Do not expect proper customer service after you become a paying client. Pros It offers many applications. If you manage to integrate all information inside the platform to run your business, can be quite useful. Cons My experience with Odoo has been very disappointing. Once you become a paid client, it is extremely difficult to receive direct and proper customer support. If you encounter any issues with your account, instead of solving them, they simply redirect you to their website, leaving you without real assistance. Ironically, before subscribing, Odoo will call you all the time with demos, offers, and follow-ups. But once you pay, the attention drastically changes. There is no easy way to contact someone directly to help with technical or account-related problems. " February 12, 2026 5.0 Overall, Odoo is a really great app. It is very easy to learn and use. Many features like customization, tasks tracking, multiple integration and automation are available which saves a lot of time. It's been around 4 months i have been using Odoo and i love it. From sales and invoicing to task management everything is at one place. Pricing goes up as we app more features and apps however it is worth to use it. Pros The best thing about Odoo is that it is all in one integration. It manages sales, CRM, inventory, HR, accounting and projects. Odoo also automates many stuffs such as invoicing, workflow approvals and follow ups which saves a lot of time. It is also very easy to use and has features for customization. It is a good value for the money. Cons Customer support feels bit slow with lower price subscriptions. With Higher plans subscription the customer service is feaster somehow. June 6, 2025 5.0 Prior to Odoo, we were managing within five different systems. Now all of our payroll to inventory valuation is centralized, enabling us to be scalable and lower overhead costs. Pros Since Odoo is modular we can run accounting, inventory, manufacturing all in one platform. What I find particularly valuable is that everything is related to the financials and directly to supply chain: you have accurate cost tracking. Cons Some modules are less mature than others. Pros Very good and support team, mostly excellent configurability, wide range of functionality and modularity is great. Cons Price of license with odoo.sh Especially for small and one-person companies like mine odoo.sh is prohibitively expensive. I only need one license for myself. odoo.sh de facto triples the license price for a single user account. I would love the many customization options that are only available with odoo.sh but there simply is no way I can justify such a major cost increase. For companies with 5 or more users, odoo.sh is less of an issue and at 10+ it starts to become a negligible increase. I would love to see a hosting price that starts a lot lower for odoo.sh if the account uses only one license or maybe a staggered hosting price for 1-5 licenses. I would be totally happy with a Server that has more limitations or one that is heavily overbooked with single user accounts, since the chance more than a tiny fraction is active at the same time is negligible. For small to medium businesses it can do what is needed right out of the box. Be prepared to pay for third-party apps and support once in a while. Pros The features available in the Community Edition are mostly enough for what we need to do and is standardises processes across the board. We can then sell other small business work for configuring their own since we use it too. A lot of the business functions and processes are already built in, it is just a matter of activating the module you need and then configure it. The e-commerce feature is the simplest I have used, almost anyone can create products because it was built from a layman's perspective. The community is vibrant and helps with some issues if you have them. You might have to pay a partner for support and added functionality which is mostly once off. For a fraction of the cost, there is no worry of licence renewals just hosting fees. Cons Some functionalities which are basic in alternatives are not available even in the cloud version. You need to test third-party apps yourself which you might not have the time for and can break current functionality. Not all issues are addressed in the forums if it is not a common issue; a lot of issues are still open from previous versions. The official documentation is sometimes shallow. If you still want to work with Odoo, go through a freelancer who will respect the specifications. With Odoo: Salespeople's promises are not kept, you have to do all the implementation, bad imports, the packs are used to correct their mistakes. The budget explodes and it's never their fault. When faced with a problem, the standard response is ‘everything will be fixed with the next version’... in the end, it's not. In the end, this is not the case. The people in charge absolve themselves of any responsibility by replying ‘it was mentioned that the version could solve this problem, not that it would’... nice trick! It's better to go through a professional working with Odoo. He will understand your needs much better and will respect the specifications. The drag and drop is unfortunately less flexible than I experienced with Elementor (e.g. photos can only be posted as 100%, 50% or 25%.) But with a little creativity and adaptability, I made it work for what I need. Pros I like the fact that the one-app free plan is free and free for life. I have figured out though I have to be careful NOT to (unconsciously) trigger another app to change my free for life plan to a paid subscription. Cons What I didn't like is the lack of clarity of the free one-app plan. Some of the building blocks you can drag into a website come with an "install" pop up, but it should come up with a pop up that explains CLEARLY : "installing this feature will change your free app to a paid subscription. I only clicked to install the website app and "live-chat" and "e-commerce" popped up on my websites page. It seems there were features in those 2 apps that triggered the paid subscription plan. Yes... I didn't go through all the instruction video's, but I think Odoo could be more clear about which apps belong together to stay on the one-app free plan. On the apps page Website app is listed with 5 sub apps. I assumed all of them automatically belong together in the free one-app plan, but I seemed to be wrong. Odoo need to be more clear about this. My problem is now solved (with very good client service), but it could have been avoided if Odoo was clearer on how and when the paid subscription gets triggered,... what belongs together so it won't trigger. The fact that everything is integrated into one system – sales, accounting, inventory, and marketing – really helps make workflows smoother and improves overall visibility into operations. The interface is fairly modern and easy to understand, which is great for someone who doesn’t have much technical knowledge. However, when it comes to more advanced setups, I have found myself needing to hire a consultant for initial implementation as some aspects of the system can be quite complex. Pros I really like its user-friendly and modern interface. This software has an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. As it is an open source software, Odoo is very flexible to customize applications according to the needs of the company. Odoo integrates all areas of the business very well, facilitating the management of business processes from accounting and sales to inventory and marketing. Cons Initial setup and customization can require a lot of time, technical knowledge or expert help. Sometimes, when we want to upgrade Odoo to a new version, previous customizations may not be compatible, causing additional effort to adapt custom integrations or modules. Otherwise, all is well. El soporte es muy eficaz. Cons El tiempo disponible para probar otras aplicaciones (15 días) me resulta escaso para poder probarlo en profundidad, así como para poder exponerlo ante otros miembros de la empresa con el fin de valorar la compra del producto. Reason for choosing Odoo Cuenta con una interface mucho más intuitiva. Además es mucho más completa y no ha presentado errores en su funcionamiento.
