It helps with design, layout, and template management, making sure everything stays on-brand and consistent across our team. If you create PowerPoint presentations regularly, empower is a great tool. It’s made my workflow faster and smoother, and I’d definitely recommend it. Given how much time it saves and the quality it ensures, I think it’s a solid investment. Pros The layout tools, design checks, and shared library make it easy to create polished presentations quickly. I don’t have to worry about slides looking messy or off-brand. It is also great for team collaboration - everyone uses the same templates and assets, so there’s no confusion or outdated slides floating around. The ability to automate updates across slides is a huge plus. If something goes wrong, the support team is quick, helpful, and patient. They even record troubleshooting videos, which saves time when similar issues pop up later. Cons I find it intuitive, but some colleagues struggle with certain features. I’m not really sure how there are this many positive reviews. Terrible software that my company forces me to use. Please fix this. Pros Some of the features are a little easier to manipulate than the default PowerPoint features. Looks pretty professional at the end. Cons It’s the buggiest, slowest, most aggravating thing to ever happen to PowerPoint. In fact, I’m typing this in between clicks while working in empower. If I open up a chart and manipulate data, half the time it completely crashes PowerPoint and I lose all my work. The other half of the time it takes upwards of a minute in between clicks for PowerPoint to catch up. At this point, I would seriously consider empower to be malware. This is no hyperbole. Generally it saves us time in managing our slides and reduces the rate that we oversee changes. Pros empower has a lot of features. Most important for me is the slide management. We have a load of different slide decks for trainings with redundant slides. We are now able to store them in a database and when we update a slide, you can easily update the same slide in other slide decks, where the slide is included. Cons I would like to be able to update the whole slide but the title should be exempted (as the title would be better different, based on the flow of the slide deck). It would also be helpful to be able to disconnect a slide, when it was originally imported from the database, but changes have been made, which should be kept.
