Pros has been a great solution at a reasonable price for us when we were looking for a new phone system. We are able to provide phone access to multiple staff members and volunteers through their system, and their customer service team is always very responsive when we have issues. They provide us with multiple voice mail boxes and the ability to communicate with our clients and volunteers via text very easily. Cons There was a steep learning curve as our staff and volunteers have learned how to navigate the system. Also it is a little more expensive. Customer service was great though. Pros The templates are great and help to save a lot of time trying to do it yourself. Cons When I read a message in the app it still shows I have a message until I manually mark it as read or archive it. That was annoying to me. It seems like people either really love it or really hate it. We found it expensive and cumbersome. GLOO is a much better platform and way more economical. Pros The ability to communicate with people quickly. Cons The texts were not reliable. Often we would schedule them and they'd either not go or be sent at the wrong time (was not operator error). Cons We need to build in some personal elements in the middle of the workflow to stay connected. We would love to be able to add our name or church name as the number so people don’t think it’s a spam call or text. We are considering addressing ourselves in the message so at least it’s possible iPhones would recognize and list it as us. You can use it to communciate with people wanting to know more about Jesus in a “Text Yes” Campagin. 2. It’s a great want to communicate things to your congregation. If there is emergency or unexpected close (we had snow in North Carolina) 3. Communicate with your volunteers with reminders. Pros The flexibility for several Ministries to use this software. We have several teams…..Groups, General Congregation, Guest Services & Events. This way, we can all manage our messages more effectively and efficiently. We started using in on Sundays for people to text YES when we ask if they’d like to labor more about Jesus. This give us at least a starting point with new believers and people that are interested. For my volunteer team on Events, I use to tell them there is an important email that they need to look for.WIth all the emails these days, many just miss important emails. Telling folks that an important email just went out about volunteering ad one of our 3 campuses is an effective what to get great sign ups. Cons The one aspect of the platform is some difficulty I have had with adding on bundles when needed. But they do offer a wide range of packages so you can discover which works best for you. I can set differnt groups up and communicate with a whole group with a simple click of a button. I dont have to think about 'who is in this group again?' I dont have to worry about communicating with the wrong group. Also, being that its text, I know that everyone is getting the message. Unlike email, you have to actually open up an email to see it. Pros The has been amazing for me and my church. It simplifies communication, eliminates emails that go straight to junk mail, first time guest follow-up systems made simple, and the list goes on. THIS MORNING someone said, "I really appreciated how I got a personal text from Epiphany this morning telling me they were praying for me today". It is the small things. I have been in ministry for 10 years and this is one of the best things that I have had in terms of communication with people on a weekly basis. Before, when I asked people if they got the information via Email, FB message, IG, Twitter, ect, about 30% of the people would say that they got it, but didn't look at it. Now, over 90% of the people I ask not only got it but read it and appreciated it. It has even been a game changer for our teams. If you want to be apart of the setup team, text SET UP...If you want to be apart of the hospitality team text HOSPITALITY...I honestly don't know what I was even doing before in communication. I will never go back. Cons The app through iOS could be better. As I am traveling, it would be great to set up a quick text from my phone. The capability is there, but it glitches out sometimes. It's easy to use, has built in templates to help you get started and they are completely customization to fit the needs of your church or group! Pros This software is outstanding! Not only is it easy to set up and implement, but the positive feedback you get from being able to easily communicate with guest, congregations, groups, etc, is non-stop. It's the best investment we've made for our church and it continues to grow and improve providing the best features you could ask for! Cons The only issue I have with the software is the lack of email open reports. You have to manually check each person to see if they opened the email. June 10, 2021 5.0 Our experience has been fantastic and if you have questions they are quick to get you to the right person to help you. Pros They ability to set up guest follow up so those who are new do not fall through the cracks. It has helped us stay in contact after someone has come and be able to minister after that initial visit. We also like the ability to put a plan a visit on our site so someone we can communicate with them and give them some invite on our church before they come. This helps out with those awkward feelings for new guests. Cons only thing I have is about setting specific dates for txts to go out, which they listen to our feed back and are working on this. Pros I appreciate the ability to set up workflows to ensure I am staying on top of communication. When people respond I am able to engage at a deeper level. Cons I would love the ability to create my own automated workflow template that I would be able to open and set the specific date to trigger the workflow. All the templates are designed to trigger based on the day an individual is added to the group. I would like to have people be able to join a group over a period of time and then all receive the same communications on the same day. For example, have people sign up for an event through the month of Sept but then everyone receives a series of sms during the week prior to the event the first Sunday of Oct. For your example, you want to create a group and allow people to sign up for the whole month of September. Then, schedule group messages to that group on the exact dates you choose in October. Pros The ease of being able to communicate with members at one time from one place. Cons I do not like that there isn't a reporting feature. I must report to the Pastor monthly on the number of new visitors we get each month. When exporting from TIC to excel, it's like pulling teeth to short through the information. July 6, 2018 5.0 Our communications improved without a large dedication of time and effort with . Pros compiles communication databases in one place online. Text, call or email efficiently and effectively with multiple lists and purposes. Text In Church gives the ability for multiple users Cons does not have an easy "save draft" or autosave feature. If you are interrupted for a long time during creation, depending on your computer setting, you have to re-login and start over. Inconvenient but not a deal breaker because creation is easy.
