I tried other tools before, and I think I've finally found the one I needed. Pros I really appreciate GanttPro; I was looking for a tool to manage my professional thesis project. I wanted a tool that would allow me to manage my project over 18 months, something simple and user-friendly. I didn't want to waste time with a complicated tool, but at the same time, I wanted a solution that would include all the essential project management tools. I really enjoyed my trial, which is why I decided to purchase a paid license, which is available thanks to the student discount. I wasn't sure if I was eligible for the discount as a French student, so I asked customer support service and they replied very quickly with good news. Thank you, GanttPro! February 16, 2022 3.0 GanttPRO ensures efficient synchronization and good coordination between all the project teams and then we have developed a very good level of communication and we gain time and money. Pros the most impressive features I think that real-time interaction and easy workflow notices and comments with attached documents were the most impactful features of GanttPRO software. GanttPRO solution was very useful even for the training team and was closely interfaced and implemented with our ERP information system and for all our business processes. Cons I hope that a template model task can be copied for the main tasks of one project at one click and I don't need to copy the template task for every new task because in our case, all main tasks should follow the same process so they have the same subtasks. It does the job and helps our organization work better. Pros GanttPRO gives us all the necessary tools to plan our school activites on many levels. With the educational/nonprofit discount we were given it represents an outstanding value for money. It is very important for us to be able to coordinate events, milestones and deliverables across projects/schools. The Portfolio view provides a nice way to visually align. Reflecting task status is easy and visual. That helps to keep status information up to date and to anticipate problems before the become serious. Since we have people working on many projects simultaneously, the Workload view helps us to avoid overloading and expectations that can not be met. Overall we like GanttPRO for its ease of use and just the right functionalities that are important for us. Cons The lack of checklists associated with each task. We would also need to define sequences of tasks (processes) as templats with checklists for each task. May be integration of the checklists with tasks in Google. Most of our stakeholders are not technically minded, so it was essential that we could present the complex timelines with many interdependencies to these stakeholders. The experience of creating a project plan is made so straightforward thanks to GanttPro’s simple user interface. There is ample online support, should you need it, but I found the tool intuitive enough to not have to. Pros There are many that I have liked from what I have been using GanttPRO, but to highlight I have the ease of use, here I can organize my tasks easily, have a fairly easy follow-up, I can export to an excel that is even better and I can have it all very close to the palm of my hand, Besides this I also love the way it presents the tasks in the gantt chart that although many people think that any application does it in my case I did not have good luck with any application as I am having with this one, super recommended and I hope to continue from here on until I graduate to continue using it. What helped a lot was a support team that would answer questions real FAST (sometimes within a few minutes!). I was able to get up to speed with GanttPRO within three weeks, and it works well for planning our development projects in a large team of engineers. I checked out other tools as well, but most of them had a serious show stopper or were lacking important features. That's why we chose GanttPRO Pros GanttPRO is an easy to use Gantt chart that allows for easy managing our development projects in a large team of engineers. It allows for a good resource management as well. Much better than any other tool I checked. Cons There are a few minor(!) wishes for additional features that I told GanttPRO, and I hope the GanttPRO team may add them at some point in the future. But none of those is a show stopper. It does exactly what I wanted it to, and very well, as I said in the pros, the customization in terms of colors and shapes of tasks, the export function is great should I want an image of my chart, which I've used on several occasions. Whenever I create a chart using GanttPro, it always ends up being a good project, due to GanttPro doing it's best to make sure I stay on schedule, I really loved my experience. Pros I mostly used this product to create Gantt charts, which is really does a fantastic job at. Between the different customization of colors, shapes and task types, and as well as exporting to PDF/ XML/ Excel/ PNG features, which come in handy, should you want to work outside of GanttPro's system with other team members. I also loved the way it tracks your progress really well, making sure, I'm always on schedule when it comes to finishing my projects on time. TL;DR if you need to create a Gantt Chart, look no further because you've arrived at your destination.I really don't have much bad to say about this great project. Pros We use GanttPRO in our research lab and found that organizing our experimental projects into tasks and subtasks with corresponding timelines makes reporting and sharing progress at lab meetings more efficient. It allows me to observe only the GANTT diagram for the presentations to my bosses about the projects, it allows me to export to excel so that my Project Management can register all my schedule and evaluate the times.
