donations. I wish there was a better way to control the scoreboard feature to better display the live auction items in the order we would want it to be displayed. Outside of that, it was a great feature. Overall, BidPal saved us many long hours by using its software features for our live and silent auction. During the night of our event, our guests were having so much fun with the mobile app that they began to give more than what was expected. At the end of the night, we raised close to double the amount we were expecting. BidPal is worth the investment because it has proven to me that it will save you time and increase your revenue for your event. I would highly recommend BidPal to Advancement Coordinators, PFT presidents, administrators, or anyone that has to produce a school auction. You won't regret it.

### "Good Product, Good Service, Relative Ease of Use"

We were grateful to have a staff member at our Gala and she was excellent. However we have now learned to run the software ourselves with success. Customer service was good but it is not helpful to be directed to a website or genreal anwers to questions when you are seeking a specific answer. WE still can't figure out what some monthly charge is for. Overall expereince was good.

Pros

While we still can't get our people to give up paper bidding, we are very pleased with the ability to set up the auction page and share it it with event attendees and others. We have been successful using a buy now option and selling items before the event.

Cons

There needs to be a better way to cusomize bid sheets. There also needs to be a more intuitive, easy way to get people to preregister --- like a big button that says PRE-REGISTER. A small sign in button on the top right had corner of the auction page was hard for our people. Also a one step process to pre-regestier and put in a credit card (as opposed to a two step process) would be great.

Onsite support, reasonable price, good initial sales contact, reputation and references.

Pros

I had run small and large fundraising events for over ten years before using . It’s ease of use for both professionals running events and individuals attending are second to none. From item addition/set-up to guest registration to day-of details, this software makes a flawless event easy. We've overall had a great experience with . The customer service is key and probably one of the most important aspects to us because we are a small organization. The price keeps rising which is tough and it would be great if tiered pricing was considered for smaller budget operations. When the price keeps going up it is tough.

Pros

We pivoted to in 2020 and it has been a game changer. The ease of uploading and the broadening of our existing base of supporters through posting online has made an impact in our revenue. The ease of collecting payments is so important and has caused much less stress.

Cons

The photo quality, size, and ability to add multiple photos could be better. It's a little tricky to navigate initially, but the customer service is great! The check-in at live event wasn't smooth and the ability to swipe a card would be so much easier.

We chose on the recommendation of another non-profit and we chose it specifically for our annual art auction platform.

The best thing I can say about this software is my login worked and that's about it!

Cons

Customer Service was horrible. We got passed around from one person to the next and then was told that the program would have to be 'worked around' costing my volunteers valuable time to get what we were told we would have from the software. Our guests at our fundraisers complained constantly about the software and the onsite representative did NOTHING to step in and assist. When asked for a pro-rated refund mid year because the software was handicapping our events, we were told simply no. Thanks for nothing BIDPAL!

### "OneCause for Benefits"

has been great to work with. Customer service is outstanding. The platform was resonably priced and relieved some of the work that goes into the auction. Onecause also allowed us to seamlessly move to a virtual auction this year.

Pros

We started using for our annual benefit auction February 2021. So glad we did! our 2021 benefit had to be virtual and our guests were already familiar with the program. Very intuitive but what I liked most is the plethora of tutorials and articles that I turn to quiet often to help me set up and use the site from the administrator side. Were also able to use it for a mainly contactless golf tournament in the summer of 2020 as well. Reporting after the event is robust and very helpful and customer service is fantastic!

Cons

I loved that the live chat help that was available last year. This year, you have to send an email and wait for a response. Also, I would like to be able to customize some of the reports so I can pull out just what I am looking for. Thirdly, if you require an email for a user to bid on items, there should be a default or override you can use for guests who don't have email. Not many don't but there were a couple.

It really is a great software, especially coming from the limited software our organization previously had.

Pros

really thinks through what the user needs to have a successful event. My volunteers loved it and the need help document links directly to the page you need, rather than searching for the relevant information.

Cons

There are so many great customizable options that I would assume there would be even more customizable flexibility for the user, but that is not always the case. gives you the tools and resources to be successful, but sometimes the ability to make your own report, or set up a sponsor or ticketing system with certain specifications isn't as easy.

Overall this worked great for our annual fundraiser. We are looking forward to using it again for next year's fundraiser in a (hopefully) hybrid in person and online event!

Pros

It's fairly easy to use overall. We used this for one large event and it saved so much time doing some things on here that we would have otherwise done manually!

Cons

While some features are user friendly, the design component of the event isn't as easy. It's actually kind of of a pain to upload pictures and format your actual site. I would have expected it to be easier based on the webinars I'd attended and conversations with the host.
