### "Clunky Beast, Glitchy Software, Poor Tech Support, EXPENSIVE"

The experience with WL was reasonable in the first year or so, but gradually soured as the poor business practices stacked themselves into a nightmare product.

Pros

Working with WellnessLiving for over 4 years, I got to know the software very well. It worked well in the beginning but too many "improvements" caused the software to become clunky, slow and glitchy for owners and clients. On a positive note, it allowed me to learn what works and what doesn't for my business; it made choosing an alternate EHR/CRM very easy.

Cons

Price did not remain as quoted (increased to 3x the quote): - When I first signed on, I was quoted a locked in price for the lifetime of use as long as I signed within a certain time period. In speaking with the salesperson, at the time, I praised them on how pleased I was to find a Canadian CRM that was quoting a price in Canadian Dollars, as this would make things easier when it came to bookkeeping. Unfortunately this was not upheld, and I was immediately charged in USD. Over the 4 ½ years I was with WL the price to increased to almost 3x the original quote. - The software got bigger and clunkier to use. My clients gradually became dissatisfied with the software as they had trouble accessing their accounts and booking appointments. they would also get bumped out of forms mid-completion and lose all their progress. -I constantly had to review client accounts for remaining visits bc it was too challenging for the client. -Tech support is definitely overseas, and communication is often a challenge. -When I finally decided to switch to a more appropriate EHR/CRM, I requested the data required for the migration. Instead of complying, WL tried to bully me into staying by diverting discussions to contract. As they were preventing me form doing my due diligence under PHIPA an PIPEDA, I finally had to initiate a complaint with the governing bodies in order to receive the data required.

### "Avoid! Waste of time and money!"

When I first looked at WellnessLiving they were way too expensive. They call me to tell me they have drastically dropped their prices so I met with them and it seemed like a good fit. I met once with an onboarding specialist and she told me to log into my account with the login info given to me in an email and gave me her contact info, did a short demo and gave me some homework to do to set up the system on the back end in my account before our next session. After our meeting I try to login and I cannot get into my account. I quickly learn that they extremely poor customer service. I email the onboarding specialist and it takes her over 36 hours to reply and then says she doesn't regularly check the email she gave me during our 1st call. When I tried to call her and tech support, no one answered the phone. I have asked that they refund 4 days ago because I haven't used their service nor do I want to because their customer service is so poor. No response in 4 days! Avoid!!

Pros

Unsure because I never got to use it as I couldn't get into my account.

Cons

Lack of customer service and professionalism Being billed for a service I haven't used and no one returns calls or emails

Amazing! Moving to WellnessLiving was a real game changer for us - both in our onsite locations and for our virtual offering.

Pros

The ease of use, for both our members and our staff. It is extremely easy to work with, even for those that are not very tech savvy, and if you have a question the Support team is always there to help and they generally reply with a video so you know exactly what to do! I really like that videos, marketing, etc., are all a part of the software and do not rely on third party subscriptions and integrations. I also appreciate that they are open to enhancement suggestions from their users.

Cons

Nothing. I really appreciate everything they offer and that they are open to improvement suggestions as well.

A++ The stand out experience is with WL customer support. We know WL is are a living, growing, platform and things are not always perfect. But anytime we have an issue the team leaps into action and helps solve the problems and has a system in place to report any issue to evlivate to DEV Opt team.

Pros

Customer service is stellar and in real time which is very important for our client care and keeping our business moving forward.

Cons

Links are a bit buggy for client who use WL at other businesses. This is mostly when you use a link on a mobile phone for a class or event we are marketing. I would also like to be able to generate a link to a day and time, Trainer. Currently it links for services only generate to all.

After 15 years of loyalty and someone who is an Industry leader in Pilates promoting MBO to our industry we felt MBO only cared about their Enterprise brands. Their customer service tanked and the system is super buggy with a lot of patches and API partners that do not run smoothy. They also marketing directly to our clients in the pandemic to undercut our offerings to sell their branded virtual direct services.

### "Don't do it!"

It has been the worst experience, and still ongoing, seeing as they refuse to cancel my subscription, then lie and tell me I am on a contract, even though I have been with them for over 18 months.Save yourself the headache and go with anyone else.

Pros

Sales team - they have a really good sales team, but DO NOT believe them!

Cons

1\. Customer support is barely there, rarely helpful - if you have an issue, good luck getting it resolved.2. Departments don't communicate with each other - Advise support to change billing address, still gets sent to wrong address.3. Partner program is a lie. Do not expect to get paid for referring other businesses.4. They will NOT let you cancel your subscription - once you decide to leave them, they try to convince you to stay, then refuse to let you go and lie to you.

Unfortunately, this resulted in several checks being sent to your previous address before we could address the issue and ensure that you received the several hundred dollars in Partner Program payments you were owed. Wellness Living is easy to use and offers wonderful customer service. \[sensitive content hidden\] was one of the most exceptional customer service representatives I have spoken with. He recently assisted me with some issues and went above and beyond to understand and assist me.

Pros

We switched from Mindbody to Wellness Living 3 years ago because WL was a friend to small businesses unlike Mindbody with its one size one price fits all approach. Three years ago Wellness Living understood small businesses had different needs than big studios and wasn't forcing us to spend money on services we didn't need. However, the past year and a half this is beginning to change at Wellness Living.

Cons

Every year the price goes up SIGNIFICANTLY and it unfortunately feels more similar to Mindbody's approach.

The staff is their asset. The support is really great and you feel they are very comfortable when they talk to you and support you.

Cons

They do not consider complains from the first time unless few people/users raise the flag with the same issue then they would consider that complain and start working on it.

We offer substantial Help Center resources for our customers like the Knowledge Base (1000+ articles) and the Community Forum, but sometimes you'll have a question where you want to get an answer right away and there's no substitute for having a knowledge and savvy agent at the ready when you need it. I'd like to clarify on the part where you mentioned issues with the software. We provide immediate assistance to every customer inquiry, be it a question, an issue or even a complaint on how the software works. The way our process works is simple: you bring it to our support team, and we provide solutions based on your business needs and the use case. More often than not there's a setting in the backend or a way to it set it up differently which is exactly the type of thing our support team likes to help with. Frequently, we also get customer requests to enhance the software by adding or improving on certain features. ### "Good Ideas - TERRIBLE Execution"

From the start I had red flags that I ignored. For example, I went to someone else's website to check out how they used WL. Then I "tried" to go to WL's main website and I kept getting redirected back to the website I had visited. This software did NOT make running my biz easier, I had so many procedures on how to do simple things like matching our daily deposits to the reports from WL b/c nothing was accurate. Updates, OMG, nightmares - whether it was poor design, poor testing b/f rolling out, poor programming or all of the above, I don't know but the number of times they broke (and continue to do so, I left 2 yrs ago) is amazing to me. What caused me to leave was one of these updates. They broke their recurring class booking - the system would REBOOK clients into classes they'd been removed from. Not only were we accused of doing this ourselves (you physically cannot book a client into a past class), I was told no less than 6 different times this was fixed just to prove it hadn't been. This caused us so much time & money b/c the only way to get rid of the rebookings, was to manually delete each one by hand. They had no way to do this for us. Now for the ugly truth - WL tries to say they're all about positivity (rainbows & kittens) but IMO they are a toxic company. They constantly blame their customers for issues found until you can prove it's their software. They never look at the issue first, always the end user. When I finally left, they BEGGED me to stay - told me they'd fix my issue (this was at least 3x of the 6 they told me it was fixed) and once they realized I was a lost cause, they threw up every roadblock possible. They told me they didn't know how to get my cc data b/c they never had clients leave (whatever...) and stonewalled me for MONTHS! I did finally get my data but only once I got the \[sensitive content hidden\] involved. Like what company requires you to get the \[sensitive content hidden\] of a company involved to cancel? A toxic one Stay away - it's been 2 yrs since I left and I still hear from clients about how to leave b/c they aren't able to reach anyone or are getting stonewalled.

Pros

Pretty colors and design, good concepts/ideas. There are a lot of things to like about WL conceptually. You can book clients into classes ongoing, you can link family members and have a single payment method. They offer events, discounts, gift cards, SMS communication (new) and so much more. But - read the rest of my review please

Cons

I was with WL for 5 yrs - multiple times a year, I'd even argue every single update, they would break the software. Sometimes it was minor, lots of times it was MAJOR! Every 6 weeks we'd have to brace for an update and figure out what got broken. Sometimes it wasn't even related to the update that was rolled out, their programmers just mucked stuff up. End users were beta testers. God forbid you have an issue, you'll be required to screen shot, video whatever was happening. Oh and don't forget to clear your cache...

### "I have used plenty of types, and wellness living is good"

The onboarding was a bit difficult even with a dedicated person to get you set up. They show you how everything works, but it's before you are actually using the software. Once the software is implemented, it's hard to remember everything and your dedicated onboarding guy is no longer there to help. So each issue goes to the service team. Overall things work the way they should and the software is great for most of what we need for our business. you can message and text clients through it, handle billing, and alot more.

Pros

The customer service is usually right on trying their best to help or point you to the right answer.

Cons

Some features like attendance tracking, do not work the way I expected and has been a pain, but all the other aspects of it are nice.

### "I am so sorry I ever used them"

My biggest issue with this company is that their software really doesn't work. When I signed on with them in October 2022 they were okay, but recently I have discovered so many issues and when I try to get help with them, they don't really take accountability and instead try to push the problem back to you, when it isn't a user error. For example I did a promo where the first month of membership was discounted, but the bug discounted those people for months until I changed it. I lost a few thousand dollars from that. Then when I told customer service they directed me on how to do that promo, but I applied the promo right it just doesn't work. The worst part was when I cancelled, they charged me an "early cancellation fee" basically their contract renews in July and you're hooked in for a year, every year. I understand requiring commitment for your first year but I when I expressed that was unfair they were just like "well you signed the contract" so it's okay to put ridiculous things in your contract and hide behind it? So I was charged my early cancellation fee of $1000 plus $500 for my own data transfer plus and extra month out of nowhere that they said they would return but have not done so. Now they are dragging their feet (we're 3 weeks in) on the data transfer, but decided to push through the cancellation before that was done! So now I have no data and no new software, and no old software. I tried to contact my rep but the day she's cancelling me she's actually impossible to reach. Once they took me for all I'm worth they don't care about me anymore. Also, for several weeks we couldn't even download my app onto Android, I lost several customers this way. I would strongly advise against using Wellness Living. They sell you a cool slick software but it's a dinosaur with broken legs.

Any business owner would be a fool not to take a look at their offering. After 5 years, they continue to be the standard by which I gauge any other CRM platforms that try to win my business and network.

Recently speaking it is becoming difficult to get support on the phone. This is a first in the 5+ years that i have been with WL.

After a ton of reserach, we decided to dump Mindbody 2 yrs ago & go with Wellness Living as it was more affordable & had more options available as part of the basic plan to help our business. After covid we needed to cut our expenses. Everything was an extra charge with Mindbody. We love Wellness Living & all the many extra features available for us for much less than Mindbody.

Pros

We love that we have our own branded app! Everything is set up to make reserving classes, purchasing memberships, canceling reservations, & checking their schedules so easy since they can do everything directly on their phones.

Cons

We would like the option to have a longer reservation window (2weeks out) for our higher tiered membership.

It has all the features of leading providers, but it is priced more competitively. Also, I feel that you get a real partner in Wellness Living. They want to meet the customers need. Also, Ade from customer service is a great rep who helped us through a rough patch in the business. Lots of very good people at this company who really care.

Sometimes you get duplicate customer data, and the automatic billing can be confusing
