### "A Powerful Platform for Technical Hiring"

March 5, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with HackerRank has been positive. It is a powerful platform for coding practice, technical assessments, and developer skill evaluation. The platform’s problem library and live coding interview tools make it valuable for both learners and organizations conducting technical hiring. While the interface and pricing could be improved, it remains one of the most reliable platforms for coding challenges and developer assessments.

Pros

What I liked most about HackerRank is its comprehensive coding environment and large library of programming challenges that help developers practice and improve their skills. The platform makes it easy to create and customize coding tests for different roles, which is very useful for technical hiring. The live coding interview feature is also smooth and interactive, allowing candidates and interviewers to collaborate in real time. Overall, it provides a structured and practical way to evaluate programming ability across multiple technologies.

Cons

One drawback of HackerRank is that the pricing for advanced recruiting features can be relatively high for small teams or startups. There could also be more flexibility in the bundles of test takers allowed, which would make the platform more accessible for organizations with varying hiring needs. Additionally, customer support response times could be improved in some cases to provide quicker assistance when issues arise.

### "Outstanding Partnership and Value"

February 27, 2026

5.0

Hugely positive. The team are great and very responsive, they are as invested as we are to innovate and overcome challenges and this makes for a fantastic partnership. Working with them has allowed us to run new processes, have reliable data to back up changes and trust in what we are trying to build - together. Excellent value for money, helping us to save vast amounts whilst not faltering on quality.

Pros

How it enabled us to scale and to improve our processes. The platform is incredibly easy to navigate and use. It gives us a great window into how someone will perform in their interviews and shifting to live coding interviews has been game changing.

Cons

In the interviews the video aspect isn't great and could potentially be smoother if it ran through Google Meet instead.

### "Very Satisfied with our Partnership with HackerRank!"

March 19, 2026

5.0

Overall, our experience with HackerRank has been exceptionally positive. We feel very confident in the product, and the HackerRank team enables us to get the best use out of the partnership.

Pros

We absolutely love the support we get when working with the HackerRank team. We've been working with \[sensitive content hidden\] for years now, and we are not shy about telling her that she is one of our favorite vendors to work with. \[sensitive content hidden\] goes out of her way to ensure we are fully informed on new offerings and opportunities to take advantage of. The HackerRank team is dedicated to making sure we are satisfied with their product. We had a few questions about a new offering recently, and their team offered to hold a session to walk our team through a demo and hold a Q&A to ensure we felt enabled and empowered!

Cons

There's nothing that we would categorize as "disliking" about HackerRank. We have thoroughly enjoyed our partnership so far.

### "A Solid Platform for Interview-Ready Coding Practice"

February 17, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with HackerRank was very positive. The platform offers a wide range of well-structured problems and realistic coding challenges that helped me sharpen my problem-solving skills and write more efficient, edge-case-aware code. The instant feedback and test cases made it easy to iterate and improve quickly. While some problems felt more algorithmic than practical, the overall experience was effective preparation for technical interviews and a good way to stay sharp.

Pros

I liked HackerRank most for its realistic, well-structured problem sets and timed challenges that mirror real interview scenarios. The platform’s test cases and constraints push you to write efficient, production-quality code, not just “passable” solutions.

Cons

The in-browser editor and environment can feel limiting compared to a local setup with proper tooling, tests, and debugging. It’s great for standardization, but not always how I’d work in production.

### "My experience with hackerrank"

March 2, 2026

5.0

My overall experience was extremely great and i shall definitely continue using hackerrank. The UI, the diverse skill set questions all provide a great platform.

Pros

The one thing that i liked the most is that a person from any skill level or background can start already on hackerrank and improve their skills gradually. The feature where we can also upload our own tests is pretty great!

Cons

For the people who are looking to create their own tests and questions some documentation should be provided.

### "Hackerrank for interviews"

March 18, 2026

5.0

Pros

Its ease of use, supporting various kind of files to enable testing all kinds of skills like coding, system design, designing architecture, etc

Cons

Nothing yet. I like to use hackerrank for all kinds of software skill testing. Maybe hackerrank can also implement a strict timer since the interview starts and it should save the progress and make a submission, if the interviewer chooses to enable auto-timer

### "Great coding challenge platform"

April 6, 2026

HackerRank is a great tool for interview preparation and technical assessments. While the user interface is a bit cluttered and difficult to navigate at times, the quality of the coding environment and the variety of languages supported make it a great choice for developers

Pros

Hacker rank is a great platform for learning and doing coding challenges that can help prepare for an interview. It is also a good coding assessment platform used by a lot of employers.

Cons

The user interface experience could use some improvements. All features available for the user but its not easy to navigate. Also the coding challenges could use some variety as most of the challenges are optimized for mathematical optimization code challenges.

### "nice UI to pair for coding interviews"

December 9, 2025

4.0

I am quite happy of the product. It allows to coding in pairing during interviews for example. It works well for me.

Pros

I like that HackerRank Developer Skills Platform offers support for many languages, which is really helpful for diverse coding interviews. The platform allows code to be run with low response time, which enhances the efficiency of the interview process. I also appreciate the shared platform, allowing both the interviewer and interviewee to work together. Features like the common screen make it possible to follow what the interviewee is doing, which is important during interviews. The platform also supports code editing collaboration, autocomplete, compilation checks, and code execution, making the interviewing experience smooth and interactive. The initial setup was easy to understand, making it accessible without a steep learning curve.

Cons

I can't think at anything as of now. The product works well. I am satisfied of all functional and non functional aspects.

### "HackerRank Assessment Platform"

June 15, 2023

5.0

Pros

The primary advantage is that it is entirely gratis - it includes a large library containing all key code challenges from major firms. It provides a fantastic environment for coding practise. Its online examinations for businesses are also particularly appealing since they provide a familiar coding environment.

Cons

Opportunities, while the site allows you to compete for any employment challenge, it does not give any. However, a decent profile page with badges may inform any techie how skilled you are at coding and ideas.

### "Cool Software to do Live Coding!"

July 26, 2021

4.0

Overall, it's really good software if you want to do live coding or do problem-solving practice, but if you need to do full DAW or text editor, you need to code in the DAW or text editor and run it on HackerRank.

Pros

Had pretty and intuitive UI, many great challenges, and have feature like live coding, which is useful for Computer Science Student to do coding test.

Cons

The assessment is so strict, so you need to have exactly the result with a test case, if not (you forget to add space for example), it will result in a wrong answer. The text editor is also not really great, the auto-complete is not so fast and does not suggest so many things. Also, the text editor does not provide an error detector, so you shouldn't see errors before running it.

### "Best site to improve your tech skills"

May 6, 2021

5.0

I challenge myself to resolve 1 problem per day, and I certainly improve my programming skills and the way I resolve problems in real life. The sing up process is easy and you start right away to browse through the challenges. It's indeed a good preparation for a technical programming interview

Pros

I love this site, it allows you to learn and challenge yourself at your own pace, and during the process, you will catch up with the top-ranking developers that write incredible code and algorithms. It has a nice code editor and an online compiler. The challenges are great for every skill level They manage a diverse set of programming languages

Cons

The only thing I didn't like is that sometimes when you try to lookup for hints you realize that the community on your preferred language is small and only the most popular languages get more feedback

### "Best for practicing technical Interviews"

July 20, 2021

HackerRank provides you a great platform if you want to improve your skills, target companies through interviews and develop as a great software engineer

Pros

If you want to prepare for technical interviews then hackerRank provides different sections which you can use for preparing interviews. This sections have different levels. An amateur can start from beginner level and advance further. There are a lot of different sections for giving exams and studying different technologies. Its a versatile software

Cons

There are some things which could be improved. The interface where user codes is not smooth. I have seen a lot of time that the system takes a lot of time in order to identify mistakes in code. Its not as smooth as leetcode.

### "Very useful tool for training programmers skills"

June 7, 2017

5.0

I train my programming skills in free time, because my current work is about management not coding.

Pros

1\. Hard but interesting challenges for training skills. 2. Contests, where you can see your real level of knowledge. 3. Good gamification - scoring, ranking and leaderbords. And, sure, opportunity to find a job of your dreams!

Cons

As for me, there are too low pushing level. I'm very busy man, but sometimes have a lot of free time which I can spend for training my skills. But often I forget about this. So more agressive pushing would not be superfluous
