Great experience. Easy to use. Works quickly. Affordable. Also, it's nice that you can adjust the number of orders you'd like to have reviewed which helps with seasonality.

Pros

Very easy to use. Just read reviews that customer make and make a comment as a response. Also, good flexibility with options.

Cons

To opt out of having a review go live you have to log into the website, you can't just select that from the emails they send.

I had a really great experience with Yotpo in the beginning. Their integration was easy and the analytics were great.

Pros

Yotpo was very easy to implement and I liked that it integrated with the rest of my marketing stack. It was also very affordable for the size of the company we were at the time.

Cons

Soon after I integrated most of my marketing stack over to Yotpo, they started sunsetting things. First, it was subscriptions, then email/SMS. I started using Yotpo because it was an all-in-one, and this ended up forcing me to leave to find a better solution for all of the above.

It's fine. If you need a reviews platform with decent UGC tools and want something that plays nicely with Shopify, it gets the job done. But if you're expecting a true all-in-one that replaces your ESP or a proper loyalty program, it falls short.

Pros

Reviews and UGC collection works well out of the box. The Shopify integration is clean and the on-site display widgets are easy to set up. Having reviews, loyalty, and SMS under one roof is appealing on paper, and the review request automation is reliable.

Cons

The platform tries to do too much and doesn't fully nail any of it. SMS is not competitive with dedicated tools.

Positive, though was spending far too much. Then covid hit and they brought their entry prices down dramatically. Staff were really helpful. It's really good software. It gets you reviews.

The software works really well. The support is good. It's probably the best out there on the market.

The cost, and the language issue. (Not being able to translate)

Cons

Other apps started getting more features and just overall looked better. I believe if i remember correct Yotpo pricing started increasing a lot too compared to others

Yotpo had a really great sales pitch, promised us the world - However during integration they duplicated points in users accounts, not as many customizations as promised, and it's super expensive

Pros

The reporting was very efficient, you could drill down into a customer portfolio and see all the earned/spent points at any given time. You have the ability to pull multiple variations of reports

It is extremely expensive, they promised the world and really underdelivered. We were not able to customize like they said in sales pitch.

We integrated with a custom e-commerce and website platform which had its challenges. We also had issues with international markets as some of the copy which appears on site is hard coded in English. However, after lots more back and forth than expected we were able to get the refer a friend scheme live.

Easy to set up (particularly if integrated with Shopify) Good availability of customer support (though the actual support was a bit hit and miss) Good core functionality

Basic editor for on-site pop-ups Limited reporting functionality Awkward to integrate with e-commerce platforms which aren't Shopify Can't generate test emails populated with dynamic data - have to put through a live order instead to see the whole journey

Overall we enjoy using yotpo, we have yet to find another company that beats the price and offers everything that yotpo does. This is a daily/weekly tool that we use, and crucial to our review and ratings on our website. Creates an easy trust worthy face for your company.

Pros

Yotpo customer service/support is top notch, helps problem solve and helps build flows and will check your work to ensure it shows on the customers end the way you want it to. Lots of customization tools that work for any business big or small. Easy review/question widgets, these can be added almost anywhere on your website. Integration to shopify is seamless, easy to navigate. customer segments are easy to create to send SMS/email marketing to a curated set group is made super simple, and easy. Scheduling marketing sms or email is seamless and easy to understand. yearly and annual reviews with your account manager to ensure you are getting enough out of yotpo compared to what you are putting in, also helps ensure that you are using all that yotpo offers that you are already paying for. You can pick which reviews hit your website and if one is bad and needs further escalation it will let you reach out to the reviewer by email to solve the issue and ask them to re-review.

Cons

sometimes there is a slow load times when switching through product features, i like to think that yotpo is holding so much of our store data and analytics that it takes a minute to open a new page within yotpo. this is not a huge con but has made certain tasks longer.

I wanted to install yotpo on my shopify store, and play with it for 2 weeks before I wanted to commit to it, but i was not able to find a trial plan for it.

Pros

It promises to be super easy to install on my shopify store in order to start collecting reviews. I do like the idea that it can be customized, and can coordinate with marketing tools (like if i wanted to send an sms or email marekting blast).

Cons

I think that it's expensive. a price of $79 for only 500 orders is a bit high, there are other tools that do exactly the same thing for less, I would have preferred a "starter" version or even a trial version.

### "The best platform for collecting customer reviews"

An excellent resource for reviews, questions, and weekly/monthly summaries. User-friendly and navigable. Early on, the company encountered a few issues, but they were swiftly resolved. It is beneficial to moderate online reviews and responds to meeting customers' needs. I recommend this e-commerce tool.

Pros

We have significantly increased the number of reviews with Yotpo. We have a lot of product reviews, not only for marketing but also for the benefit of our customers. They are currently used in advertising, social media, email marketing, and other areas. Due to the large number of SKUs, it was difficult to collect reviews for products other than our most popular. The most useful feature of Yotpo is how easily it integrates with your website and provides customers with a widget to leave product reviews or ask questions. The benefit is that all reviews are available for moderation in one location. It is also useful to be able to comment directly to consumers, add tags as needed, and keep a summary of all reviews and questions. It is simple to find exactly what you are looking for, whether by product name, number of stars, email addresses, or other criteria.

Cons

I dislike that once I schedule a campaign with a specific segmentation, the segment's subscribers are locked in, and the campaign does not automatically refresh as the segment changes. This makes sending weekend campaigns difficult because I must wait until the night before to schedule the campaign and ensure that the segmentation is up to date. This also prevents me from sending emails in my preferred time zone.

### "Not suitable for small business owners"

Pros

It's easy to use and doesn't need much hands-on.

Cons

Most of its feature are locked between different tiers, a weird business model for a modern SaaS platform. The main reason for writing this review is that they lure you as a user, to select higher tiers to be able to use these functions and/or features. For example, the plan I picked include coupons functionality. Its use include to send out coupons to customers in order to get them to review products and give them a rebate if they do so. Something I thought was great. However, the one feature I wanted to use with coupons was locked behind a different plan (tier). Something which was not indicated on their comparison. I signed up, only to realize this. I asked for a refund and Yotpo decided that I was not eligible for a refund due to that this information was listed on a whole different page? How is that a valid reason? Include such information in the comparison list. There's nothing that indicates that the feature listed can be behind a different paywall. Another bad feature is the localization. For example; they capitalize every word even in languages that doesn't do that so the UX looks really weird in a language which is not English.

Overall, the platform has been pretty great. Our biggest gripe would be in the pricing. As a small business it is incredibly hard to have all of the important things (like a review platform) we need to be successful and also drive the kind of revenue we need to be sustainable. Every service costs money and it adds up quick. Most services are not small business focused as they get a lot more money from enterprise packages, which is unfortunate us little guys. Yotpo does offer growth packages, but they ramp up in price really quickly.

Pros

Reviews are incredibly important and Yotpo is a great platform to deliver them. They offer quite a few features in the lower priced tiers and are relatively easy to use. Yotpo is a recognized name by many consumers as a trusted reviews platform, which is a great benefit. Support has always been quick and helpful. They are a Google reviews partner, which is important to us.

Cons

The interface could be easier to navigate. The price is pretty high, but going cheaper means you may not get a platform that people know and trust.

Yotpo creates the best review app for Shopify without question. I Love the, Subscribe & Save, Reviews Features, Integrations, and most of all, the various stars at all levels, including customer-facing services. I get emailed daily by competitors and always respond, "If you can do it better than YotPo - I'm in" I have yet to consider changing services and find that working with the technical talents of YoTpo has raised my expectations too high to be emailed a 2nd time by competitors in the Shopify integration space.

Pros

1\. The people behind it the Apps 2. The technology software 3. The accreditation built over time

Cons

I wish the google integration was more affordable (The ability to see my product ratings on Google Search). To pay several hundred per month for that feature is a bummer; that's not a software glitch, that's more of a Google is ripping Yotpo Off glitch & Yotpo has to cover their costs - I am but a humble business who donates processed and thus wants ALL the features for less :)

Pros

It it a great software since it comes with sms marketing. If offers integration with email marketing. So the brands can do Omni channel marketing with yotpo alone

Cons

The Yotpo rewards free program is just for show. There are barely any features in it. Any brand would like to explore the free plan, see how the app is performing before making a commitment to switch to a paid plan. They don't offer anything in free plan making it tough to decide. The widget in free plan is not at all appealing

Our overall experience using Yotpo has been great. It has helped us to engage our customers, collect nearly 500 reviews, and showcase them to help drive future purchases.

Pros

The Yotpo platform is easy to use, and makes collecting and managing reviews pretty seamless. I also love how our Yotpo account manager makes improvement suggestions, and offers to implement them on our behalf. The support team at Yotpo is also very helpful, especially for a SMB like ours that doesn't always have a developer available to make a change. They are quick to reply and incredibly helpful in implementing changes.

Cons

I wish it were easier to customize aesthetic without requiring developer or support assistance.

The Yotpo integration with Shopify greatly improved conversion on my company's product pages. Not only did our reviews show the popularity of our products, but many customers wrote detailed stories of how they connected deeply to their product. This added another dimension to the product page! Through Yotpo, we were also able to search through all of the reviews and add our favorites to landing pages, post-sale emails and social media posts. This user-generated content built trust with our customers and enabled us to show off how relational our company was! The platform is easy to use and the appearance can be modified to fit seamlessly with your website theme. Automated and customizable emails make it easy to gather reviews for your website, and you can choose which ones are displayed on your website. Simple - and worth every dollar!

Pros

Simplicity in integration with Shopify. Customizable design on the website. Improves conversions on the product page. Great to publish reviews directly to Twitter & Facebook or turn into paid ad content.

Cons

The search function within the back end is faulty sometimes.

Pros

We have been using these guys since they started.. so got real lucky on the pricing. It has really helped our customers have trust in our company due to seeing 'real' customer reviews of our services and products.

Cons

Only con to be honest.. is they have added features but as we had there original top package at a silly cheap price we are not allowed the new feature unless we change to the new plans. It's a fair point as the price far outweighs the features.
