Website is too cumbersome to do for an event. there should be an option for a donate page to purchase tickets and then a link to the auction items. I would like more exports to be offered, see answer above.

Pros

The back end where you could put in the auction items and didn't have to put them in a spreadsheet. I did put the supporters in a spreadsheet with table and bid numbers and that was easily done.

Cons

I think there should be a separated place for items/donors and supporters. I had trouble getting the export that I needed to do my thank you letters. The donor thank you offered had a document that wasn't able to edit the margins in order to use my letterhead. I was not able to get one export that had company name, name, description, address, value. I am not sure why this basic export was not available. I called and the person was unable to help me. I took two exports and had to merge them.

Using has facilitated our Silent Auctions tremendously. We started using this system when we had to first do our Gala virtually and have continued to use this product for parts of our Golf Event, online fundraising and as a means to mass communicate (text) to our Golfers when we had to cancel at the last minute due to weather.

Pros

The ability to text reminders to bidders, let them know when outbid, etc. was key to increasing our winning bids.

Cons

Our system does not interface with our donation management software. Setting up a new event can be time consuming, especially when first learning the system and if do not use often to remember how to set things up.

We use primarily for our silent auction and ticket sales. I really appreciate the in-person, on-site support we get during our Gala and Auction as well.

Pros

I like that the product is easy to change and manipulate on the back end. The support team is also always available and answers emails quickly.

Cons

I wish the website could be more powerful and look a little more up to date.

Pros

The platform is super user-friendly and easy to use. As an admin of our account and someone who hadn't used a platform like this before, I was really happy with the features and the ability to customize the Giving Center to look on-brand. We appreciated the support team's readiness and willingness to help us whenever needed, and they were always able to answer our super-specific questions.

Cons

While there are a lot of customizable options, there were a few things we wanted to do that we couldn't. For example, we wanted to turn off max-bidding, which wasn't possible. We also wanted to use HTML for our package restrictions.

### "Great Event Processing"

Pros

Above and beyond, 's customer service is one of the main reasons to try this product. The customer service is readily available for any support large to small and responds to any inquiry with efficiency. OneCause is also a great platform for event payment processing - simple for donors and simple for staff.

Cons

The reports features could have more definitions/learning on which report pulls what. The registration/log-in for donors to the online giving could also be simplified - a few of our donors didn't want to go through a log-in process and just donate, but we couldn't figure out how to do that.

It's been wonderful. The SUPPORT team is top notch. One of the big reasons we went with Bidpal was because I knew the support was so great in the past. I have had hour long phone calls with reps trying to help make my life easier and answer all my questions! So GREAT!

Pros

In my past I have use the Peer to Peer side of and I am currently using the Bidpal feature. Both were so awesome and truly easy once you figured out the background. Both very different from each other but both helped make things so stream lined and bring in money for us. Definitely would recommend!

Cons

I don't like the look of the background of the website, but that's super minor. Lean into support they will help you figure it all out to make sure site look great and your event successful!

Pros

The Go Page made it easy to train volunteers and split out tasks without people needing to learn the bulk of the site. The Giving Center was easy to set up and use, and looked very good from the customer perspective.

Cons

There was not enough customization while using the reports, so it was hard to pull one report that had all the data we needed. In addition, there were sometimes too many steps to get from point A to point B when finding information about packages and people. The navigation of the Planner could be streamlined.

### "OneCause Auction Software use"

Pros

It is easy to use and setup. Our auction committee feels comfortable using it, and our community has an easy time setting up their accounts/profiles for ease of bidding. We like the functionality of the product and it's a much better forward-facing product than other softwares I've used previously.

Cons

I would LOVE the ability to have a button to easily create links for URL's in the setup of items and packages. It would save us all so, so much time.

We lost many in-person fundraising opportunities with Covid and this has been the perfect pivot. While first holding only virtual fundraisers, we have been able to do a hybrid one as well as a silent auction. Going forward, the hybrid option seems to be the best choice for us, as our members are worldwide and this can be open to every one of them.

Pros

During Covid, it was critical to pivot from in-person fundraising to virtual fundraising and I learned about from my son's school fundraiser. The program was easy to learn and we've progressed from virtual only to hybrid fundraising and also held a silent auction. We have converted another department to also use the program and had two different fundraisers happening at the same time.

Cons

Our members are international. My own department only works with members in the United States, but when bringing this to other departments in the company we ran into difficulties with members outside the U.S.; however customer support has been awesome and helps walk us through everything when these issues arise.

Reason for choosing OneCause

We weren't sure where to start looking when the pandemic hit. Our children's school used for their fundraiser and when we reached out to those who set things up, everything we needed to do was possible and relatively easy to set up. As a bidder on their fundraiser and the administrator for ours, it was easy to set everything up and get running and also to make improvements each time.

### "Best Bang for Your Buck"

I could be a sales rep for One Cause because I love it that much! I have influenced 3 other non-profits within my community to purchase the software. I also helped in getting them going with their setup.

Pros

After participating in the One Cause University, I felt very accomplished and capable. What I love the most, is the seemingly endless supply of functionality! The reports are amazing and easy to access. The ease of designing your event page is wonderful. Even the smallest of events appear grand when One Cause is the incorporated. I have recommended the software to 3 local nonprofits and even assisted them in getting started on the setup.

Cons

One small enhancement- I would request that within one event have the capability to divert funds into separate banking accounts. Example- Fixed price items be processed in one account, silent/ live auction proceeds in a different account. I have not used the software for an in person event, so can't speak to it's ticketing abilities.

Reason for choosing OneCause

You have to tell buyers to do the math- most other non profit software take a percentage of the proceeds of your auction/ fixed price items for your event. If your proceeds are small, then go with the "free" or reduced software. Our event was set to have a larger amount in proceeds. It was a huge benefit for us to pay more up front, as a fixed price purchase for this amazing, highly functioning software. Ticket sales are about the same everywhere you turn- I did not find any option that avoided ticketing fees.

### "OneCause for peer-to-peer fundraising"

We use to support our peer-to-peer fundraising campaign.

Pros

is easy to set up, and easy to understand. Configuration is straightforward and can be done by someone with minimal tech skills.

Cons

Using - as an administrator or end user - is unintuitive. The design is poor and users receive unintelligible error messages. It really doesn't inspire confidence in the platform, which is pretty bad when you're trying to convince people to share their fundraising pages with others.

The ease of setting up our event page as well as the ongoing support to make sure our event was successful. Also the onsite staff at the event went above and beyond to make our event the most successful. Our Board of Directors appreciated the analytic reporting after as well.

Cons

We had one ticket type glitch that took a bit longer to fix.

has been very fair to work with. The teams they send to events are always hard working and well prepared and the customer service team is prompt and takes care of business.

Pros

It's very simple, but effective to manage. Check in, auction management, and fund-a-need are all very straight forward and user friendly.

Cons

The design of the pages are a little outdated. Adding graphics through Dropbox isn't the easiest and I wish the designs were more functional.

I have had a very positive relationship with throughout my career. While I don't think the staff is as hands on as they were in the past, overall I am happy with the service and will continue to use their platform.

Pros

The backend is very easy to see and the data is easy to understand.

Cons

I wish there was the ability to capture more information about our donors. At the end of every event, we are always missing emails or other important data.

The time saved with the product is really like having extra employees/volunteers. Can't imagine doing it without them.

Pros

The software did everything we needed it to and more - from selling tickets and foursomes to silent auction and day-of fixed price items...simple to implement and a nice customer facing mobile app. But what really makes the product different is the incredible support you get from their team. Regular check-in's and calls - by the time our event rolled around, they knew more about it than I did. Although it was my first year running the multi-day events, I felt extremely comfortable and confident due to the support I received from .

Cons

I have only one complaint, and that is that there's not great-looking templates for the landing pages, and when we built our own, it was kind of a process in that it has to be stored on a website rather than uploading to . I believe they're working on improving that.

Great for tracking donations & displaying our auction items. I love the mobile bidding, very easy for our attendees to use.

Cons

I would love to have better payment options, for ex: there should be a partial payment option instead of having to create a whole new sponsorship level - it made it very confusing. Also, there should be greater variety of report options.

support was extremely helpful and responsive, which I appreciated. Overall this is a great product that is easy for both attendees and admins to use!

Pros

I liked how easy it was to save credit cards and log guests in at registration. Being able to start bidding with just the click of a link in their text messages was great.

Cons

I wish each auction item generated an QR code i could print and put on our physical display sheets for people to scan. Also, the scoreboard is limited and ugly. Wish there were options for customization without paying more. And finally, I would have loved for it to directly integrate with our CRM but exports were easy enough.

I enjoyed using this product. It provided all of the information required for our auction; names, addresses, dollars spent, items bought, etc. I liked the tabs for easy access to the item I needed to obtain information about and to print.

It was simple to use and provided all of the information required to manage and monitor our auction items.

There was no section that I didn't like to use. I was satisfied with all sections of the product.

We are in our 2nd 3-years contract with and have been more than satisfied for all of our events managed through BidPal. The customer service has been excellent, we have had no complaints from our supporters, and we continue to increase the dollars raised through our auction.

Pros

We selected for its BidPal service, and the high quality it provides in running online auctions. It allows attendees to easily track their bids, manage their payments, and saves valuable staff time while increasing the dollars raised at our annual event. The bidding site is customizable to your organization, and is mostly user friendly.

Cons

While building the bidding site, some features are a little out of date, such as uploading/embedding photos and video.

This is a very efficient and helpful tool, especially for non-profits with small staff and volunteers trying to run fundraising events. The customer service, both in knowledge, and availability is absolutely outstanding!! Truly never had a question that could not be answered and there was always someone available to us. This is difficult to find these days!

Pros

has been critical in helping relieve and assist a very small staff in the many jobs needed during the process of setting up and running a fundraiser.

Cons

There could still be more flexibility and ease in setting up multiple raffle-type items when running a benefit/auction.

Outstanding. Designers were friendly, easy to work with. Technology was easy to use. Help line is so great!

Pros

Loved the ease of use for administrator and end user. Saved us so much time with events that we started using for memberships and that has been outstanding.

Cons

We always paid extra for the site designer bc I couldn’t figure that out myself. I’m definitely not an expert with that type of thing so I felt like it was the only way to get the best product we could.
