Overall, my experience with QuestionPro has been very positive. It’s a robust platform with flexible features that meet both simple and complex data collection needs. The ability to customize logic, use dropdowns, and export clean data has made it an essential tool in our evaluation and reporting processes. The customer support team is one of the best I’ve worked with—always quick to offer guidance and solutions.

Pros

The ability to input full lists of data into dropdown menus has significantly improved our data analysis process. This feature saves time, reduces manual entry errors, and ensures consistency across responses—especially when working with large datasets or repeated values.

Cons

There was a bit of a learning curve when first building out our survey, but the support team was responsive and helpful throughout the process. Once we understood the interface, it became much easier to navigate and customize.

The product has been very easy to use. We need it once a year (usually), and it's so easy to take last year's survey, tweak it, and send it out to a new batch of participants.

Pros

Setting up a normal survey is very straightforward. As you dig deeper, you can unlock more complex input logic, branching, and a bunch of other options to add a richer experience for participants. Security measures and validation features are also robust, offering a host of options to ensure you get input from the people you want.

Cons

The process to renew non-profit licenses is a bit cumbersome. I would much prefer a discounted non-profit option to the free license that requires additional steps every year for renewal.

### "QuestionPro is holding our survey data hostage!"

Pros

It was fairly easy to set up a survey.

Cons

We signed up for a free account and they mentioned on the pricing page that there was a limit of 1,000 submissions per survey on the free version. What they failed to clearly state, though is that once you go over 1,000 submissions on a survey, you GET COMPLETELY LOCKED OUT OF THE SURVEY!!! We got a TON of SPAM submissions even with the provided Captcha field added, which quickly pushed us over the 1,000 submission limit. But, instead of shutting the survey down, they continue to accept submissions and instead REVOKE ACCESS TO THE SURVEY FOR TEH CREATOR. Now I can no longer view, edit or even close the survey without PAYING FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION because they don't offer a monthly plan. So, essentially, if you are on a free account and go over 1,000 submissions, QUESTIONPRO WILL HOLD YOUR SURVEY DATA HOSTAGE UNTIL YOU PAY FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION because they don't offer monthly subscriptions. The reasoning I was given was that "they didn't want a bad experience for the survey takers" which is why they leave the survey open. What about the end-user experience for the companies setting up the surveys though? Personally, I'd rather my survey get shut down at 1,000 submissions and still be able to access the data then to have them keep collecting responses that I can't even access. Their customer service was also very slow to reply and the account manager was 15 mins late to our first meeting with no heads up, so I ended up waiting and having to reschedule.

Very good, we utilize it for a lot of things, including applications for our programs. We also like the ability to get a QR easily on every survey.

Pros

I like the reports it automatically produced for us. Good value. IT is as easy as Survey Monkey but a much better nonprofit rate. It also has more relevant training opportunities.

Cons

The application we put online was difficult for the applicants. Many filled it out multiple times. Also, they require you write a review on this site to get the discount. This kind of requirement felt coerced.

Great. We use it a nonprofit organization and have been satisfied. We have been able to design advanced surveys and the analytics are a time saver.

Pros

The translation feature is very easy to use. We translate our surveys in multiple languages. Question pro provide many options and features that other survey programs do not. It is pretty easy to design a survey that is more complex, and you not have to be a data scientist to do it. The analytics and charts provided are superior. It’s great that we don’t have to download to excel to analyze.

Cons

Would be great if it had more templates or preloaded questions. The system can be daunting at first because it has a lot of features and options.

As a small nonprofit, we struggle with evaluations. We need a system that is easy and quick to use, but nearly all of those are out of price range. We're so grateful to QuestionPro for providing a free option for nonprofits!

Pros

We've used Google survey and other free online surveys in the past, but QuestionPro is far better. The conditional questions are easy to set up, and the look of the interface is clean and clear.

Cons

We've been using QuestionPro for two years now and I've never had to contact customer support, and really haven't found any parts of it that I don't like.

We wouldn’t have been able to improve and adjust our membership benefits as effectively without such an incredible tool.

With the limited funds most non-profits operate on, having a survey tool that allows us to easily gather critical information from our members is incredibly valuable.

It would be helpful if the Non-Profit account allowed more users, but we are extremely grateful to have access to this tool.

Excellent. Good team to work with. Straight-forward product and non-profit offering. Really top-tier compare to free access for non-profits offered by some of the largest companies in the world (e.g. Google, Salesforce).

Pros

Great non-profit policy. Elite survey functionality. Much better than using google forms. Easy to learn and use GUI.

Cons

Not really any cons. The non-profit version naturally has some functionality that is locked. Paying for those functions may be a barrier for some.

Pros

Nonprofit pricing, good for complex surveys

Cons

The nonprofit pricing is pretty strict about sending in requirements annually to maintain the discount. I also find QuestionPro to be less user friendly than SurveyMonkey, but there is functionality that I do not use, and that might be better.

Pros

Easy to use on both sides—survey creation and for survey participants. Customer service seems to always be available by chat and very helpful. We are a non-profit organization and data collection is of utmost importance. QuestionPro was a perfect fit for our needs and organizes the data in an easy to read and easy to use format.

Cons

Some of the functions are more advanced for our needs (which are basic), so we had a little difficulty the first time we created a survey. However, customer service was always available to walk us through it and now we are able to use the functions to our advantage.

Reason for choosing QuestionPro

Confidentiality was easy a high factor in selecting this product since our population taking the survey was uneasy with something they felt wasn’t going to be truly anonymous. We had formerly used common products in the past (google, survey monkey) and our response rates were declining rapidly. Using this product, we received an 80% response rate as it was trusted.

Overall, QuestionPro has been dependable for both quick pulse checks and complex, logic-heavy instruments. We conducted surveys quickly, tracked responses in real-time, and provided clean datasets to our evaluation team. Support has been responsive to advanced logic and integrations. With fuller nonprofit features, it would cover nearly all of our needs end-to-end.

Pros

The platform is fast and intuitive. Branching/logic and piping are easy to configure, templates cover most use cases, and collaboration/version history are straightforward. Real-time dashboards make it simple to monitor completes and drop-offs, and exports (CSV/Excel/API) are clean for analysis. Mobile/offline collection is reliable for field work.

Cons

The nonprofit plan lacks several features we need; we’d prefer access to the complete feature set. Advanced branding/styling are limited without custom CSS, and complex multilingual surveys require extra setup to maintain consistent labels. Some deeper analytics still require exporting to BI, R, or Python.

Very easy to use and a great option for nonprofits! This platform is incredibly easy to use, making it a fantastic option for nonprofits of all sizes. Whether you’re just getting started or have been operating for years, the user-friendly interface ensures that anyone on your team can navigate it with ease.

Cons

Not as customizable for the user interface, and has a short storage limit, which then requires you to export the information, then delete it before reopening the questionnaire.

User friendly for someone who does not have that much experience designing online surveys. We have relied on QuestionPro for many years now.

Pros

I appreciate that QuestionPro has offered our nonprofit a free license for over five years now. The question types are robust and on par with what I would expect from any other survey software. We use a tool to embed the live results from one of our surveys onto a website. It saved us a bunch of time coding and creating charts so we can get our data out in front of more potential partners.

Cons

When designing a survey in 2024 we ran into an issue where we could not include more than 100 questions in our survey on our license. QuestionPro offered us some alternatives but we did not ultimately end up publishing the survey for other reasons.

We have been using QuestionPro for over ten years. It allows us to create easy-to-complete online surveys, that can be undertaken easily on many devices. The software has been very well designed. We use it to collect the data of our members from all over the world, for this reason we need to compare the data obtained between them and QuestionPro allows us to download reports in Excel files, text files and Power Point files. You can send invitations directly, monitor responses and manage the unsubscribes.

Pros

QuestionPro is a very versatile and above all intuitive product. There is a great variety of fields to choose from that meet our needs. We understood the logic of use without the need for explanations.

Cons

We use the free nonprofit license and it sometimes limits certain functionality. It would be interesting to try the upper levels.

Pituitary World News is a nonprofit organization in the endocrine rare disease space dedicated to improve people's knowledge of these diseases and improve the time it takes to diagnosis. We use QuestionPro to elicit feedback from our readers. QuestionPro is easy to use and provides a tremendous amount of functionality to our research needs. Their support is excellent and the team is a delight to work with. We strongly recommended it

Cons

Cannot think of anything we would change or recommend. We could see a need to improve its functionality with social media.

Using QuestionPro has allowed us to quickly report results to our grantors, and it has helped us identify areas for improvement in our services. The availability of templates for creating surveys has also been extremely beneficial.

Pros

We greatly appreciated the format of the reports, particularly the survey report in PDF format, as it can be easily shared. The templates for creating new surveys are also very user-friendly.

Cons

Enhancing the contact lists for survey distribution would be beneficial. Integrating Google/Outlook Contacts would simplify the process.

Pleasantly surprised during our use of QuestionPro just how easy it was to design each questionnaire. Not only does it offer many question formats, the responses can also be designed as needed for each question. There is also an ease in movement of questions within the questionnaire as you create and edit for the final version to send out. The data output from returned questionnaires is also easy to access, read, and help shape future programs, strategies, or events.

Pros

Easy to use, many options for question and answer formats, as well as the ability to fully brand each questionnaire.

Cons

Based on our use of QuestionPro, there really wasn't anything we found to be a con. It fulfilled the needs of our organization.
