### "Already a very good solution on its way to become greater and greater"

Pros

The product is relatively easy and quick to subscribe to, deploy, and use. We love how beautiful and uncluttered their apps are (mobile and desktop). The most needed features are covered with Motive's basic subscription and when coupled with a higher subscription and AI real-time dashcams, Motive leads the way as a premier partner for trucking companies.

Cons

We do not hesitate to use their 24/7 support (phone/chat) to better understand the product and to resolve issues. However, the best way to contact them is by phone as sometimes we tend to be less understood through the chat application and it happened several times we were left without a response for long periods of time. I recommend calling them directly for quick follow-ups and resolutions.

Everything so far, has been phenomenal. They helped us transition from our old platform, and integrate all of our units.

Pros

The reliability of service. We've had zero issues with tracking since we've started with Motive.

That they didn't reach out to me sooner to switch.

Had motive for many years. Few months before 2025 got an email saying there will be price increase. Wasn’t happy and I replied to the same email saying do not charge me because I won’t be renewing my subscription I no longer will be using motive. Ended up still getting charged with the price increase. Used it for couple of months now trying to cancel and they won’t refund me for the months that I won’t be using.

Pros

It was all good until the price increase. Was not happy about it and decided to cancel but can’t refund.

Cons

Horrible customer service. Trying to cancel the subscription and they won’t refund me for the months that I won’t be using their service.

over all motive works well, just wish they would make it so a driver could go total paperless in states that have tolls.

Pros

Motive is fairly easy to use, their desktop give easy access to vehicle tracking, as well as use of camera to record event. easy to download just need date and time of any incident you might want. we also use it for eld drive logging, lets us know if drive is short on hours or is in violation. maintenance tab helps keep track of up coming preventive maintenance that you may require. their billing is pretty standard in monthly or yearly charge. last DOT is very familiar with this system and have had no trouble getting info downloaded to them during an inspection.

Cons

biggest con is we run a lot of new york state toll roads and on ifta reports print out they do not break down toll miles vs regular road miles, just gives a total for the state. so drivers still have to manually keep a written record of toll miles. If you look at their faq page there it says they do but you have to go thru each trip, for each truck, each day. who has time to do that? customer service told us that after we called them on it.

I see the overall value of the camera & see that it has made many drivers more aware while driving to stay focused on the task at hand., accident free.

Pros

I like that several times when there was a possible circumstance beyond my control, that could have lead to an accident(but did not) the camera is there to be my back up!

Cons

It keeps telling me to buckle up(which I do actually appreciate) when I'm already wearing it. It's not covered up by clothing or anything else. Also, when in heavy traffic, I always back up or slow down to allow for space between myself & traffic in front of me yet I'll get a reminder to not follow so close. I usually try to count the appropriate seconds that are required.

I was in the Safety and DOT Compliance role with Motive. I watched our events that came in from our drivers and kept up with some DOT inspections that were due.

Pros

One good thing about Motive was the accuracy of the location of our assets and the event detection that would come from one of our drivers.

Cons

The only Con from me for Motive was it is very hard to get ahold of a live customer service agent. They always wanted you to use AI chats.

Motive was easy to set up with our client specialists, and great support during the set up of the program for our company. Any questions or concerns they answer as best as they can, and if it is a new issue they work on resolving it ASAP.

Pros

Great customer support 24/7. They also have a community board where other users can discuss issues or concerns that they ran into on Motive, and how they solved the issue. Motive is active on this as well, answering any concerns as well as they can.

Cons

The only concern i would say about motive is that it is not a satellite telematics service. In long haul trucking we travel to a lot of areas where there is no cell service, and this leads to issues/concerns with tracking the unit.

Like I said it's very easy to use and the logbook never glitches and the camera always has quality and easy to get a video when you need one

Pros

The app and the devices never give me any problems as long as been using it. I prepaid for two years and now I don't have to worry about any monthly payments.

Cons

My old app use to let me change the status from driving or to pc. Motive makes u stop for like 2 seconds before you change toys status.

Reason for choosing Motive

I've used in the past before you actually needed the device and was pretty use to it and my insurance gives me a big discount for letting them see how I drive.

Overall we are very impressed with Motive and will continue using it to boost our Preventative Maintenance program, lone worker program, and help us to remain compliant with regulations.

Pros

We like that we can see details such as speeds, infractions, hazards, and maintenance items all in one place. Motive helps us to keep our drivers safe, while remaining compliant with regulatory bodies. Our preventative maintenance program has been greatly improved with the notifications of mechanical issues that may arise.

Cons

The only con to Motive would be when the GPS signal drops. Unfortunately operating out of northern Canada, it can get patchy with reception and occasionally that does affect the performance of the GPS.

### "Over-all the product has promise but there are some issues. "

Overall, I feel like the product has a lot of good uses, and if it is what people purchase I do not feel that they will be slighted or taken advantage of. Some of the problems (GPS as previously mentioned) are annoying but it only affects the dashboard and not the logs so it is not deal breakingly bad.

Pros

I like the ease of customization and the ease of use. I can show someone how to use this product in 10min and expect that he or she will be able to do the bare minimum required of them with this. Or I can take the afternoon and show someone how to make it work for them personally and the best way for them to use it.

Cons

There are a lot of gaps in the GPS service. I notice at least 3 times a month, the gps stops tracking. It will then randomly pick up again. If it is satellite coverage, a better system is needed.

I recently attended the Motive Summit in Nashville, Tennessee, and it was a fantastic experience. Meeting the employees of Motive in person allowed us to share ideas, ask questions, and build stronger connections. Through Motive Chat, I've always been able to get my questions answered promptly and effectively. Motive has been instrumental in keeping our company out of lawsuits that weren't our fault, providing us with peace of mind. Additionally, my drivers have often mentioned how the safety insights from Motive have influenced their personal driving habits, making them safer and more conscientious on the road. The summit reaffirmed my belief in the value that Motive brings to our operations.

Pros

Partnering with FusionSite Services, we integrated Motive's truck camera system into our vehicles, and it has proven to be an invaluable asset. The system excels in monitoring our fleet, ensuring quality control, and facilitating truck maintenance. Perhaps most importantly, it has safeguarded our company and drivers by providing crucial evidence in accidents that could have otherwise been difficult to dispute. Additionally, Motive has played a pivotal role in coaching our drivers to improve their skills, leading to safer and more efficient driving habits. This investment has undoubtedly enhanced our fleet management and overall operational integrity.

Cons

One area where Motive could significantly improve is in the realm of maintenance management. While the platform does offer a way to create maintenance schedules, it falls short when it comes to creating and managing work orders. For instance, if a mechanic is performing preventive maintenance on a truck and notices an issue that needs attention, there is currently no straightforward way to document this issue for future action. The ability to generate a work order in such scenarios would be incredibly beneficial, allowing mechanics to note repairs or tasks that can be addressed later when time permits. Implementing a work order management feature would greatly enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance operations, ensuring that no issues are overlooked and that all necessary repairs are documented and tracked systematically.

Pros

Motive has been my best friend in the field of softwares. It is very accurate to reduce the risks on the road using the AI. It also saves us time and cost with deep insights into vehicle health, location and use. Theft prevention is well executed making it quite secure and precise.

Cons

Customer Experience was not as expected. I rarely get feedbacks on time. That should probably be the point to improve on.

### "Do not use this company- They are useless"

Horrible, horrible horrible use so many options. These guys will take your money and never call you back again and then give you random calls acting like they are following up on customer service.

Pros

The staff has no idea what they’re doing. They have no knowledge of their own system. Complete waste of money and time

Cons

Staff Knowledge of Devices False assurances Their own team doesn’t even know what devices they have Took me six months to let them know or for them to figure out which device that they need to send me

I really like this product. Its very easy to use and navigate.

Pros

You can use it anywhere to track drivers. Very user friendly.

Cons

I run multiple reports daily. I would love to see more reporting features.
