Has greatly improved our workflow. Cut expense report time down and improved user experience. A good product for startups and small businesses looking to get a handle on expenses.

Pros

It is very user friendly and easy to onboard new employees to. The portal to a company card and mileage tracking cuts expense report time down significantly for my service department.

Cons

Sometimes it can be finicky when autoscanning receipts if the date of purchase and the expensed date come through differently. International currency is a little hit or miss as well.

Pros

The app takes a little time to set up, but once you do, expense reporting becomes idiot proof. My employees, who are mostly labourers, use this app with ease.

Cons

The setting up of zoho expense takes time and patience. It is worth the trial and effort. There could be better tutorials for the set up.

We made this change from Quickbooks from our previous years and feel that ZOHO is superior.In addition, we were completely surprised at how intuitive the interface was.

Pros

We love the ease of associating actual expenses with the expense reports. Our CPA loves it too.

Cons

The one thing that initially got us hung up, was the ability to edit a submitted expense.

The initial reason was the cost simply escalated to the point of being ridiculous for a small company like ours. Then once we tried ZOHO on a trial basis, we became fans.

Pros

While my experience is somewhat limited as a new user, so far i have found it to be very intuitive and comprehensive. I like that I can track mileage along other expense categories either from my mobile or desktop, and i can do create a quick pre-formatted PDF report for submission. Also like that it interfaces with Zoho Books, which although I haven't tried, appears to be very useful to make record keeping easier.

Cons

I just started to use it. So far, haven't found anything I didn't like. Very promising application

This is a great experience, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, easy to use expense reporting that doesn't necessarily require a large Quickbooks functionality.

Pros

It is very simple to use and relatively explanatory. The app interface is clean, easy to understand, and functionality of desktop to mobile is easy.

There seem to be a necessity to engage a few work arounds needed for a single employee small business when it comes to expense reporting.

Pros

We love using Zoho at Connect 2. It is very easy and straightforward. My whole team can submit their reimbursable expenses and as the Admin, it is easy to track which reports I need to approve, which reports I need to reimburse, and which reports are still waiting on me. The cool thing about Zoho is that it also sends me reminders if there is a report waiting on my decision. I usually go in and approve when I get the notification that someone submitted a report, but every now and then one will slip through the cracks.

Cons

I don't understand why I don't automatically get logged into "Admin View" and I have to toggle between that and regular view. I like being in Admin view because it is easier for me to follow the workflow and see what still needs my attention.

Really good ap. I like the ease of use and the ability to stay on the move throughout the day without worrying if I lost a receipt or not. Just open the ap, snap a pic, fill in the needed info, and away I go to without worry.

Pros

ease of use. I like being able to snap a pic of my receipt and load all the info needed as soon as I get a receipt. Easiest two minutes of the day.

Cons

It seems that during the free trial you are limited to the pay choices to report from and expense accounts.

Pros

Has been wonderful expense manager for my small business; very flexible options, easy upload of receipts, very receptive UI

Cons

Dislike MFA, but it is needed to protect my privacy; It is easy to be a prey for a privacy theft. Other than this I dont have any demerits about the app

Overall a very positive experience using Zoho Expense as it enables the digitising of receipts through utoscn, nd retaining images for tax purposes.

Pros

It enables the quick capture of receipts through autoscan, and takes pictures of receipts for tax purposes

Cons

I could not delegate receipt capturing to users outside the organisation, i.e. consultants, etc. for them to also allocate their receipts for billing purposes.

Zoho expense is simpe to use but has a lot of functionality and a great support system provided free of charge.

Pros

Zoho expense is a simple to use program that also has a lot of functionality. Some of these tools may be a bit overkill for my use, i only need a few of the features, However they alos provide a two hour assistance program to help you understand the features.

As above, there may be too many features for my use case as i only need a few of the features provided.

I love it! Being able to email my bills as they come in & keep track of expenses coming in on my credit cards has been a huge time saver & me & my team are not missing expenses anymore.

Pros

Ease of use & has helped me & my team save hours in keeping up with our expenses. I also have to add how affordable it is for our company which for me was easy to get approved by our accounting dept.

Cons

Just like anything else, it takes some time to learn how to use but Zoho's Customer Service will do demos & are always available when we need help.

Pros

We have been loving the Zoho Expense. All our field agents can take a picture of a receipt and upload immediately using the Mobile Access. This has streamlined our receipt tracking. Been a great investment and a reduction of time spent on tedious tasks. It intergrates seamlessly with QBO.

Cons

Only downside, is you have to manually push the expense reports through if you want them daily as the auto reporting only occurs weekly.

Product is excellent. Customer service - terrible. A person from the UK ( not my jurisdiction or timezone) did a lazy attempt to suggest a demo at the time convenient for HIM, and then disappeared - guess he figured, why bother since I purchased it anyway having been pressured by my accountant ( not your sales team).

Pros

I like how easy it is to file your receipts and expenses: all you need to do is to take a photo. Zoho Expense then sorts them out at about 90% accuracy. It really saves time. I also like that the trial period included a full version, it allows you to fully experience functionality

Cons

The so-called customer care is almost non-existent. It was a drag to schedule a demo with them: they kept sending me their calendars without bothering to connect personally. And once I finally booked a slot, their sales person cancelled on me at the last moment! They never bothered to follow up, didn't offer an alternative appointment ( oh, I had to sift through their calendars!) and once I purchased it since I liked the product anyway, they disappeared. If my accountant hadn't insist on Zoho vs Quickbooks, I would have gone with Quickbooks simply due to lack of customer care. Quickbooks sales folks were very attentive! I have two products from Zoho both professional versions and didn't hear from them once.

Zoho has been exactly what I needed to stay organised across the year — no fluff, no bloat, just solid functionality. It’s easy to navigate, and it’s made staying on top of my business admin a lot smoother. It saved me a ton of time when it came to preparing my tax return, even though I had to use a different service to lodge.

Pros

Zoho made it easy to keep all my invoices and expenses in one place without getting lost in the complexity of accounting software I don't need. It’s clean, reliable, and doesn't try to be more than it is. I like that I could just get in, get things done, and keep everything tidy throughout the year.

Cons

Some of the integrations or next steps aren't available (like directly lodging a tax return from Zoho), which meant I had to use another system when it came time to submit. It’s a little frustrating having to switch platforms when everything else is already in Zoho.

In the Quickbooks sync, it does not appear that you can associate non-reimbursable expenses (credit card expenses) to more than one payment account.

Pros

easy to use and you can build budgets. I also like that you can view it on the mobile app. It makes it quick and relatively effortless.

Cons

I find that adding expenses is not as quick as I would like. There is probably a way to import all your typical expense categories in set up. I just need to take time to do that.
