When we had a question or an issue, we got an answer. Our client even had some unique scenarios that required customization to support, and that was no problem for the engineering team. It has helped me understand the inventory in my office immensely. Pros I like how easy the software is to use and how it gives me the information I want. For me, the most important features were 1. ease of use for my staff because if it's not easy, they're not going to use it, and 2. giving me the information I need to make purchasing decisions quickly and accurately. This meets those criteria. Cons There's one spot in my business where we have a set of different items that can be used and purchased as a set or as individual items and so far there's no way to easily keep track of this inventory because the software can only identify a quantity of the same item as a set, not different items. This is the biggest thing I wish they would fix. Adding and dispensing new inventory is easy and offers great tools and reporting to keep track of expiring product, sales and projections. Cons At times the program can be buggy and certain features will stop working such as being able to delete a transaction. The ability to trace a product it's great. The way this software handle the inventory so you can create reports its very helpful to reorder the proper quantity of products and predict the demand based on your history. The software is very friendly, easy to use and adaptable. The use of RFID helps a lot to trace a product and to make sure that the patient is going to receive the right treatment. For issues with misplaced products RFID helps a lot too. Cons I really like this software, it is so helpful, I can't think of any cons right now to be honest. It is definitely a great tool for hospitals and clinics that need to improve in their inventory management systems. November 7, 2015 5.0 After a fairly exhaustive search for an online cloud inventory control solution, we happened upon a real hidden gem. Since contacting ArbiMed, we have had a great experience. We have an inventory solution that is both user friendly and complex enough to handle our unique and individualized requirements. The software development team is user focused and thus changes are always considered and in most instances implemented almost on demand. The customer service team is top notch and always available. Pros The program Pulse is easy to use and efficient in helping our clinic become more organized when keeping track of inventory and medications. I think it is a great tool that other medical offices can use who tend to administer medications in their own clinics as well as helping to decrease staff/patient errors. Cons Pulse tends to lag and does not read the medication when we scan to add. It takes a couple tries between different browsers and having to clear the cache before the problem is resolved. It is simple to navigate and offers adding new patients a breeze. It has nice safety features such as a pop up message should the dosage given is different from the last. While simple to use, there are occasional glitches when inputting medications into the system and could work on making certain tasks more effective. For example, the safety feature mentioned above prompts a response with each medication being given. So if I am dispensing 4-200 mg Actemra, I have to type a response each time, even if the total dosage still adds up to 800 mg. For example, even if the previous dosage was 2- 400 mg Actemra. This process can be streamlined to be more efficient. Pros The interface is user friendly and the website is easy to navigate. I like how there is a quick option to switch between our different clinics on top. Cons Inputting inventory through the use of scanning or by manually typing the serial number comes with occasional glitches where the application needs to be restarted in order for it to work properly. Many of the features that made things simple seems to have been removed, like duplicating previous invoices from the patient view. Pros Easy to use, straight forward layout. Very little training time required. Cons Communication is difficult when you need assistance. Send in a case and never hear anything back.
