Senior V.P, Oil & Energy Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Simplify your OHS Management System" May 17, 2022 5.0 3 years ago our company set up and began to implement a Safety Management System (OHMS) so that we could achieve COR certification with WorkSafe BC. Early on in the process, we realized that we would need a way to provide two-way communication with our workers (most of whom work remotely from our office locations) and also to record safety-related information relevant to our OHMS. Rather than try to create such a system we looked at several online, cloud-based options that could do the job for us with little or no set-up time and effort involved. Site Docs fit the bill perfectly. The templates that were immediately available to us for such things as incident reporting and investigation, site inspections, equipment inspections, risk assessments and toolbox talks enabled us to get up and running with our system quickly, efficiently and in a way that was easy for our field staff to understand and adopt into their daily work patterns. The system worked so well for us that we achieved our goal of COR certification in record time thanks, in no small part, to the ease with which our auditors were able to see our records. There is no doubt that the adoption of Site Docs into our OHMS has made us a more proactive company with respect to Safety and has helped encourage a much better safety culture among our employees. The numbers don't lie. Our rates of incidents and near misses have dramatically decreased resulting in a safer work environment and lower WCB premiums. Pros Templates for all of the major components of our OHMS such as: - Toolbox Talks Incident reporting and investigation Inspections of sites and equipment Accident investigations Risk Assessments Employee Certifications Analysis of stats Cons It would be great if the system could alert you (instant message/email) when someone has assigned a corrective action to you. Health and Safety Manager Construction Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great System! have recommended to others" August 12, 2025 4.0 Overall its been great! there are lots of companies out there that are growing this type of system, and all seem to be holding SiteDocs as their main goal to beat, which isn't a bad thing! Holding SiteDocs as the standard should be an achievement to the team. Pros The custom forms, my company has several branches that range from commercial to industrial, and the forms can't be the same. However with the customizable forms, users can navigate to applicable portions using dropdowns. I have a range of employees from 20 to 60 year old workers, all found the program easy to use and simple. I also had an audit recently and the auditor was able to log into our archive and perform the audit on documentation easily, saved a pile of time. Cons Not much to complain about, I suppose I have mentioned this to the engineering team a few times, but when signing the form, you have the opportunity to choose anyone on/off site, so I could sign off as the CEO if I wanted. An additional layer of security is lacking there. Safety Manager Construction Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Sitedocs is a simple doccumentation platform" October 8, 2025 3.0 Site docs was an adequate platform, they were about mid on value for cost (some are better some are worse), and while I prefer another platform I can see some people finding it to be ideal. Specifically if the user(s) administrating it have a low technical ability on computers or only want the simple features that it offers (no "if" functions or calculations, limited specific notifications or task assignments). The user interface makes navigating to documents forms and certifications very easy for end users in a way I haven't seen replicated as smoothly on other systems. Pros Site-docs was easy to use and had a good interface. Some features I miss compared to other platforms are repeatable segments and common lists. It was extremely easy to pull and review documents for things like audits or to send to customers. Cons The features and abilities were limited. For example while there were sections where workers could upload certificates but no ability to track outstanding certificate renewals and training matrix requirements, site analytics were not helpful in gaining insights or tracking requirements. Tracking and completing tasks created by sitedocs forms was not easy and was not able to work for us in tracking deficiency reports on equipment. We've been using SiteDocs primarily for tracking timesheets, managing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and conducting safety inspections. Overall, the platform offers a solid digital solution for companies looking to streamline their safety documentation and compliance processes. Customer service has been generally responsive, and the onboarding process was smooth. Their support materials and training resources are helpful, especially for new users. Any issues we've encountered were addressed in a timely manner. Pros Easy to use programs, great if your company is COR certified. Form creating is very easy. Mobile usability is one of the strongest features — being able to complete forms, inspections, and JHAs on-site with a smartphone or tablet is a major efficiency booster. We do come together as a group about 4 hrs into the shift but that's a lot of the day where we are distributed and Site Docs allows us to provide a cohesive safety message to everyone and keep inspection results in a central location. Being able to schedule weekly inspections and assign them to specific workers also works to ensure accountability. Having everyone's certifications and competencies in one place also makes compliance checks much easier then searching paper in a file folder. Pros Site Docs works great for our company. We have distributed crews who have staggered start times and different locations Using Site Docs allows us to get everyone on the same page with the toolbox, allows the crews to do the daily inspections of their vehicle or vessel. The inspections are logged and can be checked from the office which also allows us to check fuel states for the boats to plan fueling for the day. Being digital means there's no more lost paper. Cons It is fairly intuitive to get forms made and set up originally, but the more advanced areas of site docs or ways to improve it seems cumbersome to learn it. Review Source CE Courtney E. I can sit at my computer and find 95% of everything I need. Guys do there work and fill out all the paperwork digitally and nothing gets lost Pros SiteDocs is so user friendly and the customer support is amazing. The other thing the information is very to share. Pros I like this product the best because it was easy to roll out to the field. The operators in the field get to have say in the forms we created making these documents theirs. Then they take owner ship. Cons When we first got SiteDocs it was being set up trial and error to see what worked best for our company and now all the forms are still visible. I would like it if there was a feature to archive old forms that will never be used again. The same with employees if you make a mistake setting up and employee they are forever there. Organization of all the documents and easy of use have improved efficiently along with the quality of reporting that employees do daily. If a feature does not yet exist, the developers have been very receptive to feedback to make it meet the needs of the end user! I primarily use if for uploading company specific resources that can be viewed in real-time by all of the assigned users. It is also how we track employee training (dates & certificates), varying audits (in-house, client, DEQ+), good catches/shared learnings, safety meeting topics & attendance (& who needs caught up by filtering & checking), & with the latest feature of editing how the menu is viewed based on location, I can allow certain documents to be the primary options for the the departments that they serve (so they are not spending field time sifting through every resource & form I have ever uploaded or created). In addition, we customize fillable forms to meet the need of the department (& can make real-time changes based on feedback). We have Project Managers who use it, HR who can reference it, Quality who performs audits on it, Division Managers & Supervisors from our Ironworking, Maintenance, Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings, & Overhead Dock & Door Divisions that utilize it, the Employee Development Manager who can initiate orientations on it, & the Safety Department who has relied on it the heaviest for the longest. It has even been the primary backing & method of single point reference for a thorough client audit that we were spot checked on, & it really streamlined the process! Cons The primary downside in my eyes is that the full metrics is an add-on feature at additional cost. An inconvenience is that when you use an image in a fillable form, it appears as a default in the final signed document, even if that section did not apply & was collapsed. Reason for choosing SiteDocs I began with SiteDocs at a previous employer & helped build it up into the usable format it became at that time. Support is always available but its a lot really easy to use. Its saved me alot of time managing the safety program which has allowed me to put my energy in other parts of the business as well and to make sure the program is the best its ever been. Pros I like the fact that it has saved me alot of time managing the safety program. I dont need to file paperwork, its easy to review filled out forms and sign off on them and I have more buy in from employees as its easy to use and to fill in forms. Its also really easy to customize and build forms. Cons push notifications would be great. Like if they chose a certain hazard like hot work then the hot work form would pop up for them to fill in. Pros We have work in 12 states, 200+ projects, 700 employees, the safety team could not do their jobs accurately without site docs. Being able to monitor each project daily for toolbox talks, site daily audits and new employee orientation is great, the team couldn't do that without Site Docs. SiteDocs allows all employees to access the same documents and forms on every site. SiteDocs allows admin to see everything that goes on at each site and customize what is required at each site. Cons The annual rate increase of nearly $1000 was a bit of a shock with little changes that are useful to our company, but we've spent hours setting everything up and don't want to redo it in another program. Easy to create forms and templates for daily, weekly and monthly inspections and Field Level Hazard Assessments. Great for record management and easy to pull up past reports for COR audits. Easy to edit past forms too. Cons Used to be you couldn't attach PDF's to forms and now it looks like that has been resolved. Haven't tried it yet though.
