It allows us to monitor our employees productivity for a value that cannot be beat - FREE! Cons No complaints; unable to complain about software that is offered free of charge. Only suggestion is for the free version to possible allow storage to be deleted for a certain period instead of having to delete the entire history. Pros As a business, that has employees internationally, we need to be able to monitor our staff. Activtrak allows us to do this discreetly and safely. Cons I think the mac deployment could use some work. I ended up removing it from 2 machines to catch 1 person watching porn on a company computer. He never saw the program and there were no indications that it was installed and gotcha! Usually only a small set of employees needed tracking Pros We suggest this product any time our customers need to track employee internet usage. The time line and screen shot features are very nice to see what an employee is doing through out the day. Also the fact that they give you 3 free computers is a bonus it allows you to really dive in and experience it before buying! Cons There really are no cons, it does exactly as advertised. I like simple and straight to the point! Cons I guess the only thing is that some of the more advanced features i had to play around with as they are not that simple to understand but once i really looked into them i understood how to use them. Pros I love this software I can see what my employees are doing on the computer. I need to do some additional research and set-up power BI to establish a dashboard with KPI's for each person, division, and office. Pros I can allow my employees to work flexible hours and from home and still be assured that I am getting the hours that I am paying for. I can attend to accusations by investigating accusations (booking time on projects and not doing the work) and what actually happened. The employee can compare his perceived productivity vs actual productivity. Cons The fact that you cannot allocate time away from your computer. We have a lot of meetings, site visits, travel time, and even leave that I would like to capture. Reason for choosing ActivTrak We have been struggling with perceived vs actual time records for a long time. ActivTrak have solved this to a great extent. Cons No way to type in words in a search bar to easily navigate what youre looking for. Would be nice not to have to scour through the website looking for what you need. Also being able to see current things going on an being an to track users on different devices. Cons Some down times or glitches. Pros The interface is very friendly, it enables us to set the dashboard in ways that allows us to control the issues and activities that makes real sense, with the right and actionable information. The information is available in real time, so if there's an activity with a short time to deliver, the managers will be able to push their teams in order to complete this schedule. The possibility to classify websites and apps as it appears is great also. Cons I've started using it few months ago, so there's only one thing that bothers me. Like that it captures all screens for the system Cons I would like to be able to know what all internet tabs are that are opened if a screenshot is taken. would like to be able to configure the default screenshot timeframe. Pros The best thing about this software is its ease of use and learning curve. Activtrak can do almost everything an IT support company can do, but for a fraction of the cost. Cons There are not many cons to this software. Once you get it installed on the computer it is very easy to use. The only thing I could recommend is an automatic software update on the computers it is installed on instead of having to go to each computer and manually update versions of the software. Pros It's very easy to stay on top of things like making sure people are doing what they are supposed to. The screenshots are also a good way to check. The admin section is easy to use and understand. Cons It would be nice to be able to filter out idle time. Then I could check a range of time to see how much work was done, not including idle time. Pros I could see just how much time was being wasted during work hours. It shows information from employee's computers onto mine. I could see if too much time was being spent doing things that are not productive or work related. It's completely hidden and enabled me to gather a tremendous about of information and proof that she was not doing homework when she was supposed to be. It was also very helpful to see when she was clearing her Internet history in attempt to hide her activity from us. Also loved the added bonus of being able to block sites where the majority of time was being wasted. I am so glad I found this tool and definitely see an application for it in the workplace as well which I am considering. Cons I honestly can't think of anything I would consider a "con" of the product. It does exactly what it says it does and it does it very well. The only cons for me is that I'm currently using the free version and don't have access to some of the other features, but I would probably only need to have those in a workplace scenario.
