I've worked with it for almost a year now and I like the way it is set up and the way the work flows. Pros I like the ease of finding my trucks on the map and knowing where they have been. There is so much information available. I love data and there is a lot of it here! Cons I've been working with support on an issue with my document downloads. They have been great about keeping me up to date on the progress for a fix but my work around is very time consuming. I need to be focusing on other things. Reason for choosing Motive Transflo was not as user friendly and their customer service was TERRIBLE!! I'm happy with the decision to go with Keep Trucking. This is a great asset for someone in the accounting & compliance department. Management can logon and see where any given truck is at any time. Cons When in a position, such as I am, of maintaining all accounting and compliance reports and records for several Owner/Operators, it would be an even greater asset to be able to logon to one site and check any given O/O. As it is now, I have to have a different browser for each O/O. For example: I can logon once to any state and complete several O/O IFTA, Franchise tax, etc. just by changing the O/O state ID. Reason for choosing Motive I recommend Keep Truckin to all new O/O simply due to cost, reports and user friendly format. This is the best feature Pros I most liked the fact that they keep their records for years. MOST ELD software is dumped after 6 months and in depth inspection will land you in hot water with other software companies. I passed our DOT inspection with Flying Colors with Keep Truckin. And 24 hour customer support is everything! Cons Keep Truckin has a free loadboard with their software but it DOES NOT include Canadian Cities. Hopefully they will add that soon. I recommend this software for any trucking company for all logging and tracking needs as well as IFTA. Cons I can't name any features that I don't like about Keep Tuckin other than I wish that the pricing and packages were available on the site so that when I am telling other people about them I can pull it up easily! Motive makes my IFTA report so easy to complete. Pros The switch from my other e-log was very easy. The GPS is my favorite feature. I no longer have to write the mileage down at each state line. Pros The real-time overview of all the features, geo-location, tracking, travel routing, etc. Cons The admin features need to more high-level. For example, more options for customizing the reporting style and features the drivers can have for their apps. The billing process is not great, I still have not got automated invoices, even though I have requested for it more than 10+ times. Pros They were cheap compared to the competitors and that they give you feedback on how the driver is driving. Cons The service would have glitches in it every now and then. The tracking was off several times as well. Reason for choosing Motive Motive was the first one that I contacted. The representative made it sound good, and I bought into it. Pros It keeps better track of hours needed to drive and work for the day and week, but this is if the company has a knowledgeble programer that understands truckers work day hours. Overall though, I love the product and it is a huge advantage to our business and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an ELD provider. Pros As a user and administrator, its great for managing my own log books, as well as my drivers' logs. It is such a huge help in digitally and accurately managing truck and driver data for reporting purposes for IFTA and IRP as well. Cons We have had the odd technical and equipment issue, but everything has been resolved for the most part. The issues we have had focus mostly on differences in odometer readings between the device and the truck itself, as well as connectiveity between the gateway and our phones. The latter is no big deal and fixes itself. The former took a little while to figure out, but it did get figured out in the end. Pros I like the ease of simple few hours training is all I needed to spend to new drivers. Cons I don't like the fact that it's not color coordinated for drivers. There's two drivers in truck. The GPS is accurate as the global screen allows you to see your unit in real time. The administrators features are simply amazing. Reduces the stress when filing your IFTA, IRP, along with other tax information. This is simply a great system for the money. Cons There should be something in place that will allow the cameras to record when the unit is bumped or struck while parked. My units have been struck several times while the drivers are inside of the truck stop taking a shower. Still there are not any major complaints from us. VR Verified Reviewer CA II Automotive Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Issues with the Safety Logs" May 17, 2022 2.0 Pros I like the system and always found it helpful in improving my driving habits. However, now it is a negative and affects my quarterly raises with my Company. Cons When we first were using the software, we only had a camera on the road. My KT score was always in the 80's. However, once we installed the new cameras for the inside of the cab my scores dropped all the way down into the 40's. My driving has not changed. My safety points against me are for following to close, braking, speeding. None of these issues were an issue in the past. I recently did something similar with my car insurance and they said I had one of the best scores they had ever seen. I'm not some inexperienced young driver. I haven't had an accident or received a moving violation in over 20 years. Yet, your system indicates I'm now a poor driver. I have booked calls and yes had to cancel a few times cause of having to deal with staff, but the last call I booked to get help and information the person who called to have the meeting that was scheduled to have with ME, had it with the person who answers the phone. Which I thought was totally unprofessional when it was me who booked the meeting not him. Tried scheduling another call and emailed the guy and asked why the meeting wasn't held with me and go no responses back. Pros I like it at first, it was very easy to use. Cons This software hardly ever works. Doesn't log information all the time. When it does it only half the information. Can't rely on the Motive for proper information. There have been issues they wouldn’t or couldn’t help me with. Example editing logs. Pros Logbook ease of use. However, the administration website could be easier to navigate. Cons Website could be easier to navigate for someone that doesn’t use it everyday. Reason for choosing Motive I spoke to law enforcement officers and asked what they preferred. Because, let’s be honest, the easier it is for them, the easier they make it on the driver. Also spoke to several drivers and looked at ratings online. The decision wasn’t taken lightly.
