December 19, 2017 5.0 Pros The visibility it gives across multiple company locations. The ability to see multiple tariffs on one page eliminating the use of opening tabs. The ability to create users which on top of increasing visibility cuts down on the inbound calls from outside sales force looking for shipment information. Cons Not allowing pickups to be scheduled if it is past a certain time. If you go to a carriers site they will still allow the schedule but may have a popup saying "pickup time after 3pm maybe scheduled for next day". What that does is allow the local terminal to use its own local rules and shipment load to decide if the shipment will get picked up the same day. Need more education with the carriers to not cover up the Pro# generated with the pre-printed Pro# stickers they carry. When this happens of course, we loose tracking. The auditing process is an added bonus, as our previous system did have that option. It's a great value for what we pay for it. Viewing the shipping options and offers is seamless. Tracking the deliveries is very helpful. Cons When auditing invoices it seems like there are a lot of steps to create the custom filter. Perhaps that could be improved a bit. I like the documentation of each shipment and the ability to track easily. Pros I like being able to receive all the quotes at once. I love the tracking feature and the NMFC help being offered. Cons I feel like there should be more communication when the pickup is not going to be made. Cons I can't message carrier directedly on loads that are API connected. While Freightview is very easy to use, I found the reporting and analytics to be somewhat limited, especially when trying to pull deeper operational insights or build more customized dashboards. Our dims were put in wrong so we had to manually put everything in and sometimes things automatically went to the bill to address instead of the ship to address. I make much less mistakes with freightview. Pros I like the ability to store product dimensions in the catalog. It makes processing orders go by smoothly and without error. Cons I dislike that the fedex freight priority's sometimes have the wrong pro number. This delays my processes alot and makes it where I dont like to use it but it is always much better priced. Logging on, getting instant quotes, booking, getting the labels and documents together, and finalizing the shipment takes minutes at most, with most of the headache from shopping around for quotes completely removed. I can't recommend this software enough. No more 3PLs bothering you, this neutral TMS platform solves everything. Pros Freightview has allowed us to consolidate all our LTL freight quotes into one, easily viewable page, allowing us to choose what is best for our client, whether that is the best value, the fastest carrier, or something in between. Customer support has been phenomenal, and all my emails and issues get resolved the same day. Invoicing is easy to view, navigate, and notice discrepancies, and enabling email notifications on pickups has allowed me to ensure I ALWAYS know when a carrier has missed the pickup. It's a great, secure platform, with little to no bugs or issues, and is a fantastic way to manage your freight orders. Cons My biggest, and possibly only, caveat about Freightview is that I cannot validate residential or commercial address with the system itself. Review Source TB TIM B. The support has been solid and there are always updates on the horizon. Pros For the price point there is no match. It can help with all shipping modes. The customer support has been huge. I always get help fast and effectively and they are receptive to any potential upgrades or services that would improve the customer experience. Cons There are some company specific upgrades that i would find valuable and a more robust analytics suite would be nice. Everything has been up to par so far. They have invoicing as well, but I have yet to use it, as we handle invoicing on my company's end at this time. Pros I appreciate how easy it is to use. I've had only two questions since I began using it, and the customer support team responded within minutes to resolve my issues. I also love the email notifications. Cons I can't say there is a part of Freightview that I do not like. I've had no major issues at the time of this writing. Any minor questions I've had have been answered promptly. We use several SAAS software packages and Freightview offers the best support of any of them. Their Chat support answers questions quickly and correctly. If there is an issue (which was probably 4 times over the past 7 years) it is resolved usually within minutes. The software is easy to use and fast and prevents errors. Our A/P department uses the audit feature. The software forces our LTL carriers to be competitive and if they change their rates we know immediately because every shipment shows us who offers the best rate and the transit time. We have provided feedback with suggestions and though they may not be able to implement everything immediately, they have been responsive and make continual improvements. Pros Easy to use. Their chat support is second to none. We have never had a day where we could not use the software. Saves us a HUGE amount of time. Comparing rates and transit times is instantaneous. Creating BOL and Labels is very fast. Customer Service can see what is booked, the status of shipments so they can tell customers if their shipment is going out that day without checking with shipping. If you have customers that always want to know as soon as the freight is scheduled for pick-up you can set that customer to get an email automatically when you book the freight. For drop shipments, the system will automatically send an email with a link to the BOL and labels to the shipper with just one click. We always know which is the lowest rate and the transit time. Cons There is nothing I do not like about the software. I would like to see an additional feature. The software tells you the price and promised delivery time for each carrier. I would like to see next to that the percentage of how often they deliver on time for that lane. I have provided this suggestion, and I am hoping this is something they can add. I know this is a complicated data analysis and not simple, but for shipments that are time critical, it would be very helpful. We have found that carriers have good lanes and bad lanes so we cannot make a blanket statement that a carrier who is always reliable to one location is always reliable to another location. Also, ease of access. Freightview gives all necessary info at the touch of a button. Pros I've used a couple different sites, CH Robinson being one of them. Freightview is EASIER to use. Having the Class Calculator is a simple necessity and I'm happy to use Freightview! Cons I don't believe; I'm not sure, but Freightview doesn't tell me if it's too late to ship LTL for the day. I have used it for several years and have no plans to use another software. Pros This is a very user friendly tool. I can go through and schedule shipments with ease whenever I need to. Cons The only issue I have had with Freightview so far is the transit times that pull from carrier websites. They have been inaccurate a handful of times, but that is all that comes to mind. Seeing the different quotes and ship times makes it simple to choose the best option for every order we ship. The search function also works very well. Cons The only major issue we run into is that Freightview will not always quote correctly for oversized or nonstandard sized pallets, so we often have to double check with the freight company that the amount is correct. I don't hear back from some trucking companies, only to find that they have been messaging me through Freightview and I didn't know it.
