Prices has risen but service and functionality has dropped. The software started randomly switching our timezones which played havoc with synched calendar leading to double booking. Despite reaching out to "help" multiple times over the past 6 weeks no one can provide an answer. Only responding with "we'll get back to you", which they don't. Additionally, the capability for us to synch with Google calendars is down and has been over a month meaning my trainers using Google calendar cannot use PT Minder in their Google calendars. This means a whole bunch of double handing and double booking costing us heaps. Pros Reporting capability. I chose PT Minder because of the ability to extract reports. Also the ability to book groups for SPT Cons Quality has dropped substantially in recent times. Constant glitches with timezones. Currently cannot synch to Google Calendar. I can tell that a lot of thought and effort has been put into it and it does what is designed to do very well. Our personal fitness business is 100% virtual, and this app has a streamlined our business model allowing us to scale like never before. Cons Still has some minor bugs and room for improvement. You have to pay a monthly fee plus they take a commission from every payment a client makes through the system which gets VERY expensive. Also you have to pay extra for everything eg text reminders, customised app... The basic app can still be used without an extra charge but it's ugly and not customisable. Pros Multiple billing options (paypal, stripe, etc.)/scheduling for both PT and Group Classes/extensive reporting/Massive customization from the admin end/app development and support is 5-star and was done within 2 weeks (and during the Christmas holiday--wow!) Tech support is very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Cons No real way streamlined of adding facilities for outside contractors to book (such as clinicians or freelance personal trainers) Reasons for choosing PTminder Basically came down to features, the fact that it is primarily a PT-based software (at least to me), and someone actually called me to walk me through the software trial. I ended up switching to Trainerize as my online personal training tool for the cost and because it is a Canadian based company. PTMinder although may not have all of the bells and whistles that other gym/pt software have but their support is fantastic and the 24/7 online help has been invaluable for me as a gym owner. The fact that they are constantly adding to their service is another bonus and I look forward to seeing how PTMinder continues to evolve. Pros Excellent value for money, 24/7 online support!! regular updates, good value for money. The online support is fantastic. Cons Calendar booking is a little clunky and would benefit from a feature that allows bulk actions in the calendar. The transaction and invoice linking could be more streamlined and the option to record outgoing, and incoming communication that you have had with specific clients in their member profile would be beneficial.
