### "Overall Positive Impressions, with Room for Improvement"

April 2, 2024

4.0

Overall, my experience with Filevine has been very positive. There are some things that I think can be improved, but overall it's a very good program.

Pros

Secure cloud-based storage of sensitive documents, ability to customize layout and settings, drag-and-drop document upload, the ability to fax documents directly from the page (rather than relying on having to print and manually fax them), and the ability to auto-generate form documents (records request letters, etc.).

Cons

I wish documents, once saved to file, could be re-ordered manually, rather than just relying on their order of upload as the only way of sorting them within an area of Filevine.

### "Time Saver"

March 18, 2021

Doc+ is still not as functional and userfriendly. The view of documents and folders. It would be very beneficial to have an option to view all of the documents in the folders and subfolders at one time rather than having to click into each subfolder to see what is in it. This process takes up valuable time.

Pros

This software has made it easy for our team members to track daily tasks and team members activities. This software has also helped us to stream line communication on our files which ultimately saves time for the team and the client

Cons

I believe Doc plus isn't as functional and easy as it could be. I believe it would be very beneficial to be able to see all the items in docs folders in one view rather than having to click in each individual subfolder

To streamline programs. However, Primafact, I believe does have a better service for showcasing documents and making edits within the documents.

### "Solo Practioner"

April 1, 2024

5.0

Other than a glitch with keeping texting to the case file working for a few months, it has been very easy to use and helpful for my practice.

Pros

Filevine is very good at managing documents and case flow. Also, being cloud based, it is accessible on my phone when needed.

Cons

It requires an license fee for more than the number of users I currently have.

Reason for choosing Filevine

I had previous experience with needles and it had too many outages for my comfort level.

Pros

I like the customization to our needs, along with the features of setting reminders

Cons

I really didn't have any issues, however, some coworkers I work with do not like change, so the constant changing of certain features threw them off.

### "Essential for Our Practice"

September 8, 2021

5.0

Pros

Filevine combines all of the task management and creation, file note taking, document storage and management into one easily accessible program. The fact that you can access this from any phone or computer is amazing. Keeping track of your clients and your tasks is so much easier and at your fingertips with Filevine.

Cons

The calendar feature could be broadened and made easier. It feels like an afterthought and we don't really even use it. The deadline chain is clunky and not very versatile. We use it but it could use some updates and improving.

It is great product that offers us the benefit of operating online. Helps with organization and efficiency. We are able to communicate with client professionally as we have their entire file available. Customer support is really awesome. I rely on \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and he is so nice and helpful every time.

Pros

So many features that make our office more productive and efficient. The customer service is so wonderful. Filevine is user friendly and enables us to have two offices working together on clients and are able to see the entire file online.

Cons

Creating reports is somewhat difficult. I just got introduced to report fusion so that will probably help.

### "Getting Filevine up and running"

September 3, 2021

5.0

Pros

we moved from no file system at all to Filevine, and are about 2 weeks in to using the system. so far, our favorite aspect of the software is that we now have almost all case information in front of us when working on a file, from intake through resolution.

Cons

Implementation was very difficult and time consuming. The software is very customizable, however my experience was that we really didn't know what it was going to look like/function until it went live. We are a few weeks into using it, and there are still many aspects that need to be completed before we can fully use the system.

Reason for choosing Filevine

We liked the layout of the product and its customizability.

### "Was exactly the fit we were looking for and seems to constantly be adding new features."

February 16, 2018

5.0

Pros

The best thing about this product is the fact that it's fully web-based. Gone are the days of needing a beefy back end and/or an SQL server to host the databases. Now all of your data is secure and in the cloud for easy access for attorneys and their staffs.

Cons

The biggest con with this software was the setup. They sold us on a seamless integration, which is never the truth, with a dedicated handler. To put it plainly, our installation was not pretty. Lots of delays and having to really push to have certain items exported from our former client management system and entered into the proper fields within theirs. Was it worth the headache of making the move, absolutely, however it could have been handled much better in my opinion.

### "Game Changing Software"

March 17, 2021

5.0

I used TrialWorks for over 11 years with my prior firm and started my new practice with it. Within a couple months I demoed multiple other case management software's for my personal injury practice. Filevine was by far the most superior out of all of the choices. I am very pleased with the Filevine.

Pros

The software allows you to have a birds eye view of everything going on in the cases in my office. It also allows me to run excellent reports and manage teams efficiently and effectively.

Cons

The email integration is not the most ideal, but it has gotten better. Sometimes the document generation is slow.

### "Build Your Perfect System"

September 13, 2021

4.0

Pros

I like that you are able to make changes within Filevine to reflect how you want your company/employees to operate. The software is like building blocks, so there are many different ways to configure your company system. The customer service individuals are also very helpful whenever there are questions or problems with the software.

Cons

It can be difficult to figure your way through the software by yourself and when first transitioning to the software, the learning process is very time consuming.

### "Not ready for prime time"

February 8, 2022

2.0

Its as shame because Filevine could truly be great. But they do not seem to focus on meeting their customers needs.

Pros

Filevine is very customizable. It is very easy to ad documents to the system from outside sources and its reporting capabilities are pretty good.

Cons

The customer service is useless. They will not talk with you. You have to send them a detailed message and then they eventually respond with a vague response that does not address the problem. Load time to view documents is extremely slow. They refuse to connect with third party PDF software so they can make more money charging you for their clunky PDF software that does not work. Using their document assembly system is cumbersome because they do not have merge fields. It is extremely difficult to customize the system. There is more but there is not enough space to describe all the cons.

Reason for choosing Filevine

The belief that Filevine would live up to its expectations

### "It is great at its strong points. It's number of strong points are increasing."

January 30, 2016

5.0

The PI department in my firm (my department) has used Filevine for about two years now. I think we were one of its first users. My firm also uses Clio. Clio has some real strengths in trust accounting and thinks like that. But Clio doesn't hold a candle to Filevine when it comes to communication. Filevine absolutely shines in the area of communication. That is an area where Clio and other practice managers fail. The Filevine Feed give unparalleled team cooperation and collaboration opportunities. Clio notes and tasks are combersome and my firm kind of ignores that feature. Filevine notes and tasks are the central feature of Filevine (imo) and it shows that the development team built it with team communication as the central goal. It is the only software that my office has ever used where I have been able to convince my staff to consistently take notes on what is happening in the case. I can think of at least four times in the last year where there was a dispute with the court, and insurance company, or a client about what we said or did. We pulled up Filevine, showed them our time-stamped notes and won the day. I also love, love, love the text-to-file feature. We can assign a private texting number to each client. The clients text directly into their case feed where I team can respond in text back. Clients can text pictures to that number, and Filevine will save them to the documents folder. If i am on the go, and I need to get a copy of a client's documents, I will often just take a picture of them and text them to the client's Filevine number. The texting feature means that texts aren't fragmented between different telephones. It means I can monitor communication between my team and my client. It means that we can reduce time-wasting phone calls by answering concise texts when we are ready. Clients really seem to love it. In all fairness, Filevine is still rough in a couple of areas. I have spoken with the developers, and I know that they are working around the clock to bring new functionality and to make existing functionality more elegant. I personally don't mind software that still has room to grow as long as it has a team that is excited about making it grow. I think Clio has that kind of a team too. I know that Filevine does. Anyway, it is worth taking a look at it. I know the Filevine team also spends a lot of time onboarding you with customization for your own firm. It is kind of cool.

### "Great File System "

April 8, 2021

Filevine has made it much easier and simpler to organize cases and keep up with what phase they are in / recent activity made within the cases.

Pros

I like the project feed feature most as it helps make it much easier to keep up with the flow and organization of our cases.

Cons

I don't like the editing PDF feature because it is difficult to use, I usually use Adobe PDF to edit PDFs instead of Filevine.

### "Functional and Reliable"

May 4, 2021

The system has been very beneficial for our purposes. We have not fully implemented and utilized the billing and settlement features.

Pros

The Filevine Software was integrated into our law practice with all the modifications we needed. It provides features that allow us to maintain all our client information in one system with designated users. This software even allows us to fax, text and receive messages from clients, providers and others through our mailroom feature. It is truly an innovative expandable package with good technical support for any purpose.

Cons

Integration into our business was an extended process requiring our personal involvement. The least likeable feature thus far is the import of external files from outside the system.
