In general, the service and its payment processing platform are perfect. I think it is a very good alternative for small and large entrepreneurs since your system and finances are secure.

Pros

It is an easy platform to manage your transactions and see the history of each one of them, also the service provided is something to be admired, good customer service and above all experts with the merchants.

Cons

In general, the entire service is excellent. I think that the response time to any type of request could be improved, since the process is usually slow.

I had a medical emergency that cause me to be out of commission for several months. I have run $100s of thousands of dollars through their system and they were unwilling to consider refunding me the $600+ dollars in fees for not using their system while I was down. I was and actually still am a customer for 6 years. I’m trying to navigate the scam they have setup to keep you from being able to cancel.

Pros

I used them for 6 years because the were connected with my CRM

Cons

Customer service- the system is designed to give you the run around. No one can help with anything. It’s always someone else you need to talk to or something you need to do. The make canceling very difficult on purpose to make you pay fees they charge for not using their service.

My overall experience with CardConnect has been good and the agents that they have working for them are friendly and helpful.

Pros

What I like most about CardConnect is how quick and easy it is to use. The platform is straightforward, user-friendly, and simple to navigate.

Cons

What I like the least is that the terminals seem to malfunction a lot. But since we started using them almost 2 years ago, it has gotten better.

Overall i have had a very pleasant experience. Its quick, convenient and generally hassle free. 10/10

Pros

Honeslty? I love the little chime it makes when i complete a transaction. Its also very quick! The tap pay is almost instant.

Cons

It doesnt register a finger very well when trying to sign. I also have issues with the printer in the back of it getting jammed easily.

Had fraud happen on my account and they refunded barely any of my money, then refused to help me anymore. Now are refusing to even cancel my account.

I would rather have a root canal. The mocked me and said that they were sorry that their employees didn't give me the proper instruction on how to cancel a subscription that had no transactions on it.

Pros

Worked like other companies when I used them nothing special.

Cons

They will say "I will cancel you on the phone" but they don't tell you that you have to email them at cancel@cardconnect.com with your detailed info requesting to cancel your subscription. It took me three phone calls to cancel it to find it out!

was supposed to be low card fees and easy to integrate into DMS

Cons

Did a $300 repair, 4 months later they return the money to customer because the customer says they believe they were over charged for the repair...they were fine with it 4 months ago when they came in took their unit signed and swiped.

Overall, our experience was mediocre. The extra fees ended up turning us off to the service even though it was well integrated with our other systems that we use in our business.

Pros

It was relatively easy to use and integrated with our EMR system, so it made it easy to reconcile patient accounts.

Cons

We had to key in credit cards and there was a monthly minimum that you had to meet. Many of our clients pay through packages, so they did not make payments monthly. A lot of our clients also pay by check. So we had a few months where we did not meet their monthly minimum. We were assessed extra fees a lot on top of their processing fees and the invoices were very confusing to read in order to determine where the charges came from. There was not a good explanation, so we ultimately stopped using this software in favor of Square.

### "Scammers, beware of deceptive pricing"

They are scammers. The representative is definitely scam. Avoid the company as a whole. I was looking for merchant services in 11/2018 and signed up with this company. In negotiations I made sure that I will not be charged the Early termination fee and representative agreed to it and confirmed in email. They left the space of ETF in actual contract blank and when I questioned, she stated that she has made it $0 and that is why it doesn't show anything in that space. Fair enough, 7-9 months later, customers don't want to switch payments from PayPal to a different company. So I have no option but to cancel the plan which I emailed her to cancel without ETF as we agreed. She processed the cancellation, next statement I received the charge of $750 Early Cancellation fee. I called CSR out of panic, I didn't realize initially that she was in West Coast, so I called an early hour, as soon as I realized I hung up and called after 9 am PST. I called her twice and left her a voice message to please return the call.

Pros

Tech support was flexible and they were more than willing to work and resolve the issues.

Cons

We had to ask them for every feature to be activated through and was not user friendly. We couldn't do things ourselves

Reason for choosing CardConnect

Because of competitive pricing but I had no idea that they had deceptive practice of increasing price while I was agreed to be given 5 year price guarantee and no contract as I worked at bank and I had other offers with no early termination fee contracts on table. CardConnect lied to me.

It's a merchant account, and it operates as such. Nothing extra about it, and if you don't run up against an issue that requires you to speak with customer support, it will work adequately for you. If you require someone to help you who actually has the knowledge needed to troubleshoot...GOOD LUCK! THEY HAVE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT!

Pros

Clear statements and easy to track transactions.

Cons

Not a single person in their customer service knows butkis about their own product. You get different answers from different people on the same subject. You are bounced around like a ping pong ball, and it can take days to get situations resolved. In my case months!!! I have never had worse customer service than here.

Pros

I like that they have multiple options of how you can process credit cards. They met the needs of both of our businesses. The online portal makes its easy to access my account, run a manual credit card, void, refund or check on my account. I can add my managers to access the account, and only allow them certain access. If they were to leave, it is just a click of a button to remove them. No more worrying about changing logins and passwords! We have had cardconnect for about a year now, and we have been very happy with it.

Cons

We have not had any issues with credit card processing since we have started using it. The only issue I have ever had with the company was when we had a change of business and I needed to transfer the account, I had a little trouble getting in contact with someone to help me have it go quickly because I was in a time crunch. However, when I did get connected to the right person, she was very helpful and even would email me after hours to answer my questions/concerns.

I love how it helps us streamline event payments across all our properties, however, its been a nightmare for us to setup for each property.

I like how useful card connect is when we have business that we execute at 4 different properties in San Francisco and allows us to require full payments which allows us to run low risk for events that may have previously had an event balance.

Cons

It has a been a nightmare to setup with each of our businesses. We are currently going on three months and still waiting to launch our cc payments for one of our venues. Communication isnt the best.

The poorest experience I have ever had in business. Usually, I am wonderful to deal with, but their policies are so ridiculous and unethical that I was an unfortunate pain to their employees and kept apologizing.

Pros

The employees tried. They had few resources to help and no managers or supervisors work for the company.

Cons

Cardconnect Does not listen to consent or value business partners. Representatives state there is no contract when it works in their favor, and then declare that continued account usage means they can make up rules as they go. There is no instant way to cancel the contract you were told you weren’t in (it took 13 days to receive a cancelation form that mentions additional fees, again when rules are made up freely for any open account). This company will not send you a copy of the merchant agreement and will not allow you to see the original contract without filling out a form and waiting 2-3 business days. The bank statements and charges are unclear and not affiliated with the company by name; being charged by “merchant services” is unclear and creates problems for busy business owners trying to stay afloat after a pandemic. Voicemail box of the appointed representative remains full when you need to reach them. Representative will fail to read email if "lengthy". When you call for customer service you are skirted around from department to department, and specific questions are not answered. Supervisors and managers do not exist, but they can still take your money. Case in point, this company's main policies and values steal from small community businesses, which we all know is a deficit not only to families but also local economies. The contract for Cardconnect/Fiserv/cardclover/cardpointe/merchantservices is unclear, unethical, and nonconsensual.

I accepted a large purchase from a customer and card connect didn't like the large amount so they suspended my account and refused to deposit my funds into my account for many weeks. It was over a month until they deposited my funds. The sale was completely legitimate. I confirmed the funds had left his bank and transferred to card connect. With no reason and no response to my inquiries, card connect kept my money. I had to change to a different service and for months after that, they continued to charge me over $50 a month and refused to make a refund even though I didn't even charge .01 penny. Disgusting! and probably illegal.

Card Connect has been consistently debiting funds from my bank account since January 2022 without my authorization. Each month, they impose varying fees under the guise of being my designated Merchant Processor. They claim that my business engaged with their sales associate, Ignite Sales Group. However, I want to emphatically state that I never consented to any offer from them, nor did I enter into any form of agreement. Shockingly, they somehow gained access to my bank credentials and proceeded to siphon money from my account without providing any invoices or statements. The total extent of their unauthorized charges exceeds $1500. Attempts to resolve this issue with Card Connect have proven futile. Their customer service system is designed to deflect accountability, with all calls being rerouted to India. After enduring hours of fruitless conversation, no satisfactory resolution is reached. It is abundantly clear that Card Connect and its associates are engaged in fraudulent practices and must be subject to a thorough investigation. I have no doubt that numerous small businesses have fallen victim to similar deceptive tactics, resulting in significant financial losses. I urge others to steer clear of Card Connect and to promptly report any instances of fraud perpetrated by them.

Simple reconciling the credit card processing account. Great simple API. I use cardpointe by Drivepayments. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has been a great help getting me on this product and we process a lot of cards without too much issue. we even can do WEX and Voyager payments
