It's perfect for my cleaning business and has all the tools I need. Pros I like that Freshbooks is user friendly. It's simple to create invoices which I do all the time. It saves so much time Cons There's nothing I don't like about Freshbooks. It's definitely more for small businesses though. If you are a larger business, I'd look elsewhere. Pros Freshbooks is inexpensive and i have never had any problems with it. I used it for 3 yrs then switched to quickbooks online and regretted it. I am switching back this yr. Cons I had the cheapeat version and had to tyoe all the info from the receipts in mannually. I am going to look into a uograded version because qbooks messed my books up and was so expensive. They won't answer you, just give you pre written responses. Not sure why. Pros It worked well until they shut my account down with no explanation. I highly recommend keeping your data elsewhere. They won't give access to it. Cons They shut my account down and didn't explain why and started ignoring my emails. I am in waterproofing and I've been creating quotes just fine during the free trial and a few days after I paid they shut my account down and wouldn't tell me why or give a refund. I put lots of time into getting all those quotes migrated onto the system and now I have to start again on a different app. I wouldn't recommend for small businesses that don't have their data in multiple places coz finding all the quotes I've sent is gonna take a while. I had used them for another business that had 2-3 transactions a month for over 2 years so I felt comfortable using them for this new business that had more transactions. I was wrong to have done so. It is very easy to use and gets you started as you are launching your business. The value is definetly there for the price. Pros Ease of use is there for FreshBooks. It does a great job in capturing the basics of what you need to run your business. The platform provides good value for your money depending on what you need it for. Cons Certain accounting functions can be tricky to do due to the simplicity of how the plantforms runs and the lack of customization. Certain modules can be added on, the basic package is good for just getting your business started. It has since doubled in price and a lot of the features that they add do not benefit me like the payroll section. You can only have one person as such myself without paying extra on top of the $60 a month Pros To accomplish the normal everyday estimates and invoicing it is fairly simple to use. It offered me the mileage tracking without paying additional for it, but it does have some inaccuracies Cons For the price it doesn't have the add-ons and lots of missing features that I could get from another program, but it's a lot to transfer to another one so I have tolerated it. Pros Perfect for small business/ freelancers. Quick to learn and did everything we needed at the time. Good access via app and automated invoices were ideal. Cons The cost of adding more users on as we grew. The limited personalisation at the start was fine but as we used it more and more we had to find workarounds. They do online checkout links, recurring billing and estimates with signatures and are essential to my business. Cons I really don’t have complaints about FreshBooks. Every touchpoint with client, matters. FreshBooks has a couple of plans that are completely affordable. $15/mo for 5 clients. $25 for 50 clients. I was on the $25/mo plan (actually billed monthly) for 4 years. It's seriously a great product. Are you worried about credit card fees? No problem. Add 3% more to your pricing to account for the payment gateway fees (PayPal, Stripe, WePay, etc). You can even connect FreshBooks to your bank for ease of expenses and export profit and loss (P&L) statements. There's really no reason why you should still be doing your accounting on Google Sheets. I have a tutorial on how to set up FreshBooks. \[sensitive content hidden\] Pros My favorite part of FreshBooks was how easy it was to get started. The payment tiers are very fair. Sending out professional invoices and statements instead of Excel sheets or Google Docs sends the right message to your clients. It also allows you to send professional quotes. Cons I didn't like that the GL categories didn't have numbers. I'm used to traditional GL codes. They may have changed it since I last used it (2021).
