Time To Pet's automated confirmations and invoicing system have freed much of my time and allowed me a more hassle-free experience with running my day-to-day operations. The integration with QuickBooks allows me painless bookkeeping and the reports show me exactly where money is coming and going so I can get a better handle on my business. I no longer worry about my staff not being notified about a change to their schedule or their pay being correct. Overall TTP has saved my company so much time and allows us to create a better customer experience, improving the quality of care we offer.

Pros

Its easy to transfer your client lists from previous software and customer support are there to help any time you need. The integration is pretty seamless and TTP has a lot more functionality than some of the older applications. I've been using various pet sit software since 2010, and TTP is far superior on so many levels. The Portal is easily customizable, allowing you a great deal of freedom in creating your business concept.I love that clients cannot schedule without the required fields or vaccinations of my choosing. GPS reports are customizable for different types of visits, and SMS notifications allow clients, sitters, or managers to access important messages all at once, without any back tracking or privacy invasion.

Cons

I would love it Time To Pet used barcoding for keys since it's difficult to search for keys unless you create a customizable field every time you search, being the default search function in TTP is for Names only. Having a larger company makes it easier to track keys using a barcoding system since we have a lot of clients and pets with the same names. I also do care for the view when you are looking at a clients schedule. It looks a bit clunky and is not ordered correctly, so you have to sift through pages of scheules sometimes. A simple calendar view would be more appealing and easier to spot inconsistencies. Lastly, there is no designation for species when adding vaccination requirements, so if you look after exotic pets and require vaccines, they won't be allowed to schedule services. Disabling this feature will not require vaccine records so they have to be manually added with every new pet.

Pros

As the owner of AllCompanion Pet Care, Time To Pet has truly transformed the day-to-day operations of my business. It’s simplified, organized, and streamlined everything, giving me peace of mind knowing that all aspects of my business are centralized in one place. My clients love the transparency it offers, from clear invoicing to seamless scheduling and real-time communication through the portal and app. Both are incredibly user-friendly, making it easy for me to build strong relationships with clients. Some of my favorite features are the QuickBooks integration, the scheduling tool, and the report cards. Time To Pet is full of fantastic tools that have made my business more efficient and my clients happier!

Cons

It's honestly difficult to pinpoint any real cons with Time To Pet. After switching from another pet sitting/dog walking software, I've been able to find everything I need over time. They’ve clearly thought through a lot of the details. That said, I do wish there was an easier way to mark off holiday weeks. It would also be great to have a client-facing board where I could post updates and announcements, so clients can check for important information on their own. Currently, email is the primary method, and since some clients opt out of receiving emails, they may miss key updates. Aside from that (and even considering that), Time To Pet has been fantastic!

Awful. I wish I could get a refund for all of the months I paid for their software while they failed to do the one thing the website was designed to do, notify me of new requests.

Pros

Nothing that I can think of, honestly. I really did not like this software at all. I was extremely disappointed as it did not do its job.

Cons

I received multiple new prospective client requests, but time to pet failed to notify me of them. All of my notifications were turned on so I should have received some sort of notification, but I received nothing. Not via email nor on the app. I only noticed the requests when I happened to log into the website on my laptop and noticed a notification icon in the top corner. By that point, two months had already passed since those requests had been submitted. This is devastating as a new business owner to learn that I missed out on several new clients due to the failure of a software that I was paying $25/month for. Use at your own risk.

Pros

Time To Pet saves me so much time running my business. It has a ton of features all in one system, so I don't have to switch between multiple platforms. I can keep track of client/pet data, communicate with clients and staff internally and do all of my invoicing in Time To Pet. Scheduling is a breeze and frees up time for me grow my business. I also love that Time To Pet is continuously adding new features.

Time To Pet offers so many features, so there was a learning curve at first. Well worth the investment.

My overall experience is 10/10! I've saved myself 10 hours of administrative work with Time To Pet and my only regret is not signing up when the read the first article about it. It mirrors a level of professional to clients and gives them confidence knowing I'll be there for their pets when I say I will. It also allows my business to be transparent with policies and contracts which is extremely valuable.

Pros

One of the most important things to me was to be able to have once central place for my clients to do everything - review & sign a contract, complete care instructions, schedule services, pay their invoice and communciate. After trying to do some of these tasks in one product and other tasks in another product and maybe even have some handwritten notes, I felt too chaotic (and it's just me!). There are some features within each of those tasks I love that I can truly tailor the software to work for my business, to reflect us in many ways from branding to how we offer service timeframes, to automatically charging holiday fees and cancellation fees. If I have to choose my favorite features, they are the ease of scheduling for trips and the ability for customers to sign contracts.

Cons

Integrating with my existing business processes was seamless, plus the onboarding checklist points out businesses processes I could add or improve on. The product can be overwhelming at first because there are so many features to set up, but I feel each feature is important to explore to see if it needs to be implemented for the business. The onboarding made me take a look at my processes and find gaps, so that was an unexpected bonus. Two features I feel could be improved are reminders and texting. Currently reminders to clients (I remind them about upcoming services and invoices due) can be scheduled but I would like to see them automated. I previously used Square for invoicing and I loved how I could set up reminders in that platform. Texting is a feature however there is a limit to the number of texts that can be used before an additional charge and recently the charge increased. I do not like this limit or additional charge for a couple reasons: TTP is already the most expensive software and an additional charge is over the top to me; the "workarounds" are emails (emails get lost by clients or they just don't read & clients have the ability to unsubscribe!) and push notifications via the mobile app (the items that cause a push notification are few and I do not like feeling like i have to force my clients to download an app just for pet sitting visits for their 2x/year vacations).

The features were everything I needed as a solo sitter and more, plus having the ability to scale to a team model was important to me.

I have loved every moment with Time to Pet! Since the very beginning when I attended a free demonstration to being a user for about a year it's been great. Everything I need for my pet sitting service has been thought of and if I ever have any issues their team is johnny on the spot to answer and help me out. Cannot recommend this software enough!!

Time to Pet is easy to use. When I was working for a pet care company, we used this software for the five years I was there. Access to client information was simple as well as schedule completion. I also used some of the admin side of things when I was testing it for my personal company. I chose a different software instead that’s affordable and has great customer service.

Pros

Profile customization and streamed onboarding process.

Cons

Cost for additional users was high at $15/mo per person. It’s essential to keep overhead costs low for us to continue paying our contractors their fair wages. Time to Pet doesn’t have enough additional features to justify those costs compared to other products.

Time to Pet has been a fantastic addition to our business operations, improving the staff and customer experience so much that it has been one of the most valuable business decisions made in our 19 years in the industry.

Pros

The ease and speed of use for our customers and the office staff is unmatched.

Cons

The software has so many features which make it flexible to set up for different ways of running your business but this leaves some features needing more development and others which are overdeveloped and never used. Reporting can be improved and simplified as could the mass emailer.

Increased communication with staff and customers, visibility into staff work behaviors, GPS location tracking, paper reduction, lower postage costs, audit history which has provided proof when customers questioned the services they were provided, integration with QuickBooks Online, electronic payment processing, email campaigns/bulk messaging, and much more!

Pros

My customers use it and love it! There's something for everyone: email capture for those who prefer email for simple email communications, a customer portal for the online users, and a smartphone app for the trendiest of our clients who want instant access. Our walkers/pet sitters love it! The smartphone app puts client information at their fingertips and gives them instant access to GPS for directions to the next house. Customizable visit reports allow staff to provide a good deal of feedback to customers with very little effort. Office staff love it! We have full visibility to customer requests and data updates, as well as walker locations and their communications with customers. Client service requests and electronic payments reduce workload. Management loves it! Integration with QuickBooks eliminates double entry, and client payment processing and bulk invoicing reduce workload. Reports provide insight into the business. Time to Pet is truly the core of our business.

Cons

Applying a single check to multiple invoices could be more straightforward. If not caught immediately, errors resulting from improper data entry must be corrected in both TTP and QuickBooks. TTP Support has acknowledged the issue and plans to address it in a future release. Data extracts are limited to what is predefined by TTP. I would love the ability to query data directly into Excel to build the more complex reports I need. The built-in staff scheduling features are a bit too basic for my needs, so I use a free third-party product to allow staff to manage their availability and time off requests. This means that unless I replicate their work shifts in TTP manually, I risk making scheduling errors (which I have) and cause last-minute scrambling to fill gaps that could have been avoided. Payroll functionality is too simple for my business. I use Intuit Payroll, and although TTP enables me to extract data needed for payroll, it is a time consuming biweekly effort.

Time to Pet has extensive settings and options so that you can perfectly customize your portal for your business. I find scheduling to be very easy & convenient. They are always adding updates to improve the app & customer/client experience. You can find almost any answer about the software in their help section, it has helpful articles and often times a short informational video. TTP really seems to care about their customers & their experience.

Cons

My clients sometimes have difficulties with invoicing & tipping, but we're often able to sort out the issue easily.

It keeps us running smoothly with very little office support needed!

Pros

It is VERY customizable and allows users to create profile questions and fields, and determine which are mandatory for new clients to answer. Searching and pulling reports is very easy, and our pet sitters love having access to all of their clients on the app, which is amazing! The conversation feature is great as well, and allows us in the office to be included in conversations between pet sitters and clients, and chime in where needed. Can easily see where keys are located, and even has fun features like pet birthday reports, so we can reach out to clients to wish their pets happy birthday. Many clients choose to keep their credit card on file, and running charges is quick and easy.

Cons

Once you set up a template, you can bulk edit most of the details in it, except for the frequency. For example, if someone gets walks Mondays and Wednesdays, and decides to add Tuesdays, I can't open the original template and just check "Tuesday" to add it to the template. I have to create a new service for just that one day. I don't like that I can't require credit cards on file for just NEW clients, it's either all clients or none.

Unreal customer service. Issues few and far between, and when they arise are resolved so quickly. They really listen to their clientele.

Pros

My number one favorite thing about this software is that it does 100 jobs in one spot that I only now oversee vs. doing myself. It’s like a personal assistant. My clients love it as much as I do!

Cons

The ONLY downside I have found so far is that it is made for single pet or single household services. Every other part is flexible— but if I want to book multiple people for one time slot or change their price for the day, I have to use a round about method. Pales in comparison to ally of the upsides though.

The main thing that makes Time To Pet stand out from their competition is that they are constantly taking suggestions from their users and implementing improvements. As long as they keep this up they will continue to be leagues ahead of the other options available!

Pros

Time To Pet comes the closest to automating every aspect of running a pet care company and yet still manages to offer so many ways to customize it to your specific services. Your customers can use the app to request services and your administrators and/or your care providers can approve those requests. Schedules and invoices are ridiculously easy to email out as needed. Communication with your customers and your team are a breeze. It even synchs with Quickbooks to simplify your bookkeeping. I don't know how anyone runs a pet care service without it!

Cons

The only hiccup I've run into so far is that Time To Pet is not able to differentiate between the different types of pets when setting up billing for extra pets. For example, we bill extra for walking any additional dogs more than two. If the customer also has a cat in their profile, the system will still charge the extra fee since it is not able to tell that the third pet is not a dog and thus does not need to be walked.

I love more features about this product than I can think of at this time! I love the ability to cover all aspects of my business (scheduling, invoicing and conversation/reports) in one place. I love the responsiveness of the TTP team when I have a question and I love the ease it provides my Customers. It serves as a good professional aspect to prospective clients as well.

Cons

Occassionally there is a feauture I wuld like that would be helpful. But these are minute compared to what is offered.

Great features, a professional looking app which is very reliable, and support which is second to none - quick, friendly and they always strive to answer any issues first time.

Cons

I haver everything I need on this package and cannot think of anything I would add. If I did, I know that they listen and consider adding. During my time with them (1-2 years) they regularly putout updates with new features most of which you can chose to use / activate, or if not relevant to how you run your business, you just don't use it, or consider adding it as you didn't realize you needed it!

Reason for choosing Time To Pet

I was looking initially for a software package which looked cleaner and crisper, with a reliable payment facility built in so I could take payments, and one which integrates with Quickbooks.

Time to Pet has helped me grow my business and excel in customer service. The program encourages communication between our customers and our staff. My experience is excellent.

Pros

One of the first priorities when I set up MGB Pet Sitters, LLC was to research, test, try-out free, and decide on a scheduling program. I'm not a high tech person so it had to be easy to install, set-up, and use. I tried four programs. Time to Pet met all my expectations. TTP has grown with the industry; updates are helpful and increase our effectiveness in customer service. The best reason to by Time to Pet is the company leadership and support staff. When you send a question or problem the answer is promised in one day but usually arrives within a few hours. And the answer is always on point. I'm happy to recommend this software to everyone in the pet care business.

Cons

Any issues I had have been addressed. The knowledge base articles have helped me with a few things I did not understand.

My overall experience has been excellent. I don't know what I would do without this software.

Pros

Functions apply to real-life situations. Some functions implemented that aren't just for scheduling and pet information tracking, such as pet-sitting client feedback. Always adding features based on Time to Pet client feedback. Timely response to questions I have.

Cons

There isn't anything that I like least about the software. There is a bit of a learning curve, but you have that with any software. I have mentioned features that would be of use to me to put on the list of possible updates. A lot of the new features don't apply to small companies like mine where I work by myself and don't have employees or IC's. However, I understand and respect the time it takes to program new features to implement and that priority has to be given to where the most need is based on client feedback.

Overall, my experience with TTP has been positive, and not once have I thought about leaving for a competitor.

Pros

I have used TTP for most of my business years. It's a one-stop shop for me and my clients. What I like the most is that the customer service is always available and super knowledgeable. They are always doing updates to better the app's performance!

Cons

The price is higher than some of the others.

Absolutely wonderful. Game changer.

Pros

We LOVE Time to Pet. We implemented this software in 2016 and it literally changed the entire way we do business. We tried a few other pet care software systems before TTP, and there was really no comparison. Not to mention the team is really incredible, helpful, and attentive to everyone's needs.

Cons

There isn't much, honestly. Anything we've "needed" or have been lacking in the software, TTP has been extremely quick to take it into consideration and made adaptations to our needs, or help us understand how we can make the software better work for our systems.
