I have been using the Fundraising platform for 3 years. I am so impressed how they have grown it and committed to continuous improvement. Every single event, something has been added, enhanced, and upgraded. I have increased my fundraising through events by 47% in 3 years since switching to OneCause.

Pros

OneCause works perfectly for my large scale nonprofit events. While some other softwares tout themselves as being "free", I find that OneCause is worth the investment as it provides a seamless experience for guests and comprehensive event management for me. We have been very happy with all elements of a live fundraising event - auction, paddle raise, check-in and check out, raffles, and more! Their customer support is outstanding and they are committed to continued growth as they are constantly evolving the product with updates.

Cons

Unfortunately it doesn't integrate into our CRM directly (Blackbaud/Raiser's Edge) but using Omatic is not a problem.

I have been impressed with OneCasue since our first interaction. The staff are friendly, the system operates easily, customer service has been efficient, helpful and kind when I have needed help, and OneCause University is fantastic.

Pros

The OneCause platform makes event management a breeze. The system is easy to navigate, the built in check lists to help your manage your event or fundraisers, and the reporting post event was fantastic. This system is a great value for money!

Cons

I have not had any negative to say. This software made event planning fun again! I was nervous about transitioning to a new software, but they delivered on everything from easy donor management all the way to easy guest experience at the event.

We've had great customer service - all of the interactions I've had with humans at OneCause have been positive and helpful

Pros

OneCause is user-friendly from a donor perspective. I receive many comments after our annual Gala about how the platform is superior to other bidding and auction programs.

Cons

There were a few features in the old platform that were a little antiquated - I anticipate these have been updated and improved in the new version.

### "OneCause WINS at Bid!"

I am a raving fan of OneCause and have been for years. I've used it for PTA fundraisers in both elementary & middle school; and convinced my employer to implement it for our annual fundraising gala at the non-profit I work for. I love the simplicity of the mobile bidding site, the ability to pull reports a variety of different ways, and the ease of use for guests. And I truly appreciate everyone at the customer service center. Unexpected issues always come up for events and they always remain calm while walking me through how to solve the issue at hand. Love, love OneCause for silent auctions!

Pros

OneCause is easy to set-up, has wonderful customer support if/when you have questions or issues, and provides a great user experience.

Cons

There have only been a few things I did not like about OneCause's mobile bidding platform, mostly dealing with file types and image hosting on a thirdparty platform (dropbox) BUT those have issues have been resolved with their new platform :)

My experience has been great. I especially appreciate the customer service help that is available whenever I have a question or need guidance. I also like the AI addition.

Pros

I like that OneCause is very intuitive to set up and manage. From setup to customer service to the end user, I think the process is seamless. It might seem expensive, but the time savings must be considered. It makes for a very efficient process, especially for non-profits with limited staff.

Cons

It is a very big process to get guests entered with all of the information. It takes too much time.

\[sensitive content hidden\] was great at teaching us how to use the platform. The Run of Show gives the needed framework and every customer support person was exceptional.

Pros

The entire platform is wonderful! Easy to use and comprehensive. \[sensitive content hidden\] met with us on a regular basis and was very helpful at explaining to the team how the platform works. Customer support was great and Jessica, who joined us at the event, was outstanding.

Cons

There are some redundancies at the point on entering the guests names. Also, it is very confusing for the guests to have to enter their credit card number to claim the ticket, even though their tickets were complimentary. They thought that the ticket purchase was required.

Cons

Our Foundation supports a very small rural hospital and the cost is a stretch for us, especially the onsite support for our auction which we find critical to the success of our event. We make it work because it has increased our auction revenue.

I had a great experience with One Cause. As the new Events Coordinator I was able to use Zooms and online tools to learn about the One Cause platform. I was also able to schedule meetings with a One Cause person and ask my questions while looking at the screen together. I am looking forward to working with One Cause again.

People did not like that they had to enter a phone number and email address just to look at the Silent Auction on One Cause.

### "Learning Curves - but an excellent product!"

I've generally had a great experience with OneCause, as the "power-user" on my team. There is admittedly a learning curve, given the vast amount of features available, but overall the online support is very helpful for granular questions I've encountered, and the event management process, from table set up to silent auction packages, is fairly plug and play.

Pros

The capabilities to populate registration details from an admin-perspective and the intuitive check-in process the day of. I also liked the text messaging platform for updates throughout the event. The variety of reporting metrics is also excellent. Great real-time chat support as well.

Cons

The user experience/interface of setting up Giving Center pages is a bit clunky and difficult to navigate. The refund/outstanding balance process is a bit inconsistent as well.

Overall, OneCause has been a great tool to have for our organization. Whether silent auctions, ticketing and donations for live events, or even raffles - we utilize OneCause often because of the consistent, quality results it produces.

Pros

OneCause is a relatively user friendly platform that has helped us never miss a fundraising opportunity. A generous group from our area nominated our organization as the beneficiary of a silent auction they were going to conduct.... that week. They asked us to create the silent auction online and send over photos of all the items they had collected. Between the seamless silent auction set-up process and the AI integrated to help draft lot descriptions, we were able to get the auction (with over 110 lots) up and running in just 2 days. This organization exceeded their fundraising goal through the silent auction and donation feature listed on the OneCause site.

Cons

OneCause can be a little complicated when it comes to setting up ticket functions and in the site design stage until you are really comfortable with the platform.

Overall, the system is a valuable tool for our fundraising events, offering a strong foundation for managing auctions and donations. We plan to continue using it and appreciate its many benefits. However, we hope customer service will collaborate with us to address the challenges we've encountered, refine the system, and resolve any bugs. Ongoing improvements will enhance the experience for both our team and our supporters, ensuring even greater success in future events.

Pros

The platform offers an intuitive design, a user-friendly experience, and a helpful new AI guide, making it easy to navigate. The guest experience is excellent, and customer service is responsive, with convenient support options via phone, chat, or email.

Cons

Overall, the system works well, but there are some areas for improvement: Items placed in a cart but not purchased are marked as "purchased," which can be misleading. Customer service states this is intentional since users must enter a credit card to add items to their cart, but it would be better if customers could finalize their own transactions. During Raise the Paddle, a bidder number correctly entered multiple times showed donations under a different name. Customer service initially suggested user error rather than investigating the issue, which raises concerns about potential misassigned donations. Reporting screens are inconsistent. We’ve been advised to download reports instead of relying on live on-screen data due to known issues.

the platform offers a wide range of tools that are very helpful for organizing events and managing donor engagement. However we consistently had difficulty signing in. Every time I wanted to access the platform, the login process was frustrating and unreliable. Improving the sign-in experience would make the platform much more user-friendly.

The supports they provided us at all times during the soirée was always immediate, and during the event, they were actively resolving issues as they arose."

Cons

I find the website a bit challenging when searching for specific information. The navigation could be more intuitive, especially for users who are new to the platform. A clearer structure and improved search functionality would greatly enhance the user experience.

Overall great program and experience. I have been working with them for years and the platform is extremely user friendly.

Pros

They had really strong customer support and their event management team took the time to understand our needs and goals for our events.

Cons

We had a little glitch during our event where images were not formatted correctly which covered some valuable information for our bidders. Unfortunately it was not able to be resolved during our event which could have hindered our fundraising capabilities.

They are great to work with. The chat is great 98% of the time. I wish I didn't have to type out all my info every time I need to chat with a person. I get that they need to know who I am, but I already had to log in to get there, and if it's a generic question it can be annoying.

Pros

The customer service is the absolute best! I've had issues on their end, that they will either explain the situation or give you a work around. If it's an issue on my end that will always do their best to explain how to fix it, or what I did wrong. They even help when it's completely my error and I just need it fixed.

Cons

Sometimes I have to make workarounds to get things to do what I want/need. Hopefully the new version will help alleviate some of these things.

### "Really Solid Performance"

It's relatively easy to set up and work with. It's easy for our donors to use without an issue, and we don't really need customer support ever because of that.

Pros

I like the interface of the app. It's clean and gives an upscale appearance to our fundraising event. The bidding process was nice and simple, and it is not overly expensive compared to other software. Everything is straightforward, secure to my knowledge, and ready to go.

Cons

I know my coworkers who have worked with it longer do not like the recent updates to the software, so we are looking to switch in 2026. Part of the reason is we wanted something that integrated with our donor management software which, unfortunately, OneCause does not at this time.

We had a successful event last year and some portions of the new system was very intuitive and easy to use. However the areas that were not intuitive were difficult to navigate.

Pros

The saving of donors for future events has been extremely successful especially as we are going into our event this year.

Cons

The staff we called for help with the new system did not know how to use the system either so that was a challange also the inability to print our fundraising sheets in various sizes.

Overall, this was as great experience. The onsite support people at our event were EXCEPTIONAL. They are worth every penny.

Pros

The OneCause support is quick and efficient. I have always been able to chat with an agent within a minute or two. The chatbot is basically useless so just ask to speak with an agent from the get go.

Cons

Getting through the chatbot before getting to an agent. This is cumbersome and annoying especially when you know the chatbot will not be helpful. The platform is not initially user-friendly. There were many elements that took me a minute to get used to. Once I got into a groove with it, it was better. Just be prepared for a learning curve as things may not always be intuitive.

### "Would Recommend- easy logistics"

Pros

Set up and check in is super easy with OneCause. Our volunteers were able to pick it up quickly, and check in went smoothly all night.

Cons

There could be more flexibility with things like website design.

### "Great for traditional bidding/paddle raises"

Pros

It's one of the only pieces of software still around that does traditional paddle raise/bidding with a held credit card and charge at a later date. A lot of software requires bidders/donors to register for an account or submit their information through a form. OneCause allows for the flexibility of a more curated participant experience.

Cons

The UI/UX of the back end is old and clunky to use.
