I opened my own Boutique Fitness Studio in May 2025 and was looking for easy-to-use software. I was previously using Wellness Living (at the studio I was teaching before), but didn't need all the bells and whistles that make things much more complicated and glitchy. I was used to Trainerize, so using Glofox made sense. It's been really great so far and I haven't had any issues and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a software.

Pros

I had a great introductory call and signed up on the spot. I love the easy-to-use software; there hasn't been any service interruption since using it. The software runs smoothly and doesn't really need any explanation. I wish there were a few features that I was used to before, but overall, for any small studios, this is a great service for a very great price that does everything, including billing, marketing, sales, etc.

Cons

I wish there was a way for monthly members to book more than 30 days in advance to prevent waitlists and frustration.

I switched from Virtuagym and the experience with glofox is night and day compared to virtuagym. If you are outgrowing you current CRM then Glowfox is the platform for you.

Pros

Easy onboarding, feature rich platform at affordable price. Very scalable solution for multiple locations. Branded app is a must have, it solves all of my scheduling and appointment management! Automation and organization of leads and clients is excellent.

Cons

Live customer service comes after a few different AI Q&A exchanges. I dont think glowfox is any different than any other company nowadays moving to automation

### "6 Months waiting for a fix re: scheduling issues"

I started a new spa and infrared Hot Yoga business in July 2024. The sales team tells you everything you want to hear boasting support, ease and profitability. My onboarding rep was not knowledgeable and frequently responded to my questions with “I’ll find out” and then to never provide a straight answer- for this I didn’t complain just muddled through to get open in time. Then out of the blue, I was given a new rep who after I shared my concerns, apologized for the inconvenience but did no better besides offering up excuses why the answers are hard to come by. The leading answer was due to the people who build this app are located in Ireland and the time change provides difficulty for getting answers timely. That’s a Glo fox issue not the problem of the business people trusting the company we are paying to do the job. I was sold at the start about the pre-sales ability within the system. Odd that the salesmen could speak so highly about it but the on-boarders didn’t have a clue how to make that happen. I paid for several months before opening in hopes to have a solidified app to open my new business with and to conduct pre-sales to provide a huge opening month. This did not occur! I should have backed out prior to opening but I’m always leaning toward hopefulness. A few months go by clients do love the app and it does keep track of my unlimited clients packages which is very nice and yes even easy for yogis and spa clients. October arrived and I’m not sure if the app had an update or what occurred but all the sudden without any change to the schedule/availability on my end and (in fact the back end shows my correct hours), clients can all the sudden book appointments well into the night all the way to 2 am. I have had to call several clients to reschedule which doesn’t look good on a new business. I reported it right away in October. Multiple reports through multiple reps even the sales rep who sold me the package. No one has been able to fix this creating more desk work for me which is why I went with Glo fox in the first place to reduce my desk time. Finally in December I was connected with a rep I can reach out to for follow up regarding my concerns with the scheduling/availability times. Even after she heard my concerns no one has been able to fix the issue. She was able to provide me with a very tiny discount for the month of January and February. I followed up today and she does respond within the same day thankfully, but the answer is completely unacceptable. Her response: “The fix is still in the works by our engineering team. I currently do not have an exact ETA, but it is prioritized for this quarter.“ The quarter ends in March, that is 6 months of non answers and no fixes and last week a new issue has arrived. I can no longer adjust the price at check out. I haven’t heard any response on this new thing that is happening. I’m posting to help people make better choices- read reviews don’t make the mistake I did by attempting to stay hopeful.

Pros

The app is great for the clients and not having other business advertising to my clients on my businesses app.

Cons

Customer service is terrible. 6 months asking for assistance. Misrepresentation at sales level.

That they don't have their own access control. They do integrate with Kisi, but having to have members go to a separate app is not my favorite.

theres alot of settings, functionality which is pretty awesome. And surely, it takes time aswell to set this all up. But once its set, its quite easy to handle the system.

Pros

Its a big system with alot of functionality, but the service and onboarding service was great. Louise was always reachable and helpful!

Cons

The integration of moving members from another studio to a new studio. Unfortunetaly there was alot of manual work to be done. Like setting the correct membership, dates and so on. Also when creating staff. Upon deleting them, you can't use the same emails unless you change it again, despite it being deleted. One major defect is that not all customers get emailed when pressing forgot password.

Customer support has been poor at best. I've been trying to cancel my subscription as a gym and studio owner, and it took a month before I received a confirmation about cancelling my membership. Despite multiple emails, calls, and submitted tickets. Since then, I've ben trying to get my data migrated to a new system and am once again begin ghosted. I do not recommend ABC Glofox.

Pros

Not much. ABC Glofox has very little I would say is a pro.

Cons

1\. Reporting is not robust enough and when I've asked for my own data, I'm met with roadblocks. 2. Glofox doesn't allow for gift cards. 3. Price increases that do not correlate with improved functionality or support. 4. Bulky marketing suite. 5. Lead-Client functionality does not capture our business model well enough and I can't adjust it. 6. Cancellation process has been arduous.

Pros

How easy it is client facing. Just a few clicks and you’re booked.

Cons

The workload - I was lead to believe the migration would be done for me stress free but it was a lot of going back and forth. All sorted fast but time consuming. I have one complaint. If there’s 2 studios in the same area using the Glofox system clients have complained they have to keep signing in and out. Would be good if they could have two accounts on my profile to access different studios as and when.

Overall experience: I am very happy. The user interface is very easy to use, which is important when on-boarding new staff. Account managers are keen on feedback on improvements, with Glofox constantly releasing new system/feature updates, which shows that our feedback has not gone unheard.

Pros

So far so good and my clients like it. I can quickly makes changes to my schedules or check my clients attendance and profiles. It's pretty cool.

Pros

Easy, user friendly scheduling and client booking. Their customer service is also very good. My onboarding was excellent.

Cons

No direct links to my business on glofox. Too many steps for clients to get to the app unless you pay for your own app with the them, which is expensive.

Pros

I have definitely seen improvements with communication over the past 4 -6 months. Their customer service has improved greatly. Overall the staff are very supportive and friendly to work with. We have been really well supported during the COVID-19 challenges and very much appreciated Glofox seeing what customers needed and added some great features during this time. The one downfall is communication - especially when things change eg. booking only into your next booking period - this was not communicated to us that the previous 'glitch' (as explained to me), where you could book in as far in advance as the studio allowed if you were on an unrestricted membership, had now changed. We could not communicate and or prepare our members returning to in studio classes (after COVID) for the changes - and hence created a lot of stress that could have been avoided.

Pros

Easy to schedule classes, dashboard is well designed and easy to navigate, great user app, new features that were added during COVID-19 - zoom integration to live classes, on demand feature for members.

Cons

The current set up to memberships allowing subscription members to only book ahead into their next booking period. This does not provide flexibility for our business and creates a lot of confusion for our members. I can understand how monthly billed memberships can work on this system however ours are weekly (see below). So members can only book a max of 2 weeks/min of 1 week in advance. It then creates confusion amongst members as to why some members can book further ahead (ie credit pass users) and if members have different payment dates its a bit like a yoyo effect. Explaining how it works to members is very confusing. This feature has only come into being in our studio. Prior to COVID-19 closures members were able to book 4 weeks in advance (booking window set by us) but now it has changed has caused great havoc. It has taken away a lot of value in our product and flexibility in the way our members book and become very frustrating for members as well as staff now managing the queries. If I knew this feature would come into play before we signed up to glofox I actually would strongly reconsider my decision. We are a small boutique fitness studio (we provide reformer class - max of 10 per class) our membership costs are expensive ($40-$55 per week) hence all of our members are on weekly subscriptions. We also provide credit packs for client who want to pay per class.

Cons

I think the emails/ notes should be custom to your brand, not glofox, it's very confusing to receive an email with all the glofox branding but it's from my business.

I spent a decent chunk of money (~$650) to simply try out the program for 3 months; 1 week in I knew it wouldn't work for my needs, but gave it the ol' college try to see if it would grow on me. They didn't have recurring appointments, so I would need to log in daily to add in my recurring clients in advance so those slots didn't fill. Fair enough, it just doesn't suit my needs at the moment.Since I've decided that this program didn't suit my needs/wants, I've been trying to cancel my renewal for over 2 weeks now with no one from customer service getting back to me. There is no way to cancel for myself online, so I've been reaching out to customer service with phone calls & emails, as well as the people who helped me through onboarding (who were wonderful along the way btw) but no one is getting back to me with a solution. The one response I got from my onboarding person was not the answer to my question, but rather a link to book an appointment with her, with her only availability being after my renewal date. Not impressed with the follow through on this! Kinda feels like they do the work to get you into a subscription, but none of the work to keep you happy once you're past onboarding!If the cancelling hasn't been such a hassle, I wouldn't have a negative thing to say about this assuming it meets your needs for your business, it's decent looking, has billing and scheduling etc, but it should NOT be this difficult to talk to someone.

Pros

It looked nice (branding etc) it appeared to encompass all aspects of a what a gym would need to operate. Onboarding people were very nice and helpful.

Cons

Layout of customer app wasn't great, had less tech-savvy customers have issues booking an appointment because it wasn't a super smooth process. Didn't have recurring appointments when I signed on (it's currently in beta), didn't have different location booking for separate training areas when multiple clients need booking for the same timeslot.

I went with GloFox after talking with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and seeing a demo, comparing to other products, and reading reviews. Once I signed on with the product- everything changed and what \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] promised from the start did not happen. Training was tedious, disjointed, and incorrect. We had to go back and rework things several times because the trainer did not take the time to understand my business before talking me through set up. Once operating, support does not respond, glitches in the system do not allow my processes to happen and I then need to take extra time to do things manually, I have been charged for things that i did not receive and no one one will refund me, web integrations make my website look archaic, they are dysfunctional, and GloFox will explore options to improve. Not sure where the good reviews came from so I feel obligated to help others to stay away from this product. I am so deeply embedded in GloFox right now, it is going to take me a lot of time to dig out of it, but i will be switching products. Stay away from GloFox.

Pros

the app works well and is easy for the user, everything else is a nightmare

Cons

I went with this product because the demo call was promising and GloFox had good reviews. Once I began using it, training was horrific, web integration is archaic, the systems management on the admin end is complicated and time consuming, GloFox is unable and unwilling to alter its system to fit the needs of its customer in any way, i end up doing most of the work manually because GloFox is not compatible and does not work Customer service is not supportive and will not respond, if they do the do not help. Once I signed my contract, I became a nuisance to the staff, communication is poor, and they would rather push me away than try to help.

So far - so good. Glofox has a huge impact on the way I look at my business right now. The glofox time is always ready to help and teach us how to use the app - whic made my time realize how we could become more professional and trained. It had a good impact on us in so many ways . Our comunication with our students are much more clear and we can see the great results of it. When we are talking about online servive sometimes it is easy to become just like roobots, and glofox showed us that there is a way to make it more human. It made my life easy and closer to my future dreams.

Pros

For me, as a owner of a really small business, it was really hard to work during pandemic time. Our reality was too much work and not enough clients, not because we were not good enough to sell, but because we did not have the people to deal and give the propper service for all our new customers. We were always struggling with delay of communication - and not enough time to respond all the clients doubts. With glofox, some questions are alredy answered by email and by the app itself. Now we have more time to focus and train our time, so we can have a high standarts customer service.\[ We were afraid to make the full transaction to an online system because the prices were really higher for us. But in three months of the system we managed to have more than 3 times more students now. it´s gave us the opportunity to sell ir large scale and to delivery our work for people all over the globe. Me and my time are happy with the results. Thanks a lot.

Cons

There is nothing I would say, I would like least. But from my experience - all my students don´t realize they have access to recorded classes in the app. I would make this botton more easy to notice - because it is important for us that all the people do benefit from the classes we are leaving ther eofr them.

### "Without Glofox I would have been very stressed"

Glofox staff have been so supportive over the past few years of my yoga studio. They helped me navigate through the pandemic and the changes that brought to my business. They are always happy to help and hear feedback.

Pros

Loved the online website integration and the app. Made me feel very successful and fancy as a business owner. Made it so easy to have clients book in and for me to sort out clients online bookings from where ever i was as well.

Cons

WISH i could bulk text or email from course or class list!

Reason for choosing ABC Glofox

It gave me freedom to personalise the booking system and web integration a little bit more that its competitive. Glofox was also very early in their years as a product so they were able to take on feedback and make changes more than other companies that were a bit more stuck in their ways.

### "Client Migration"

Overall I have had a great experience so far. I migrated the client list from one system to another as I took over a branch from another business and re-branded. I was dreading the data migration as it was taking place before the Easter bank holiday weekend. But thanks to \[sensitive content hidden\] in the migration team, everything went more smoothly than I could have imagined. They did a great job and kept me fully informed throughout the process. Thanks so much guys. I genuinely can't thank you enough.

Pros

Straight forward and easy to use. Integrates easily to your website.

Cons

Online links for classes as I mentioned earlier.It would be more practical to have only add the link to the class once rather than for every instance. It would be useful to be able to select specific client to send emails to.

### "Currently switching away from glofox"

Pros

definitely user friendly. was easy to setup, and is easy for our members to use. i like that memberships can be adjusted and like the reporting feature.

Cons

quite a few options have been changed recently making it not everything I signed up for. I don't like that they only offer quarterly billing, and is a bit pricey for what you get out of it given other prices I have been shopping around . customer service has been horrible the last 6 months. I cannot ever get through to anyone, and when I do leave messages or send emails, I rarely hear back unless I harass over and over and over again. then when I do finally hear back it is usually a couple weeks later. this is the primary reason ihave chosen to switch away from glofox . I also don't like that they don't have an app feature for admin, and that you have to use a desktop computer to run the software. you should be able to make sales from your phone or tablet.
