March 30, 2026 4.0 It has done well with our team and I feel it is more secure than Google Drive. Pricing is reasonable for what we get, and the storage and option to download to computer are good features. Pros The system allows me to share files internally and externally (links, permissions, expiry, passwords). The real-time collaboration + tools like Dropbox Paper, e-signatures, and DocSend tracking kae it easier to collaberate remotely (which we do) Cons The cost compared to Google one drive is obvisous. Another thing is that people who are used to Google One drive have a steep learning curve with DB business..especially boomers. Pros What we like most about Dropbox business is that it is very easy to use, it keeps all my files stored in one place, and is capable of storing large files, easy to reach files and great customer support. Cons One of the things that we did not appreciate sometimes we are not able to get into the account, we have to constantly change our password. I gave up because the interface and synching was so convoluted . Cons The interface is so difficult. I coulsn't find my stuff, wasn't sure if things would sync. i found it unnecesary difficult to set it up and to access files. Project Management Construction Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Reliable use of DropBox" December 19, 2025 4.0 Overall the system works great for us in it's amount of storage it will hold and the speed that it will upload and download data for use. Customer support has been great when I have had any type of upload or access issues. I was always able to get a return call. Working remotely was made much easier using Dropbox also when I am not in the office but work on the road or at home. I would not make it without DropBox. Pros This storage option gives our company the best value for the money. It is very easy to use and well known by other companies so they are familiar with the product when it is emailed to them. I was impressed how it allows me to send access to multiple people for team collaboration on projects and would allow me to have the team organize all by folders which made easy searching and navigation of the project. Cons I have seen situations where clients have rejected the access I sent to them because their email security blocked it. This is due to the the fact that many phishing emails will create a link like DropBox and can make people suspicious. I suggest notifying people before you send. Pros Dropbox has a 256-bit AES and SSL/TLS encryption and which is fantastic for data compliance. The interface is great with its drag and drop features. I like that we are able to edit text and rearrange pages in pdfs from Dropbox itself. Cons The basic version only provides 2gb of free storage after which the prices shoot up. Pros I just not only store my files but I can scan any file in different formats, share files and even have them downloaded to preview them offline without having access to any internet. There is no limit on how big the file should be and I can even convert jpeg format to pdf. It has made my life easy to use it for business purposes. Cons For bigger memory storage, you have to pay a to buy more space. Also, once a pdf is generated, there is no way to add more pages into it or to alter it. It's easy to store and share files when external parties while able to set different permission levels. It was easy to export my videos to and from my Sony Vegas app. Cons After a few years of the same thing my storage changed, and it could hold what felt like a quarter of what it did before, then it would tell me to purchase more storage.
