The system is fine and works for us but the sign in issues we have has led us to look for a new software provider for our rental management, the current system just does not work

Pros

If I can get into the system it works fine, but this is totally overshadowed by us not being able to sign in at all sometimes for hours

Cons

Absolutely infuriating sign in procedure, often I simply cannot log into the system due to the OTP, when I'm in a rush to get a quote out to a client this is so infuriating and has led to us losing several jobs , I have spent hours trying to correct this only to have it happen again a few days later

I have recommended Current RMS to many companies in the past (who are now also Current RMS users). However I have not been able to recommend Current RMS recently as I feel like the development has come to a complete halt. New features take months to be released (if at all), and old releases are still in Beta and in desperate need of updates. Currently in the market for an alternative solution with more advanced features, and a better development lifecycle.

Pros

Current RMS is great if you need a simple, one-stop solution for a small or medium sized rental company with basic feature requirements. Their support team is very efficient and helpful. Great documentation and easy to integrate with other products, either via built-in integrations or the API.

Cons

They have been very slow to implement new major improvements to the system, especially given the extensive list of feature requests by the community. Mobile application is terrible, and there are long periods where no features are released at all. Current RMS was designed to be as universal as possible, which is both a positive and negative. Reporting function needs a lot of work, and is currently BASIC.

Pros

It’s designed by people who clearly know the industry and the pressures on the people using their software.

Pros

I get to chat with everyone who is available on any daily questions.

Cons

Nothing. It helps get my job done. All of the Current Techs are always available via chat right on the software to help me.

Overall we are extremely satisfied with Current RMS.

Pros

The system is user friendly, everything is clear, organized and well thought out. Amazing customer service. Current RMS is always improving with new features and updates. Asset management is a key feature we use. Quickbooks and TeamTrack integration have been amazing in creating an efficient workflow.

Cons

Transferring assets between opportunities or long-term rentals are messy to deal with at this time.

Reasons for choosing Current RMS

We switched from R2 because that software was very difficult to implement and use. Having a cloud based software made it an easy switch.

Support is very good considering the time difference. Ease for a new user to get up and running

Pros

Ease of use. Licencing is fair in relation to other products.

Cons

Opportunities to invoice needs some work for the hospitality industry as client makes changes very often. New document process is very long winded. Can take up to 6-8weeks to have new documents developed hence we tend to stay away.

Pros

I had been looking for an inventory rental software program for years. I found the initial setup a bit confusing as it wasn't something i was use to but i had heaps of support from the team at Current and they were always there to answer any of my questions and they still are!

Cons

Because i direct all of my invoices etc to Xero, I can't generate a balance invoice to send to clients when they pay a deposit which i find annoying. Unless i am unaware, there isn't a pay now button to direct to a credit card payment option
