It has been a great experience! At first I was hesitant, but once I made the switch it made it so much easier to stop emailing photos to parents, writing down reports and having it all nicely in one application completely digitalized.

Pros

I like how it provides a simplified application that is helpful for both parents and teachers alike.

Cons

It took a while to get used to the application after switching from paper to digital reports.

Pros

I like the interface, it’s easy to navigate and view all areas I need to see. Straightforward and clean.

Cons

If you only have one child I would prefer to not have to click into that child.

It was easy to set up and use! The parents and staff in our center also found it easy to use and enjoyed sharing information in this way!

Initially was happy, felt they took experienced prodivers thoughts into consideration. However, the more they grew we were just peons.

Cons

Not being able to use the same email for staff that have signed up through other centers. It's inconvenient! Not being able to change admin messages to alerts.

Brightwheel is great to use to track the daily happenings with my child and offer updates for other families.

Pros

The ease of use remains the most important. I also like the wide range of uses it has, which prior I was unaware it had so many varying options. Videos, pictures, chats, logging times of events, etc.

Cons

i can not think of any cons at this time. I love Brightwheel and all the things I can do with it. It makes my day go by easier knowing my child's happenings.

The best part of alot of my days are when I receive the Brightwheel notification that there are pictures of my kid to be viewed in Brightwheel. My wife and I immediately message each other and talk about the fun he's having in the pictures.

Pros

Every day I get pictures of my pre-schooler in Brightwheel. It's also excellent as a means of communicating with his school.

Cons

The check-in/check-out can be a bit wonky if you don't have great reception.

Brightwheel is an online system that allows daycares to communicate with parents, send photos, and updates. It’s used as an app on your phone and is very conformant to use.

It can be expensive for schools and daycares to purchase and execute.

Our overall experience with Brightwheel was great! It's easy to setup and use and is great for daily communication from the teacher.

Pros

It is a great hub for all communication from your child's teacher. The teacher can send reminders, updates, and even photos from the day. You can easily view and download the photos onto your own device as well!

Cons

Digitally signing your child in and out works well, however, you are given a four digit code that you have to remember after scanning the QR code. This code doesn't change, however, for a parent who doesn't do the primary drop offs and pickups, I found myself struggling to remember the code at times.

I am so excited that I found brightwheel and have had the best experiences using it and sharing it with my families.

Pros

I like every feature. From attendance, payment options, documents, menus, curriculum options. The ease of use and set up. Customer service was so helpful when getting started, they have great step by step tutorials if you need, or can talk to someone live, and they were so informative and friendly.

Cons

Only thing I can say bad is that I wish I would have had this years ago.

Very user friendly, messaging app was quick, photos came through wonderfully. Payment system simple. Nice reporting system for taxes end of the year

Overall, my experience with brightwheel was exactly what I needed it to be. It was easy to use for staff and families and allowed us to cut down on a lot of pen to paper documents.

Pros

As a childcare center, Brightwheel offered an easy way to keep track of all required documentation, as well as parent contact, in an easy to use format.

Cons

For us, the only con was the price. While it is a competitive price with other programs of the same product, we were able to find a cheaper option that we are extremely happy with.
